You can either get it vegetarian or beef and I decided to give each a try. It comes with eggs, green chili sauce, black beans, cheddar cheese and mixed greens. They were both good but the vegetarian had a better taste to it. A bit spicy but not overwhelming. Our server was quick with our orders and came back to us to check on us as well. You can buy owls!!!! Not real owls of course but they have tons of pictures, figurines and niche stuff that is all up for sale. Of course the food is why we came and enjoyed our meals immensely, but left with an owl lamp! Service was wonderful and so kind. This place has the best vegan food ever. Wish I lived closer. I'd be going here very regularly

I've had issues with my to-go orders here several times, and it's hard not to feel like it became intentional after I gave them honest private feedback about their vegan breakfast burrito. The vegan breakfast burrito itself is overpriced and underwhelming. It's completely dry, with no sauce, and missing basic ingredients like beans and avocado that should be standard, but they charge extra for each. By the time you add what's needed to make it edible it's over $20. One time they even served me a "vegan cheese crisp" without the tortilla, said nothing about it, and she just handed me a plate with a massive amount of melted vegan cheese with fake meat and egg underneath. Later I saw online photos confirming the dish is supposed to come with a tortilla. Instead of letting me know they were out, they served it anyway, no heads-up, no apology. It felt like a joke and was honestly inedible. Repeatedly, when I've ordered to-go, ingredients listed on the menu (like beans) were missing. That seems to be a recurring issue, and at this point it feels like a pattern I can't ignore. I don't know why they would treat a paying customer this way, especially since I've even brought several new people in to try the place and I would go here alone often. On top of that, they charge "fresh squeezed" juice prices but serve store-bought pasteurized OJ (like Minute Maid). In Phoenix, of all places, where fresh citrus is abundant, this feels misleading and lazy. The atmosphere also doesn't help the mismatched furniture looks like it was pulled from an alleyway, which makes the space feel careless, just like the service. To make matters worse, they delete comments and block customers on their social media instead of addressing criticism or improving service. That says a lot about how they view accountability. The manager wants me to email him instead of addressing my concerns or taking accountability here. read more

What a great find for our Sunday Brunch. Having out of town guests I wanted to take my friend to not only a place I've never been to, but speaks the perfect vibe. The toasted owl is a fun place that has owls all around to look at. Sort of like being in grand moms kitchen but cool enough for those looking for a midtown vibe. Located right next to "The Changing hands bookstore" it's the perfect place to grab a delicious breakfast and shop next door. My friend had the French toast which she enjoyed. I was able to enjoy her leftovers a day or so later and still quite good. My omelet was delicious and my husband enjoyed his breakfast as well. Parking is a bit limited and we did have to wait about 15 minutes to get in but overall a great experience. I'm looking forward to when we go back. read more

Ok so January 1, 2024, needed breakfast and my usual spot was closed for new years. I yelped and this place came up. Called and they said we are open till 2:00pm. No problem doing laundry next so I'll go for breakfast first. Everyone must of had same idea as the place was packed and a 50 minute wait. The yelp pictures were so appealing I said I'll wait. Went back to car and they text me my place on the waitlist. I ordered the Flagstaff Omelette with potatoes and rye toast with fig jam, and hot chai. Can you hook a hose up to the hot chai it was liquid crack im addicted. The omelette was phenomenal as well but the green salsa for the knock out and fig jam is the bomb. Delicious! I know of the location in Flagstaff, so I was so happy to see a new location pop up in central/midtown Phoenix. This place is so cozy and comforting. The food is delicious and the servers are so welcoming. I had the biscuits and gravy and my mom had a breakfast bowl. All of it was just perfect. I happened to come across their first day opening by pure accident picking up a charity donation at Changing Hands right next door. What a joyful coincidence and experience. The staff are amazing and the food was delish. I got the grilled, artichoke cheese with a side of jalapeno bacon, so good. The cafe is pure charm with every owl you can imagine in the place. Every single thing in the cafe is actually also for sale. I loved their pantry dresser/wardrobe piece in the woman's bathroom. Hmmmmmm! Tons of other conversational pieces on the walls. Chase the manager came over to my table and we chatted for a bit. My server was amazing and I even got to meet the owner, a prior teacher cohort fellow Foodie like me. A soft opening is suppose to be like a practice run to get the kinks out but I had no issues when I was there. I did have to go up to the cashier to pay due to the carry around machines not working but that is very common when they are new. Besides, really? If that is the worse thing to happen, so what. Call it a great day! Many restaurants have pay as you leave cashiers anyway. The menu has a lot of heathy options. Gluten free, Vegan, and just regular diet too. The owner has some experience with using food for health medicine so it is a good place to go with all your different eating style friends joining in all at once. I'm truly sad I've never come across the same dish back home in California but now I know what i'll be attempting to recreate heheh.. Service was great. Woo knew that this place was right under our noses! We've been looking for a breakfast spot that has plant based options and we finally found one here Uptown! The food was beyond flavorful. The space is small and they don't take reservations. Intimate, quirky place, with an antique vibe. There was a collection of owls along the ceiling of cafe, which gave the space a nice touch. I loved the beef tamales! Salsa was delicious and eggs and beans were a nice addition. French toast was on the dry side but had good flavor. I would go back to try the pancakes and an omelette. Stopped for our first real meal post/camping at Havaspai Falls. They did not disappoint! The service was efficient and super friendly. Food came out quick. Mimosas and coffee were delicious. The spot is decorated homey; made you feel comfy! We ordered the homemade cinnamon roll for the table to share which is what I would recommend. You can tell it is made in house. Between the four of us we had the Horned Nest of Goodness, breakfast tamales, and biscuits with gravy. All dishes were licked clean. We also got to try the jalapeño bacon which was delicious! Loved this place when we visited the one in flagstaff so I took my coworkers here on our last day of our conference. Started with bloody Mary's and mimosas! They were great. This is such a cute, eclectic little place! My husband and I stopped in for some breakfast while we were in the area. My husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was delicious! There was plenty of chorizo, and the meat had a subtle kick of spice. My french toast and bacon were also very good! The toast is nice and thick, and the bacon was perfectly cooked and smokey.
