We came here twice on our two day trip the food was that good.Everything was homemade and flavorful. Between the 5 of us we had the Monte Cristo, Florentine Benedict , breakfast tacos, Lemon Meyer Riccotta pancakes, Tofu scramble, Avocado Toast, chicken fried steak, beignets, Turkey Omelette, Onion rings, Biscuits with homemade jam, Hash with Bangers and Avocado Tacos. The coffee was brewed fresh and the service was friendly and the twins were there making us feel so welcome. Ordered a ham and cheese omelette. Got my order and the service was good but my omelet wasn't. Got a lot of cheese in my omelette but for the ham they used thin lunch meat ham cut up in little squares. Really you don't use real ham but thin lunch meat ham and for the price. I've been a loyal customer since Twins opened. I can't believe that I have never had their Tuna Melt, but I tried one recently, The sandwich was homemade, crafted from locally sourced fish, slow cooked and seasoned to perfection. The fresh fish and the seasonings, held between perfectly toasted sourdough bread, made for a sandwich I was hard pressed to put down. As a septuagenarian, I usually take half the meal home for later; but not this time, It was so good that I ate the whole sandwich. I knew it wouldn't be the same reheated later. This might be my new favorite breakfast spot! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by one of the employees and he let us know we could sit anywhere we would like. To my surprise there were 2 tables open because the place was packed! The restaurant has a home style ambiance .We sat at a table and were immediately greeted by one of the twins. She offered us drinks and let us know what the specials were. I went with an oj and my boyfriend got a Diet Coke(canned). She took our food order shortly after, I went with the Florentine Benedict with bacon added and the beignets.My boyfriend chose the French toast with the brandy sauce and a side of bacon . We received the beignets first and they were delicious! They were paired with a scrumptious homemade berry sauce and brandy sauce. Our food arrived shortly after, the florentine Benedict was AMAZING. The potatoes were nice and crispy! My boyfriend also enjoyed his French toast. The french toast was probably one of the best French toasts that I have ever tasted. The only downside was that we did have to ask 3 different people for the check, which was understandable because it was extremely busy for a Monday (holiday time). The last time I was here, I got the tofu hash with steamed spinach instead of potatoes and a biscuit. The tofu is cooked in a curry sauce (?) and I like that the let you swap out the potatoes for veggies. Their home made biscuits and Jam are good too. The vibe is unpretentious and cozy. Lots of wood. My husband ordered breakfast and I ordered lunch, and we were both happy with our choices. Everything was scratch made and delicious. I stopped in on a Sunday morning and was able to get a table pretty quickly. I ordered the two egg breakfast which came with a large plate of breakfast potatoes and a biscuit. The biscuit was full of layers of flaky goodness. I will be back for the biscuit alone. It was so good! And you can tell these are homemade which is the best part! They have daily specials, which are located on a chalkboard when you walk in. The menu was very reasonably priced overall. The entire staff including the twins and owners were working hard. We ventured out to try their chicken fried steak breakfast. It was a hit for us. The place was hustling and bustling as it should on a Sunday Brunch time. They had a good amount of customers. We sat up at the bar to eat. We had view of other customers, the staff at beverage station and could see the kitchen from where we sat. The service there was amazing. Family owned business and it shows. It was refreshing to have breakfast at a place that appreciates their customers. Everyone there was happy to be there to serve you. Everyone there checked on us frequently to make sure we were okay or needed anything. Now, the food. Their chicken fried steak was very crispy. The texture was just right. No gristle nor overly breaded. Omg!! The gravy was so tasty. One of the best gravy I hav3 had in Sonoma County. We have been on a roll finding the best of both worlds, meaning steak and gravy. The gravy had the perfect blend of seasoning. It had some sausage and I could only pick out the thyme, which I love in gravy. It wasn't too thick nor did it taste like flour. Eggs, order over easy as requested. We were given various substitutions to choose from in place of country potatoes. We chose their garlic fries which had a nice balance of garlic. Then comes the homemade biscuit! Sorry, no photo of it. Took extra time for it because I asked them to cut it half and placed on grill. My personal preference and I like it extra crispy, kind of like toast so it can stay crispy for my butter and their homemade berry jam. Biscuit, I tried it by itself and had good flavor.
