The person making the appointment spent a great deal of time with me trying to figure out which one of the services would work best given the time of day and who was available. She may be worth more than what she is getting paid. In any event, this was a good experience and by the time I left, all effects of the too much caffeine had been vanquished. I was genuinely sorry I didn't have time to schedule another visit.

If you are more high maintenance and want all the extras and more expensive spa features this may not be the place for you, but giving that as a warning now so someone with that type of lifestyle doesn't go in thinking it's something it's not. I really feel like I have to leave a review because some of the negative reviews almost discouraged me from going here, but I am SO glad I did. About 2 weeks ago I strained a muscle in my left upper back and another just deep to my L shoulder blade. I have background in PT and work in healthcare so I tried to resolve it myself with no avail. In the field I work in, I am axial loading A LOT, carrying heavy bags, gear, and equipment. This week I told myself I NEEDED to get a massage. I've gotten several over the years as someone with Thoracic (70deg) and lumbar (50deg) severe scoliosis. I got a 90min full body massage today for $90. I had Lucy and she was GREAT! I showed her the areas I was having tightness and she worked that out and more in the first 30 minutes. I was skeptical at first because the first 30 mins of the massage were dry with no lotion, but I think that was intentional to work out the knots that I had throughout my back. For the next 30 mins, she used lotion and primarily continued on my whole back, neck, and upper glute area. Last 30 minutes she covered my limbs front/back and chest area. I am a 5'2, 160 lbs, solid, athletic build female. My masseuse was probably no more than 120lbs but you wouldn't have known it. She used leverage to really get into the areas I had problems with and I left as a satisfied customer feeling much looser in my upper back. Definitely will be back and recommend! Things to consider: *For the price, you're not getting a fancy place. For some the sheet may be too small/not enough coverage. If that's something that is a concern for you I would recommend bringing a sheet of your own along for extra draping and/or asking for an additional sheet. It didn't bother me, but I saw that was a complaint below. *Walls and doors are thin. If you're going there for a muted experience where you only hear the music in the background, not a place for you. (I'm super easy and low maintenance so that wasn't bothersome for me, but I could see how that might bother someone else.) *They do not do an intake/waiver form like other fancier places do. If that's something that will bother you, I think that's a good thing to inform as well. They have an eastern medicine approach (not bothersome to me but maybe to others)

It is not a Burke's, woodhouse Day Spa or a hotel Spa. I've been there and prefer this place if you want a very good deep tissue massage. The room is not fancy, but it is clean and all the rooms have doors. I had Tina today and she did such a good job. I regularly get massages once a month. I am sad I don't live close by. She knew that my shoulders were knotted and spent a lot of time getting all the knots out. She knows her anatomy and often checked in to see if I was doing okay. She offered some herbal Chinese medicine, I think it is similar to biofreeze. I took the chance and glad I tried it. I feel like a new person.

MYRA LONG is the only person I trust to give me a sugaring brazilian. There is no other place in the world I would rather go for hair removal than Skin Impressions with Myra. Let's face it-- literally, no one enjoys looking down there, nor does anyone enjoy having some else look down there-- but she does it, and she does it right. If you are WAXING down there or SHAVING then STOP RIGHT NOW!!! Yo absolutely must be sugared by Myra. Sugaring is waxing's superlative. Sugaring does not BURN your skin like waxing does. Sugaring comes off clean and the pain is limited compared to waxing. My gyno even asked me if I was getting laser treatment down there because it looked so CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL. Every woman should be treated sweetly with Myra's gentle sugaring process. Oh and another thing, sugaring is QUICK-- and Myra is done in 15 minutes. No joke. The quality of service is wonderful. When you go in for an appointment, you are treated so well. Myra is very down to earth and very honest about all of her services. She will answer all your questions and treat you like an old friend. She never makes you feel uncomfortable or weird. You should never be embarrassed or concerned about anything-- she's seen it all. Along with the sugaring brazilians I also get my under arms sugared and my eye brows. Myra really takes her time too in all of her services. She will never rush you or make you feel less important than any other client. Myra has become one of my favorite people. She talks to you-- if you like talking during the services-- about everything. The conversations seem to make the services go faster and you focus less on the hair removal. I want to try her air brush tanning, facials, and massage services too-- but my beauty budget is limited for now. Myra is a young, beautiful woman, who treats her skin and body with the same services she provides. Thus making her true to her profession. She will offer you products to try to help your skin's problem areas. She will NEVER force you to BUY anything. She will recommend a product and then give you a sample to try it out. If you love it, then you can buy it. If you don't, then don't worry about being pressured to purchase it. Bottom line, Skin Impressions with Myra Long is the ONLY place to go for hair removal and any other holistic service. I was referred by a friend, and I will never go back to my old place. please do not go to this salon. i had a very bad experience there! the owner was very unprofessional and made me feel very uncomftorble. i have been there a few times and everytime she has made me feel like i wasnt good enough to be there, no one care to notice me, they didnt ask if i wanted anything to drink or who i was there to see i felt as if i was bothering them when i was the client, i was there to have a nice spa day and they just made the experience horrible .. the owner and the people that work there are very snotty, all they were doing was gossiping i felt very out of place! im suprised they are still in business or have even been in business this long! while waiting to see her i over herd myra (the owner) and an employee making snotty remarks and gossipng about me and the way i look. pease do not waste your time or money going here, there are plenty of other really nice salon and spa's out there! i wasnt very impressed with the service or atmosphere at all! im still very upset about the situation, you should never talk about one of your clients when they are sitting right there... myra long is a bad person and a joke.. skin impressions will suffer because of her bad descisions! read more

Let me start by saying Myra is AMAZING!!!!! My daughter is 15 and experiencing some very bad acne. Her doctor had her on Retin-A, antibiotics and wanted to start Accutane as she was still having a lot of acne coupled now with extreme drying. I decided to try something different and found Myra on the web. We have now been going to Myra for about 6 weeks and the difference is dramatic!! My daughter's skin is really showing marked improvement. I also love that everything is all natural. If you or someone you know is having problems with their skin, Myra is the way to go. She is not only amazing at what she does, she is sooooo personable. She really gets to know you and makes you feel like a close friend. My daughter was a bit worried, and somewhat embarrassed, but Myra has such a soothing manner, you feel completely relaxed and at ease. I have known Myra both professionally and as a friend. We worked together in a Medical Spa, I as the nurse and she as the aesthetician. I respect her work tremendously. When my teenage daughter started having problems with acne and becoming very conscious of her skin problems. She made Katie feel very comfortable even though having facial treatments can at times be uncomfortable for a teenager. Myra has worked with her over the couple of years and has made a big difference in her skin. Despite fighting teenage hormones and acne my daughter's skin is now manageable with a home regimen to go along with the treatments. On another note Myra is an expert in 'sugaring' and has maintained both mine and both of my daughters' eyebrows, taking great care in how they look and to ensure that they look exactly how we want them. Myra Long of Skin Impressions is the most knowledgable skin care professional I have ever encountered (and I have seen dermatologists and estheticians for 20 years)! Her expertise in treating acne and aging skin simultaneously is remarkable. I have used accutane, retin A, oral antibiotics and multiple topical antibiotics for acne with meager success. One peel and 2 weeks on Myra's recommended products cleared up what doctors couldn't clear in years! A side effect of acne treatments is dry, aged skin. This was my secondary concern, but was addressed immediately by Myra. Somehow, over my first few months of treatments, my skin became clear AND youthful. Amazing!! I have continued to see Myra for maintenance, and I could not be happier. She has saved me thousands of dollars on Dr visits and prescriptions and has given me skin to envy. Thank you, Myra. I value her skills and her ability to make you feel totally comfortable while your standing in front of her completely naked while getting the best spray tan ever!! My good friend recommended me to Myra about 5 years ago for sugar waxing. Even though at the time she was about a 25minute drive from me I went and have been going back every three weeks since then. Even when I worked in a salon that had an esthetician 10ft away from me I still went to Myra. I own a hair salon now and would be extremely confident and comfortable to have Myra or any member of her staff come work with me. I have been in this industry since 1987 and just because people have a license issued by the state to them doesn't mean they know what they are doing or how to be professional. Seems as though Myra has been getting a bit of a bum rap lately. You know it takes two to tango. The posting commenting about her husband (me.l) seems like something you should be taking up with your husband and in the therapists office, not making this a professional issue. The two are very separate. You need to ask your self and your husband why he is straying. It's very irresponsible to blame another for your private marital issues. Keep Myra's professionalism out of it. I've known Myra for years and would follow her anywhere. I also know for a fact that she doesn't have a history of chasing after married men or for that matter men period. She has had a very long term marriage that was surfacing up issues of their own, as of late. Look inward and ask yourself what I need to do to make my marriage better. read more

My esthetician, Lauren, was super friendly and talked through each treatment and what to expect. She also gave me some helpful recommendations without making it feel salesy at all, which I really appreciated. I left with my skin looking noticeably better -- a lot of the blotchiness was gone, and my skin looked even and glowy. Even today I still look great and my face feels well hydrated. I felt like they balanced both the results of an effective facial and the spa experience really well. Also, shoutout to the receptionist who kindly gave me a little extra time to move my car so I could use their parking validation and avoid paying. It was much appreciated!! This establishment is very professional, calming, and affordable. They offer a $90 monthly membership, which includes one 60 minute facial and lots of discounts. Pam was the esthetician that gave me a facial. Absolutely love her! She has the most calming voice, talked me through the entire facial process, tailored a facial to meet my skin care needs, and sent me home with a card giving my instructions on what to do in the AM and PM in regard to my skin care routine. Already looking forward to my next appointment! I walked out feeling AMAZING, and you will too if you choose to get a facial from Skin Habit!
