    New item: Deep Fried Shrimp

Everything excellent , make me so enjoy this restaurant, will try new things next time

The food is really good here, I'd say it's a little more on the healthier side. It tends to be a little chilly if it's cold out but I just order green tea to warm me up.

Disappointed again... stingy on the meat and vegetables. This place used to have twice the fixings (carrots, veges with the meat). I gave them 2 chances so far since their quantity/quality went down. I will need to try someplace else. Not sure if I'll give a 3rd chance.

    Vegetable dumplings

After reading a few of the highly rated reviews, my sister and I decided to give this place a try since we were in the neighborhood and we were so glad we did. Millie was our server and she was wonderful and so sweet. She answered any questions we had about the menu and made some good recommendations. We had Vietnamese shrimp summer rolls and shrimp shumai for appetizers. Millie so kindly gave us the vegetable dumplings as well and everything was delicious - we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic and we can't wait to go back again. This place does a lot of takeout orders. While we were there, we heard the orders coming in every couple of minutes, and so many people came in to pick up the prepared orders. It was nonstop. Whether you want to do takeout or eat in I definitely recommend that you try this place out.

Fun flavored Asian snacks for purchase

Going back and forth between 2 and 3 stars. I honestly have no idea how Kenko is rated so well on Yelp because it definitely missed the mark! I was so excited when I saw the reviews and the prices are very fair. I ordered the fried Vietnamese spring rolls appetizer, a grilled pork banh mi, and 4 speciality rolls on their website. We got a free takoyaki appetizer because we spent over $50. I didn't catch the $1.50 convenience fee until after I submitted payment so jokes on me. When we went into the restaurant I was astonished as to how small the place is. It's basically a takeout spot with a few tables and chairs. They have a cute little shelf with assorted Asian flavored snacks for purchase. Food was prepared and ready in the estimated time. - Fried Vietnamese spring rolls - These were far the worst and most disappointing ones I've had. Comes with two. They tasted just like regular egg rolls you get from Chinese takeout restaurants... only served with fish sauce. - Takoyaki - Good. Not sure this can be messed up though. - Four Specialty Rolls - Specifically the crazy Kenko roll, pink lady roll, Atlantic roll, and I don't even remember. Point is, it was not great. Edible, seems fresh though. We actually had leftovers and threw them out... that says a lot and I hate wasting food and my husband usually act as a human garbage can. - Grilled pork banh mi - This is actually pretty good. Not good enough for me to drive 15-20 minutes from my home to get it though. I'm convinced I ordered the wrong things. Maybe I should've stayed away from the sushi and got pho. Anyway I will not be back.

Pho w/Sliced Beef (Fillet Mignon) and fried rock shrimp

The Pho w/Sliced Beef is fresh and delicious, and rock shrimp was very good. I ordered delivery and had a special request -- the restaurant accommodated me. This is going to be a regular spot for me. Can't wait to try out other dishes.

My son's orthodontist is just up the block but have been there in almost 10 years. It's literally next to the train station. We've been going to another place for pho but we were game to try something new. My son said he's gotten sushi from them for lunch, it close to where he works. We both got the short rib pho and a couple of rolls. Got surprised with a complimentary appetizer, fried shrimp with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Shrimp were juicy and delicious. The pho was so good we both finished it all. Our new go to for pho!

Soho Roll - spicy tuna, yellow tail, avo in a fancy, light seaweed $13.50?

We ordered delivery and this place did not disappoint. We're new to the area, moved here almost a year and a half and it is so hard to find good Asian food that isn't your usual takeout Chinese. This place stuck out bc it offered pho, banh mi AND sushi so, needless to say our expectations were low. Trust me when I say I know Asian cuisine. I'm Asian and I lived in Queens, NY for almost 20 years. The pho came piping hot, noodles were hot and carefully packed. Portions were good and the broth was full of flavor. Also, the restaurant is so thoughtful to include fresh accouterment like fresh basil, bean sprouts, and lime. Did I mention they also included hoisin and sriracha (which is low stock everywhere)??!! Sushi was great quality and dare I say, best I've had since we moved here. Fresh, rice was not too soft and you can tell the ingredients weren't just sitting around. And the Banh MI, fuggedaboutit! Top notch with Pickled veggies, creamy mayo and soft bread (you can request spice level). I hope they continue to do whatever they are doing. I get it, it's hard if you're a new business but I'm definitely ordering here again and will consider dining in bc if the delivery is this good, the in-house experience will be off the hook. Sorry no pic other than the sushi, we devoured everything!

YES, went back again for the very same!!!!! Loved it a second time around ppl!!!!! lol

Guys, Jay & I took the liberty of trying out your new local Banh Mi spot & have to say we were pleasantly surprised by their special Traditional Banh Mi. So whether you're into the traditional or the BBQ Banh Mi, you're covered cause the Traditional is a combo of both. Some places, even the famous Saigon Banh Mi on Grand Street serve the BBQ version on the dried out or overdone side, but not Kenko! Then there's their take on the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Typically very condensed milk sweet & creamy, but not at Kenko! Theirs took me back to 1983, I was 7 years old & my older siblings brought back a pack of Kopiko which was a Japanese brand coffee candy & I managed to snag one before they even realized....ahhhh refreshing to say the least.... Oh we asked for spicy (I believe it was just spicy mayo given they also serve sushi rolls) & would definitely amp it up next time to very spicy upon our next visit. Yes, there shall be a second visit....Bon appetitto....lol

Earl Grey bubble tea - $4.25

Please be sure to follow CDC guidelines in regards to COVID and please do not visit restaurants if you or someone in your party does not feel well. I'm very particular about my Banh Mi and am hesitant about trying new places. While the banh mi was decent and well made, it wasn't the kind that would make me go out of my way to get it. The restaurant is quaint and clean, and has a decent menu. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi and the Classic Banh Mi with an Earl Grey bubble tea. The Grilled Chicken Banh Mi was pretty good. The meat was well done, and the bread was fresh. It was toasted and had the usual pickled carrots and cucumbers. However, I do wish the meat was marinated a bit more. There was also no option to add an egg to your sandwich. For me, it was a 7/10. The Classic was a bit too much for me. The roasted ground pork was very well done and well seasoned but I found the ham to be overpowering. To me, it was a bit too much meat. It was a 7/10 as well. The bubble tea was average and didn't really make an impression on me. It was pretty standard and around a 6/10. Overall, this is a good spot to grab banh mi if you're in Long Island and craving it. That being said, I wouldn't go out of my way to grab banh mi here if you have the chance to go to Flushing.

Great food and service, near my office, I would recommend Kenko's Sandwich and milktea.

Cinnabar location should really survive the restaurant test of time…read more The staff has always been top notch along with the various food options and clean, nicely kept decor. The seafood has always been super fresh and picture perfect, made to order every time. Jumping in on one of the all you can eat options is worth it, as it truly gives you an option to try familiar and new items that hopefully become a fan favorite. Cocktail and Drink menu is vast and super tasty whether you opt alcoholic beverages or non. Dessert menu is limited, but after eating all you can of the menu I suppose room in the tummy is limited. Could be nice though to have a few more small bite options outside of an ice cream cup. Purchasing a Groupon to discount your final bill is super easy, and easy to hit minimal required total after ordering an adult beverage or two. Opted to celebrate my NYE Birthday here this past year for my first try and came back again recently for Mother's Day Unisex restrooms are kept neat and there is at least (the first) one with a baby changing table. Parking is plenty but can be a little tight during peak dining hours. Highly recommend this location as it has and more than you could ever want in one seating.
