The photo not meeting the head shot requirement was the issue here. Costco literally folded over the passport application head shot example and then placed the folded over head shot to prove they did it right. I'm not taking more time to go back to UPS. Their incompetency cost my family over 15 hours of time on a Saturday!! After waiting for two hours at Sac State for the passport application process, my daughter's passport photo was rejected no thanks to this UPS location! So this meant that we had to retake a passport photo and the start over by going to the Citrus Heights Post Office. I waited in line from 8 AM until 10:30 AM just so that we could put our name on a list to come back and complete the process hours later. Me: 2.5 hours waiting in line for the post office to open (already 20 people in front of me when I arrived) Wife and daughter: End to end to get through the application process was 5 hours each equaling 10 hours of their combined time. We can't forget the gas and time it took to drive their and back. This UPS location will cost you HOURS of your time. Go to Costco for the photo instead. I will never step foot in this UPS store again. read more

Lost my parents Christmas presents and had the audacity to tell me I never brought the package in to be shipped. It was set on the back counter to be boxed and the clerk forget to ring it with the other two items being shipped. The girl helping me was sweet and friendly but thee whole place was overwhelmed and rushed by Christmas. After my parents never got their package, I checked my tracking receipt and realized I only had the two for my sisters and none for my parents and called the store. I was told I'd get a call from a manager once they were able to check lost and found and review security cameras. It's January 20 I've called 4x and I still haven't gotten a call about something shipped in mid December. The feedback I got when I called today was that I never brought a package in. I was a surprised to have it suggested that I'm crazy or lying and my parents still have no Christmas. Thanks UPS......be sure you carefully check your tracking and receipt especially if they are going to box for you. I very much regret allowing myself to feel rushed out and not insisting on item being boxed in my presence. I hope who's ever got my parents Christmas was blessed by it. read more

She was so disrespectful to the gentleman she was working with in front of a line full of people and so rude to the customers she was helping. She talks to people as if they're all idiots. I sent a present to Virginia and spent an amazing amount for shipping. There was no one else in the store and two employees were present, but both gentlemen seemed distracted. I asked if they could include a card in the package; I was told "Yes," so I purchased and wrote a card. I was assured the card would be included, but the gift was received without the card and the recipients had already thanked another person who they assumed had shipped it. If I had known such a simple request would be disregarded, I would have informed my friends to expect the package and saved a number of people some embarrassment. read more

We have been using this store since shortly after it opened...20 years ago? In those two decades, we have received the BEST service possible. The managers, the owner and all their prompt service agents have always greeted us with smiles and very efficient service. They carefully follow-up on packages to make sure the delivery date they promised is the real delivery date. They even send you a check if the delivery date is later than that promised. My friend who was loyal to (but unhappy with) her UPS store across town tried this one, and she is thrilled with the new service. Longest wait of my life just to fax something. There was a customer one the workers were helping and it was definitely going to take longer than normal he should have just hold that conversation about editing the photobook to help his co worker that was taking care of the long line of customers that were waiting inline just to do as little as dropping a package off. After an hour I was finally being help and I finally got my papers notorized and faxed in less than 10 minutes. It was rediculous. I feel sorry for the girl that was left hanging there trying to take care of all the customers while the gentlemen was discussing pictures and edits in a book. read more

Great UPS store! I've been there a few times now and they have great customer service. They also have some cute items they sell in their store. Some UPS store sell sort of "chintzy" items that you'd find in a child's party favor bag. Not in this UPS store...I love their assortment of greeting cards, etc. But most importantly, this store knows good customer service and they seem to enjoy working there. I recently went to this UPS store mid September. Desperate to have my needs attended to, I went in to check if they could accommodate me. Evelyn, who I was referred to immediately attended to my needs and left what she was doing to cater to me. Long story short, she sat down with me, an hour!!! To make the wedding program I was tasked to do the last minute! Evelyn was the angel sent to me that day. I've always had great service from Jeff and his staff. While that often does not prompt me to write a review of businesses, recently I shipped a couple of things through Jeff to some teammates in my organization that had an issue. One of my packages arrived later than the expected date. Not later than the date I needed, just later than UPS' expected arrival. Jeff was notified of that and proactively worked to get a refund for me. I hadn't even thought about till I opened my mail today and had received a check from UPS for my inconvenience. That's pretty amazing service on the part of Jeff's team. An equally great response from UPS corporate to cut my check. It was worth mentioning. Thank you Jeff and team for your efforts! This UPS Store located at 2795 E. Bidwell St. misplaced a piece of business mail of mine which was a refund check from a vendor. After spending time and money on attorney fee's pursuing the vendor in smal claims court for nonpayment, the UPS Store on 2795 E. Bidwell St. located the mail on their desk and gave it to me. This error caused a lot of time and money, grief between my company and the vendor. Jeff of this UPS store acted as if nothing happened. FRUSTRATING! read more

Now here is a business that stands behind it's services. Today I received a check in the mail refunding the full cost of a package I sent from their store. When I tracked my package on line, I saw that it arrived one day later than the store said it would because of the extreme weather during the hurricanes. The package wasn't urgent, the delay was understandable and I thought no more about it until the refund came today. The letter from the UPS Store accompanying the check said they track packages to make sure they arrive in a timely manner and even if a package arrives only one day late, they work with UPS to provide a full refund. I have been to this UPS store 3 times and each and every time, the owner, Jeff, has been very rude and not helpful. I have had several large packages on each occasion (some over 50 pounds). He has not volunteered to help put these packages on the scale. I had to ask him to do that and he seemed to be put out to help. I will never go to this location ever again. Best UPS Store by far. Very customer orientated. They go out of there way to get the job done even if its not there job to do! Have to write a review however... Came into the store Sat. 7-18-2015 for just a quick drop-off pre-paid package. The gentleman at the counter got me a receipt quickly and efficiently while he was waiting for his system to upload to ship another customers package. When I proceeded to leave I over heard the gentleman getting yelled at quite inappropriately by the currently waiting customer. The treatment was very uncalled for and made another 2 customers leave but the employee at the counter handled it very well. He apologized and offered many solutions to fix the problem. This was just a customer that would rather yell then get anything corrected. I have to say Good Job! to that employee for dealing with such an uneccesary situation. read more
