I'm leaving a very well deserved FIVE STAR review for this Chino Hills UPS store. Earlier this morning the entire Staff was so courteous while helping put my mind at ease returning an important package to a cable provider and Verizon Wireless. I had no idea what I was doing but they took the time to explain the process and every one of them on a combined team effort had me in & out within 10 minutes. I have to add the store was extremely clean and the parking here is plenty Thank you once again for the courtesy while making me feel like a VIP and doing a great job with my packages. I really don't understand a few of the not so favorable reviews here, give respect & you will get respect in return that's how I was brought up. I was warmly greeted the second I came into the store. Unfortunately Kim the store manager will not release packages to you unless you pay more money to open up a official mail box with them. It's his story policy and not official ups policy. If you don't comply he will send the package back to the shipper and leave you stranded. He also will not accept a tracking number or valid form of ID as a way to release your package. He also will ask you for additional money under the table if you want your packages. Consider using any other address as your UPS pick up point. There was also a time when I first moved here when I sent a high $ item and it was delivered and he would not give it to me despite all efforts. It then went "missing" the very next hour. I came here to drop off an Amazon return using a QR code, and the experience was extremely disappointing. I was told I had to put my item in a separate box because they wouldn't accept it in the original product box -- even though Amazon shipped it to me that way. This was news to me since every other UPS Store has taken my returns without requiring an additional box. When I said I could purchase one, the employee told me to grab a plastic bag/envelope. At checkout, the charge was almost $5 for a plastic bag. When I asked if that price was correct, he just nodded. I also asked if he was the owner, and he said his family owns the store. This feels like a clear rip-off and completely unacceptable. I will also be contacting UPS corporate to report this issue. This place is a joke. Used to be quick in and out. Now, everytime it's one employee, a line out the door and absolutely no sense of urgency. The one down by Costco now has an Amazon package scan station for drop offs, go there instead. There is also never any parking here and the spots for UPS only are always taken by people at Starbucks or the other restaurants. Pretty Ridiculous! This location has been staffed with one person for the past few weeks. The Peak of the shipping season!? I would not recommend renting a box here or coming to this location for any services. Parking is horrible and there is always a long line to retrieve your packages. I just waited in line for 30 minutes to be told to come back after 2:30 to get a PO box. It is after 2:30! Worst customer service ever!

The staff that were there this morning were not friendly at all. Didn't greet, smile, or asked what I needed help with when I walked in. I had to be the one telling them what I needed. When I told them I wanted to do an Amazon return, they looked at each other (probably debating who should be the one to do it). The gentleman especially, younger with glasses and long hair that was tied back was the one that seemed to not want to be there. If you're going to work in a service industry, please show it. Took two cameras from Amazon to return Wed. big mistake usually return at Kohls one employee being rude to the lady in front of me about where she was shipping after she gave a label with shipping address. Next up he started in on me for not having the cameras in a separate box when they were in the box that was shipped to me. I didn't have any more time to deal with him so took them back home put them in a different box printed two new labels and when I got back later that day he was still being an ASS and I had to force him to ship them. Probably the worst customer service I have ever received. I had the option of having my package delivered here by the company I bought my product from. I noticed that it wasn't arriving as stated so I called to talk to the store. They informed me that typically they do not accept packages from people that do not have a mailbox there but would make an exception for me at 1.00 a day. He took my name down. Today I arrived to collect my package after receiving a notice that it had arrived and Lupe took a lot of pride in telling me that "she personally was the one to send it back". It was like I did something wrong, when I followed the exact directions of her co-worker. Beware. So, now I am out a package that I have confirmation was delivered to their location, and I probably was treated the worst I have ever been treated in a retail location as a patron. read more

The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Chino Hills, California

This location will cheat you out of money. It is annoying when Amazon send you a package in its original box and then says that you have to customer pack it to return. This location tried to tell me that I had to pack my very large return in another box even though it did jot arrive with one. I could use my own box, have them pack it for a charge, or come back with it wrapped it in a black garbage bag. The older woman also told me that she could only help me with one swipe of the packing tape. She would have to charge me for additional swipes of tape. I called the UPS store on Los Serranos and they informed me that I do NOT have to pack my items in a box if my package was shipped in the original box. My mailing address sticker just needed to be on the package as proof. I just dropped off my packages at the UPS Los Serranos with no additional packing or charges necessary. I will never visit this location again. read more

This location by far is the best UPS store I've done business with. The employees greet you with a hello and a smile. Always willing to assist you with anything. Attempted to return a product with Amazon that was in the original packaging that they gave This was the first time ever I've been refused, even though Amazon clarity states that I did not need to put it in any other box. They stole my mail multiple times and have stolen my keys. They also allowed other people to use my box for their businesses and mail and last year charged me over $350 for the year and this year wants to talk about charging more due to my volume of usage when o hardly use it. Their "people" do. They don't listen and have stolen credit and debit cards and not returned packages to stores which means no return money. DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL. Lastly the employees, every single one is rude and inappropriate and it's not safe at night there picking up mail after hours due to random people trying to get in without a key and trying to convince you to let them in including people posing as Amazon delivery workers and it's after hours! Very poor service! I called this store to get my documents notarized. I was informed that one of the employee will be able to sign as witness and will be leaving in 15 minutes. I reached there in 15 minutes and employee left. My document was notarized and I was charged for witness. Despite paying, I was asked to wait until the employee comes back. After waiting for 10 minutes, I asked clerk to refund all the money as I could not wait. I even returned the notarized copy with them. Clerk was very upset for refund. I went to another UPS and the did a free of charge witness. I will never go to this store. read more

Then I was told they do not have boxes because they were downsizing through attrition. This UPS store engages in fraudulent practices. They make you put the original Amazon box into another box or wrap it over with paper because they claim it's an Amazon policy. This is not an amazon policy. They are ouright lying and misrepresenting a policy to over sell and make extra money from their boxes and wrapping. The way this UPS store is also attempts to cheat customers for an extra buck, is laughable. They wanted to charge extra for using about 12 inches of their tape. The only problem is they can't. It's not an something they can ring up. Throughout the entire transaction, the lady had a very negative attitude over this 12 inches of tape. She is a heavy set older lady that speaks very poor english. I also observed them taping up another customer package and indeed she used tape very sparingly. It was up to the point thay the packaging barely looked secure. Their lack of integrity, dishonesty, and pettiness is an embarrassment to the UPS brand. *Edit - the business manager reply is a shameless acknowledgement of their dishonesty, selfishness, and utter lack of respect for the customer experience. This review is for Amazon returns! I try to avoid this place for Amazon returns but sometimes it's my only option. I've had a consistently frustrating experience at this UPS Store with my Amazon returns. They are often late opening but I can deal with waiting around 15 minutes or so for them to get their day started. The worst part is the unreasonable demands. I once forgot to print a label, fine I get that too! But now they are asking me to repackage my products in a third box because two boxes (the original box and a brown Amazon box that it came in) aren't sufficient. The lady insisted I use an even bigger box or brown paper with tape all over. I literally took it in the way it was shipped to me and it was very secure. Why would I need to purchase an additional box to ship it back? I do Amazon returns at other places all the time and have never experienced this level of inconvenience elsewhere. If you have an Amazon return, I suggest you take it to a different UPS Store. They have a scam going here where the employees will tell you that the Amazon product you're returning needs to be repacked in a different box than the box that manufacturers shipped it in, to "prevent damage" when it is shipped back to Amazon. Who wants to be bothered to find a bigger box and stuffing materials, but they conveniently have the bigger box and packing material, for a fee, of course. They have an older Hispanic employee who can barely speak English try to convince you in her crappy condescending tone that Amazon will not take the return unless it's repacked. These fools are trying to get Amazon customers to believe that the returns will be rejected by Amazon. I get it; this business owner make pennies on Amazon returns, and is trying to make a few extra bucks to cover his overhead. But to insult our intelligence by telling us the returns will not be accepted unless repacked is literally scummy. Besides him, this store is horrible with long lines and a poor parking situation. Discretionary Work Ethics? Perhaps Went in this business just to get (2) QR codes printed out. Standard paper. The cost for 2 was I believe a bit over 1 usd. From what other employees mentioned it is a very simple task. Not this Discretionary Employee. The employee went to print out the (2) QR codes... got on the phone. Took about 10 minutes. The employee was at the computer working on this task i requested when the employee Came back to me and said I CANNOT DO THIS ONE! I asked why 4 times. She just said she cannot do it. What a slug The QR code is from my smoothies business. Once the employee sat at the computer she called someone and spoke very low. She ended up talking to someone on the phone and acted real weird. 10 minutes for(2) QR codes. Never had this problem here with ANY OTHER employee. It's a busy productive store. Boss man usually meets the needs of the customer. When products and services are not being sold and offered because of this particular Discretionary employee... It tends to make the business look bad. Horrible customer service by the little old blond employee. This older woman is the only 1 who is always disgruntled. Her smell is overwhelming. Very unprofessional. All I wanted to do is discuss with the supervisor this incident. Boss man when you run such a business with big numbers.... You have to be able to speak to your customers as a leader. No matter how you perceive the levels of frustration they're dealing with. The conduct of the older employee suggests that the 3.5 rating is overrated. Acknowledge and Be careful with the discretionary employee. I have been coming here off and on for all my UPS needs along with the rare amazon returns for the past 2 years as its only a mile from my house. I arrived the day after thanksgiving to drop off an amazon return which had the amazon label on it (baby bath tub) and came to me without a box. This elderly hispanic lady, first played as if she was busy, so the young lady was the only one helping customers. She didn't even bother to help her co worker move 4 heavy boxes a customer brought in even after the co worker told her they were really heavy. She just pretended she was busy with some labels. Ok sure no problem none of my business other than to say she obviously didnt want to be workint there. Then finally after 10 minutes of being only second person in line, she decides to help me. I give her the package along with the sticker and she says I need to bring it in the box that it came in. I told her its brand new never touched and the packaging paperwork was stickered onto the tub itself because it was sent to me without a box. She continues to moan and complain to me about amazon politics and how she can't take it unless I purchase a box. At that point I simply stater, "If you don't want to help me just say so, no need to make excuses." And I left. I drove 2 more miles to the UPS location on peyton near costco, went in with the package exactly the same and guess what? The young man says... "Typically we are supposed to not accept packages anymore without boxes but I see this one has the packaging papers stuck on there so they must have sent it without a box?" I replied in the affirmative and just like that he says, "Not a problem, I'll sticker it over their old sticker." That easy it was to do when you actually want to do something at work other than come in to collect a check. Lost my business and anyone else I know I will be sure to tell them to take their business to the UPS by costco if they want proper customer service. read more

They gave me some BS explanation that I need to call them first to ask permission for my package. They even raised their voice at me, the female employee and the manager. They said that I can't just send my package to my neighbor without asking my neighbors permission. The vendor that I use will not use their address if they didn't apply for the ADL program. That's how incompetent these people are. They will lecture me without checking their books first. Guess what they did. They return it to sender. Their reason? The shipping instructions clearly state, "Boxes should be packed and sealed before dropping off at The UPS Store location...." It doesn't state anything about buying a new box at UPS. And yet, the older woman twice has says she cannot ship it the way I bring it in. So, I went to The UPS store by Costco and no problem. I swing by the UPS to ship packages a few times a month. The hours are listed as opening at 8am but nobody shows up to open the store until around 8:10 or so. They happens almost every single day, leaving me waiting 10 to 15 minutes while they boot up computers and turn all the lights on. If you're a punctual person, find an alternative store. read more

I was returning a package to Amazon that was delivered by UPS. The package was unopened and in its original packaging. The owner of this UPS store tried telling me some crock about how Amazon and/or UPS are no longer accepting returns in their original packaging if the item is identified on the box. He said it was a new law as of 1/1/24 and that his store would repackage my item but for a fee. I left and went to the UPS store on Central Ave not only did they take my item, they had several other returns in their original packaging identifying the contents of the package. The owner lied to me in order to try to make a buck and sell me his packaging material's and wasted my time. Who knows how many others he's telling this bs to in order to sell his materials. read more

My review is for my most recent UNPLEASANT encounter with a woman with colored hair. I typically come here in the morning before work whenever I have an Amazon return. Not one did I have an issue ever. I was in and out in a very fast time frame and never once encountered anyone rude or any weird rules when it came to amazon returns. My most recent visit was after work around 6ish at night and I was next in line. Got my phone out with my code for amazon to scan so I could make my return. I was next in line and was met with the most awful person I've ever encountered. She had colored hair and was the rudest person. She scans my Amazon code and immediately says they cannot take my return. Because it was a body wash she says that I would need to bring my own box because they couldn't take it. Amazon always says on the code if I need to bring my own packaging and it never did so I was taken aback. The girl was beyond hateful and embarrassing with the way she spoke to me and I'm sure others. If I ever do encounter her again and she has the same attitude I will most definitely be contacting management or corporate. Beware when visiting this location that they have A LOT of rules that not all UPS locations have and they mostly have to do with amazon returns. I ended up returning my item at my usual place in Rialto with no issues at all. read more

Caution on this store, super strict on their policies but charged me for international shipping and package never got to its destination. Then tried to charge me for their error. Pending refund on my card, such a hassle and not ready to refund me until I complained multiple times. +$500 in refund they were willing to keep based on their error. Try another UPS - UPDATED I see they responded below with multiple email options to sort this out but that's all they wanted to do to me when I tried to ship a box, they would avoid giving me any number for a district/owner to speak to them about my package. I stand with my review, in general the store manager is difficult. When he issued me a refund, he first made me come back when he was working hours later and when I did come back he didn't even apologize for the error or explain what happened, he also tried to take my receipt, stating "I will keep this" to which I advised him he has his own copies, it was my receipt.
