The staff is always so friendly and funny. There is so much space on the inside so you can either grab your food to go or comfortably sit down and eat on site. They also offer more than salad so if you're looking for something heavier on the carbs, they have pasta and baked potatoes. My favorite part has to be that little piece of bread that comes with each salad. It is so delicious. Also the variety of salads is better than any competitor I've seen. Today was my first time at The Toss Up. Went in a whim because my sister and I couldn't decide what to eat but I wanted soup and she needed soft foods because of a toothache. So happy we came here. The food was delicious and there service was amazing. From the moment we got there, the cashier asked if it was our first time and when we confirmed she went through the menu and added what she liked personally. Then she offered samples of their specialty drinks and they were all good. While we were waiting they came out with a tray that included a sample of all their soups. They were all delicious but personal favorites of mine where the tortilla soup and the chili. Ordered there loaded potato with broccoli cheddar soup and their spaghetti and meatballs as well as a clam chowder. Everything was delicious. A friend took me here and I'm so glad they did!! Everyone was welcoming. The menu is quite extensive and I'm very indecisive lol I got their Dreamy Vegan Salad! Yum! And more YUM! And their Chimichurri vegan ranch dressing?? Chef's kiss!!!!!! I'd put that on EVERYTHING! They've got 2 tvs in there so you can watch the game or whatever you like. They got high tables, booths and it's a nice amount of seating for everyone to enjoy. What I really loved was the customer service! Parking can get tight sometimes but I am usually able to find parking, When you walk in, the staff say hello all together. I like the lively colors and open kitchen space. The owners are friendly along with the staff. If you have any questions about the menu located above the cashier, someone is able to answer your questions. The food is made to order but the wait time is not long. While you are waiting, you can sit in one of the comfy booths or high chairs. My favorite is the salads that have really great dressings. My husband and I decided to give this place a chance since we're trying to eat a little healthier. Walking in we immediately felt welcomed and like the staff was happy to see us. The young woman at the cash register was kind enough to give us an overview of the menu and some samples of their juices (which were delicious). We placed our order and sat down to wait. The booths are colorful, clean and comfortable. It was a nice calm environment. While we waited the owner gave us samples of all of their soups and they were AMAZING. My husband loved the chili and I loved the tomato bisque. We took our order to go and were pleasantly surprised when we got home to see a beautiful presentation; my bowl looked even better than the picture. Everything was delicious. The service here is really great--they greet you and walk you through the menu, explaining that you can make substitutions and pretty much curate the salad you want. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Husband and I first time visiting today and let me tell you I had the salad and it was the best I've ever had, the honey mustard dressing Lord Jesus and the barbecue ranch dressing the best. My husband had a big baked potato with the fixings and I tired it so darn good and I'm not just saying this if you never tried this place please go. Delicious but that's not what will make me return. The service was exceptional. It was my first time here tonight. The owner I believe came out and explained the menu and then gave me tasters of their specialty drinks. I really liked the tangerine & cardamom. I settled on the mandarin salad and subbed grilled shrimp for chicken. It was huge and I enjoyed every bite. Clam chowder was delicious, definitely not out of a can. Service is just OK. Once seated, no one really checks if you need anything. So I had to look for someone to refill our water glasses.
