Overall very good experience! The mimosas are yummy and only $7! The food is delicious, they have chicken tenders that come with your breakfast and at first I thought that was an odd combination, but it was amazing! It is so cute and antique in here! This is such a cute, eclectic little place! My husband and I stopped in for some breakfast while we were in the area. My husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was delicious! There was plenty of chorizo, and the meat had a subtle kick of spice. My french toast and bacon were also very good! The toast is nice and thick, and the bacon was perfectly cooked and smokey. Super cute inside and friendly staff. The kitchen still needs to iron out some things. We ordered biscuits and gravy, breakfast bowl and a pancake. The biscuits and gravy were decent, breakfast bowl is funky. Potatoes are too big to be bite sized, but it's in a bowl so really awkward to navigate and each with other items. Eggs were way over cooked. We ended up actually sending the pancake back because it was super eggy tasting and the batter had fallen and was flat. Really rooting for this place though! Was looking for a new brunch spot to try to catch up with a friend and this place did not disappoint!! Went in on a Saturday morning around 10am and was told by the sweet hostess that it would be a 15 minute wait for a party of two, which was no problem at all. After 5 minutes or so, I got a text that my table was ready and was sat at a nice table inside. Our server came and greeted us and got us our waters and our drinks order. The menu was full of so many yummy sounding meals, I couldn't decide. Ended up choosing the Spanish omelette with a side of a pancake instead of toast and it was absolutely to die for! The potatoes were seasoned and soft. The omelette was filled with lots of chorizo, cheese, veggies, and that slightly spicy green chile sauce on top. Now the pancake was huge and warm, plus the addition of butter and the warmed maple syrup made it even better! Took some of it home since it was so much food. Loved everything about this place, from the cute owl decor, great service, and delicious food. Will most definitely be back to try more of the menu! Great Place for Brunch Great way to start the day. If you're looking for great service, delicious food you have to try this place. Nothing fancy, but really good comfort food. On this visit we shared beakfast tamales, a breakfast burrito, pancakes and potatoes and everything was fresh, well seasoned, made to order, and served pipping hot. I really enjoyed the tamales and pancakes. The pancakes are huge and the homemade strawberry preserves was the perfect pairing. I love a good avocado toast and had been looking forward to trying the Phoenix toasted owl location! I ordered pickup online. It was ready just a couple minutes after the expected time, but it was pretty busy here. Also I love the location, right near some other cool places like changing hands! Looked cute inside here too. I got an avocado toast. For some reason I only ordered one meal and they only charged me for one meal but they gave me two! So now I have an avocado toast for later if I want haha. My only complaint was that the potatoes were ice cold, and I tried a bite as soon as I got them so it isn't like they got cold on the ride home. But otherwise everything else was good, do wish the toast they used for the avocado toast was a little thicker and crispier, but the toppings were extra fresh and yummy! This little gem was DELICIOUS today! I had the almond pancakes with a side of sausage. And an elder mimosa. My friend had the veggie egg scramble with avocado and pomegranate mimosa and endless coffee. The coffee comes hot or cold. Our service was on point! I showed up first. It seemed full, but I got a table for 2. Everything is for sale, including the tables and chairs. It's a cute neighborhood gem in the corner of this outdoor mall with another restaurant. The place is charming and rustic. Reminds of being in Prescott with casual and cozy with no loud music. People were having quiet conversations. The wait staff were very pleasant and friendly. They didn't bother you often. They would walk by and if you needed anything I would ask The front are windows but covered with shade from the trees. It is right behind Newton's Prime Rib. I had pancakes and they are very good. You can order just one or two. I ordered two and I said I would like a co Tao er to put one away. He put it in the container. Nice. It's been a issue with me. The cafe is nooked in next door to Changing Hands Phoenix, which is in one of the green belts. The parking lot and front of the building were nice and shaded, it almost felt like I wasn't in the desert for a moment. While we waited to be seated we perused the books and purchased more books that will sit on my nightstand for all of 2024 before they get read. I love the open floor plan especially since we went on a day where it was not 100 degrees. Everything from the chairs to the owl decor is for sale. I took home an owl mason jar. My partner ordered a custom omelette which was fresh, tasty, and fluffy. The potatoes had a great garlic flavor, cooked to have a crisp outside and a mushy inside. I had the prosciutto and brie sandwich. To quote my least favorite spiky haired TV chef, "talk about a flavor bomb!" I subbed the ciabatta for sourdough because I felt with the fat in the brie the ciabatta would be too much. I think I made a wise choice for my tastebuds. The brie was silky and buttery. The prosciutto was prosciutto with a pungent saltiness contrasted against the sweetness of balsamic. I would come back a million times for that sandwich. My sweet potato tots were fresh and yummy, but I did think it needed just a little more salt. Overall I was super happy with our food and will definitely be going back tenfold. read more

The Toasted Owl is tucked behind/next door to Changing Hands Bookstore, possibly one of my favorite spots to hang out. The Owl will page you when your table is ready so if you are like me, this was a blessing :). As for The Owl and Sunday brunch, the food was just so-so. We shared an almond cake (eggy and almondy), a veggie omelette (nicely filled with veggies but cold, the potatoes were at least warmer) and a Happy Trails Salad (generously packed with dried blueberries, dried cherries, fresh strawberries and walnuts but the balsamic vinaigrette was oddly very salty at the end of the taste). Our server was busy with other tables and we didn't see her beyond drop off and check. Not a slam on that person, they appeared short staffed, a theme lately. I wouldn't rush back. read more
