I have used this UPS store couple times and I think it is fine. I have pretty basic mailng and copying needs though. One time, I needed to reduce a 20" X 24" document into an 8" X 11" and the girl there was very patient with me. She tried to use the regular coping machine, but the document was too big. Then she tried their scanner, and that worked fine. While I was waiting though, I overheard some crazy elitist people at this location. One woman was really angry because UPS Store did not accept FedEx drop-offs. Wake up call: This is a UPS Store. 1 star off: The employees can smile more. It is Christmas! read more

Came in for Domestic Partnership papers to be filed with the state, I was nervous & shy because it was something personal and I wasnt sure if they would be willing to do it. Is it my imagination or do they charge an arm a leg and another arm and your head to ship things? I've only used the UPS Store a handful of times to ship random things around the country. And each time I swear the shipping charges are more than double than what I am actually shipping. Over decent service, nothing was ever lost and the people are friendly. The pandemic must have hit this UPS store hard because the owner/manager is resorting to what can only be considered extortion, for printing services. There is now a fee to "rent" the computer if a customer wants to print documents from their USB stick. Alternatively, there's an "email access" charge if one does not have a USB. So, rather than the 25c it costs to print a single B/W page, they charge $3.25 instead! No other UPS or FedEx Store in San Mateo, Redwood City, and as far south as Mountain View charge for "computer rental". For shame! read more

I've been going to this UPS store for about a year - I make shipments on items I sell online. The staff is quick to move the line, and will not hesitate to work with me on choosing the right method of shipping with my budget and needs in mind. The manager, Shruti, has also been a great help on a recent shipment that proved to be difficult for me to package. I highly recommend this store. This is partly about UPS being completely unreliable with their deliveries, but also partly about challenges with the the staff when I asked them for help on an urgent issue. Update: Shruti, the manager, went above and beyond to help me recover the package and find some resolution. I have used this store for several years now and have generally been pleased, but the level of customer service has slipped, and this last experience was a real challenge because of UPS failures. A package scheduled for 3-day delivery got horribly misrouted and now being told it will arrive on day 10, missing the person it was going to. I spent 3 days trying to figure out how to expedite delivery or reroute to someone who can receive it. Once I was told I would get a callback that never came; the second time I was told to call the UPS line who then told me I had to go back to the store. The combination of UPS delivery failures and UPS's own lack of accountability to their stores unfortunately means this is no longer a reliable shipping option for me and need to use other shippers. I've been coming here for a very long time. It's conveniently located from where I live. The times I have been at this location, there is parking in the front of the store and a parking lot across the street. I use a variety of their services from shipping, copying/printing, notary, and purchasing supplies. Several of the UPS customer services that I have encountered provided great customer service. They are efficient and helpful. One of the staff members Ledy, helped me with shipping a package. She was knowledgeable and friendly. This is such a great local establishment and one of the best UPS stores I've been to. The location is great, they have everything you need in terms of services (notary, passport photos, printing, faxing, computer usage, mail box services with a street address, invitations, etc), and the staff are truly wonderful. Shruti and Team go the extra mile to make sure you're taken care of and feel welcome. They know the regulars by name and they're always smiling- which shows that they enjoy working there as well! I opened a UPS mailbox (with a real street address I might add), while I was moving and have kept it open because I love the convenience of knowing all my packages are safe.
