I'm a fan of simply salad however when ordering from this location the chicken was extremely salty I had to throw it out. I called the location to see if there is anything they can do about rectifying the situation but they said the only thing they can do is leave a note for the cook. I couldn't speak to a manager since there isn't one available until June according to the person I spoke with. I don't usually leave reviews but this was necessary because from the efforts it took me to eat the $15 salad my stomach started to hurt. It's also unbelievable that this salad is expensive for the times we are living in, yet Simply Salad cannot help in any way make my next experience better. read more

In the past, staff have always been happy to accommodate my request for extra lettuce, and those experiences kept me coming back. Today felt different, and I left feeling disappointed. When I received my Caesar salad, the portion of lettuce was noticeably small -- far smaller than what I've received before. When I mentioned this to a staff member, I was told the smaller portion was due to my toppings being placed on the side. I want to clarify that I asked for the croutons and cheese on the side simply because I planned to eat the salad later and didn't want them to go soggy -- not because I wanted less food. For $7.50, I don't think the salad I received reflected good value. The plate felt sparse and underwhelming, and the explanation I was given didn't really address the core issue, which was the lack of lettuce. I've had many great experiences here before, which is why this visit stood out for the wrong reasons. I genuinely hope this was a one-off, because I'd hate for it to put me off returning to a place I've previously enjoyed. read more

Got to the Caesar wrap to go and it was pretty good! Only thing keeping the review from 5 was that the wrap fell apart since it wasn't wrapped all the way but that's ok. I ordered a Cobb Salad through the Simply Salad mobile app order much to my dissatisfaction, I found a hair on the dressing cup inside of the salad bowl. I contacted the restaurant and they had me email the photo. Waiting for a response and a refund or replacement salad. I've never had issues with Simply Salad before but finding a long piece of hair inside of a salad bowl was not a good experience. read more

I'm a fan of this place because I can make my salads exactly how I like them, but lately at the Gardena location they've been giving me the ingredients basically whole. The whole reason I order my salads here is because they're supposed to come chopped--otherwise, I would just make them at home. I'm honestly very disappointed. If I go in person, I have to specifically ask them to chop everything so I can get it the way I like it. And if I order through DoorDash, it's a gamble--sometimes they do it right, sometimes they don't. This has been happening for about a month now, and it's affecting the overall food experience. I ordered their El Jefe thinking that since it's one of their menus but turns out it's faster if you order custom (it's like subway so I'm dumb for not realizing it) I was surprised It took more than 15 min to prepare my order when there was no body else in front of me just one online order and 3 employees. Minus one star. What disappointed me was that I ordered protein to be ON TOP as you can see from my receipt, but they still gave me chopped and mixed. Another star taken away. We recently discovered Simply Salad in Gardena and have fallen in love! Within the last week, we've order three times and each time, we absolutely love the food. Today, I placed my order online and went to the location to pick it up. When I got there and provided my name, the team member behind the counter let me know they didn't see my order. As you can imagine this was a little upseting, and then, I realized it was because I didn't pay attention when placing the order and sent the order to their Cerritos location. Before I could say anything other than "Sh*t, I placed the order at the wrong location", Yesi the team member jumped in and said, no problem, we'll get you taken care of. I showed her the confirmation of my order and she quickly went to work to make the order. I was trying to place an order on Ubereats and noticed that there was no way to replace chicken with tofu. You could remove chicken, or you could be up-charged $3 for tofu. Not wanting to pay additional fees, I called the restaurant. Trae picked up understood my situation. He was very calm and assured me that if I put in the order in the next few minutes, he would see it and personally make the protein change without additional charge. He asked for my name so he could identify my order, and when I picked up, it was perfectly done. That was the most seamless and worry-free transaction. Trae fixed what Ubereats broke and was a cool (and kind) cucumber to boot. Fantastic service. Do not place online orders here. You can see in my note I asked the to "mix dressing in and chop salad throughly, thanks!" Dressing is not mixed in, wrap falling apart 2 bites in, moldy lettuce, nothing is chopped as you can see the chicken in whole pieces and parm just stuffed in one section. I used to love coming here but the last 3x have sucked unfortunately. Maybe it's better when you're in person, but yeah they don't care for online orders.
