We have eaten here for years since we moved to NW Ga. Great late lunch place or dinner. Menu is stable meaning they stay with what they know. However, recently last visits , we are close to the three strikes rule in eating here. Soggy FF in one meal, roasted chicken was really reheated and not freshly roasted, (returned it and they took it off the bill and no manager showed up interested in hearing from us), heavily charred brussel sprouts and way overdone cold hamburger another time. Its clear to us there has been a change in the kitchen. My hope is these last three visits are an anomaly or if not the management takes this as a serious review and corrects the quality of their food in this great location. On the plus side this last visit when we returned the chicken, the beet salad was the best we've had. read more

Loved the look of the restaurant and our service was amazing, however we were very disappointed in the food. Overall it lacked seasoning. Aperol spritzer was very tasty! Calamari was not seasoned and marinara lacked flavor but it was cooked correctly. Goat cheese ravioli was our favorite dish. It was tasty but the jalapeño Mac and cheese was disappointing in flavor. I had the beet salad with chicken added. It was just ok. The burger was decent and fries were properly salted. Cookie pie was interesting but not amazing. Overall we were disappointed but will try again. Seemed to us to be more of an execution problem from the kitchen. read more

I've been coming to Union for a couple years now. The food and atmosphere have always been very good. Wait staff is friendly and prompt as well as helpful and knowledgeable. I suggest the club sandwich as a quick filling lunch, but nearly every item on the menu has been very good. Hands down the BEST local spot in town. From their drinks to your entree, everything is delicious. Great spot for a date, family outing, or relaxing evening. Menu selection is phenomenal. I have had several of the entrees and have yet to be disappointed. Lately we have been enjoying their salads with chicken or salmon. Food is priced just right. Meh...been here twice now and the food is just ok. Nothing spectacular. I don't think I will go out of my way to return. The first time we went with a large group at night and I had shrimp n grits, which was ok, perhaps a bit too salty. The second time I went was for lunch and I had gnocchi. It's supposed to be one of the favorites, the waitress said. But it was underwhelming. To me the only cool thing about this place is that its in the middle of nowhere suburbia and not in a commercial zone. So in a way it is tucked away. Evidently the restaurant has been here a number of years, but we just found it a few months ago. The union is the closest restaurant to my house and the nearest other place is 5-10 minutes further so we go here a lot. Great staff and atmosphere. Often very crowded but the wait is usually less than what you think. I enjoy a little wait as we can get a drink at the bar and strike up a conversation with the bartender or another guest. Great eclectic mix of comfort foods with great beer and wine choices and full bar. Sit inside or out. Don't be discouraged by the wait or tough parking. It's worth it. read more

We visit Union frequently and think highly of the menu, food quality and staff. This place is a local favorite. We usually get the Ahi Poke for appetizer and it is fantastic! Dinner items like chicken parm and schnitzel are best around easily. Steak Frites is another great option. Fish sandwich for lunch I could eat every day. Small bar area but great service and $5 glass of wine is unbeatable. Parking is hell here but worth a visit if you're near. Highly recommend. read more

This place seems to be busier by the day. Which is great. The food is consistent. The staff is small so don't expect them to delightfully cater to your suburban entitlement.. Went last night and had an incredible dinner. No wait, prompt service etc. Spent a decent amount of money on dinner and cocktails. Problems lies when I went back to my car and realized that I was stuck. I went back into the restaurant to ask for assistance they explained that this happens all the time and that I needed to call a tow truck. $150 dollars later for the assistance to get my car out, plus dinner! How ridiculous! You clearly have a problem and don't want to spend the money or assist your Clients. I will never again go back. Beware! No parking or you have to get towed to get out of the parking spaces due to the mulch. Just Ridiculous! read more

Very disappointing. They obviously have no concern about their customers. I ordered the chicken noodle bowl. I specifically ordered it because it's gluten-free and has glass noodles instead of wheat noodlrs. When it was served, I noticed it was regular spaghetti noodles with gluten. They did not tell me they were out of glass noodles. They just hoped I wouldn't realize it. When I brought it to the server's attention, she had no concern about the error, nor did she apologize or try to correct the situation. I asked that she please substitute my meal with the sloppy Joe entree. After waiting 15 minutes, I was served a Sloppy joe with only lukewarm onions and sauce and only about a teaspoon of ground beef. I could not believe my eyes. I asked the server why she would serve me a plate that obviously had nothing but sauce and onions on it. She just shrugged her shoulders. This was supposed to be the redemption meal for the original error. The server did not try to make the situation right, nor did a manager even come by to apologize. They charged us for our meal and didn't offer to do anything other than refund the meals that were made incorrectly. I ended up leaving the restaurant without eating. And my cocktail was weak with no flavor and overpriced. read more

Surprised there aren't more reviews. Good wine list at excellent restaurant prices, and very good, consistent food. The service is also consistently good. It is essentially Sedgwick food (Vinny's, VG Bistro, etc.) at lower prices. Neighborhood location in Milton which is well known (and patronized!) by the locals but is a secret to most everyone else. Yes it can be loud, but their outdoor patio seating is extremely comfortable and peaceful. Someone in my family eats there at least once per week. Great bartenders too. Nice little farm house in the country converted to gourmet restaurant . Let me start off by saying that the chicken Parmesan is the best I've ever had! Great menu choices. Lots of variety to accommodate whatever you're in the mood for. Lots of good drink choices and good beers on the menu too! Only thing that kept it from getting a five star is the parking. It's a field. No problem for me but some people might be bothered by that. Tight quarters as well. Besides that it's an amazing restaurant! read more

A really cool little restaurant out in the country. I stopped in here yesterday with buyer clients who were looking for a home in the Milton High District. We passed this restaurant and decided to stop in and give it a try. Glad we did - it was 97 degrees outside and we all had a great lunch and re hydrated. I had the club sandwich and home fries and the sandwich and bread were very good - and large! My clients kids had the huge burgers and pasta and everyone was very pleased with the food. I was particularly impressed by the attentive wait staff and and the unexpected cool almost in-town decor, housed in what looks like a turn of the century country store. Loved this stoner Reataurant the very first time I ate here 6 or so years ago when the waitress didn't know how to spell soy! Food is fabulous! Shrimp and grits are the best I've ever had!! Came here for a date night with my husband. We got a bottle of the house red wine, which we enjoyed and it was priced well. For an appetizer we had the bbq chips which were okay but not worth what it was priced. For dinner we had the shrimp & grits and chicken schnitzel. Both were delicious but the portion on the shrimp & grits was rather small for the price...it left my husband still hungry, so he finished off my chicken. For dessert we had the doughnuts which were neither horrible or great, but felt it was over priced. The service was great. The ambiance was also nice but the music was loud, as we had to basically shout to hear each other (not ideal on a rare date night). We might give this place another shot later, but feel the price for what you get on some items doesn't make sense. read more
