As a customer of over 10 years, we are very dissatisfied at the way we've been treated at the Highland location the past three months. We have a personal box that we renew on a quarterly basis and normally get a courtesy letter to inform us that we are up for renewal, sometimes placed in our box late, but were always willing to reverse our late charge. Kudos to the professionalism with employees in the past. This isn't the complaint. They recently hired a new employee, Jordan. In April, we got our notice as usual, and it was placed in our box late. No big deal, I'll go pay it and have the late fee reversed. I politely explained to Jordan that this has happened in the past, and if would please reverse the fee. He wasn't having it. Immediately puffed up and attitude kicked in and said call the manager if I had any issues. It wasn't his wording, more so lack of any disregard to his customers, like I was wasting his time. I was obviously irritated with him so I said I will call the manager (Heidi) and tell him what a poor attitude he has with his customers. He smirked at me and said "whatever". As we were leaving he made it a point to laugh and wave at us at the front door as we were walking to our truck. I called Heidi the next day and she politely listened to my complaint and told me that she would talk with Jordan and get back to me as to reversing the fee. I was never contacted again and fee never reversed. I decided to drop it as times are tough on all of us at the moment and felt like maybe it was a one time incident. Fast forward to yesterday afternoon: We had a FedEx package delivered that afternoon at 12:29 PM signed by Kkylie. There was no card in our box when we got there so we thought maybe they hadn't sorted yesterday's mail out even though it was about 5:20 in the afternoon now. As we were waiting in line, we saw him get snippy with an older black woman who seemed to be a bit confused. We got up to the counter and explained the situation to him. He asked if we had a tracking number (which I would have to call a friend to get) and we replied no. He asked for our mail box number which we gladly gave him and he quickly rummaged through a few packages and came back and said without a tracking he wouldn't be able to get it. So we get out of line as we retrieve the number, no big deal. As we were once again waiting (which all their employees would have called us next as we had already waited) Jordan took it upon himself to help the person behind us next. Now we were really getting irritated. Okay now it was finally our turn again. Once again he was going to pull a woman behind us up next who was there for notary. We quickly jumped to the counter as we weren't going to be disrespected again. Gave Jordan the tracking number and once again looked through a few packaged and told us it wasn't there and that it was probably left on the truck. How was it on the truck when it had been signed for? He obviously didn't look very hard for it as we must have been once again wasting his time. His response was "call the manager tomorrow." Had enough and left. Well we called today and were told the package had been delivered yesterday like FedEx said it was. He just didn't care. I've seen several other negative reviews specifically pointing out Jordans poor attitude with customers. How can Heidi keep an employee with so many complaints? This UPS store is in my neighborhood. The staff is friendly and efficient. I was there today to have a letter faxed. During the last Christmas season, the store was inundated with undelivered packages. I was irritated when UPS would decide not to deliver to my house, but instead deliver to this local UPS store. I'd walk in to see the staff literally surrounded by packages. They would do their best to try to dig out just delivered packages while customers waited. As sometimes happens, some customers were irritated and took their frustration out on the staff. The staff would respond politely and try to help the annoyed customer. It's not their fault UPS drivers would decide to deliver to the store instead of a private home. I'm sure corporate way understaffed the number of necessary drivers. Good service begins at the top. They gave me the wrong information about a return and then when I asked if they could print me label, they wanted to charge me $3 for me to use their computer. Went in to buy one stamp for a letter. What a surprise when the employee told me owed $.68 for a $.49 stamp. Asked her why the letter was so much and told me they have a service charge. For a stamp!! So if they increase a stamp by 40% what do they do for a real package. Find another place to send a package since has to be less than 40% markup read more

After collecting several hundred pounds of very old documents when cleaning out my attic, I searched for a local business to shread the sensitive documents. I searched on line and found the UPS store on Boulder Ave. in Highland, CA as a good, close location. I found a $5.00 off the first 5 lbs. coupon and a rate of $1.00/lb. for shredding on the shrednations.com web site. Getting the store to honor the coupon was a chore and the surprise price of $1.59/lb an even bigger surprise! I was told to "take my shredding to the Redlands UPS store" if I wanted the $1.00/lb price after all of my boxes were weighed. Alia was the most unhelpful clerk at the store, she had few answers about why the accurate price for shredding services is not published. I cannot recommend this store low enough. I will never send anyone to that location for shredding of documents or shipping packages. This is certainly a business to avoid! read more

The employee Amber is very nice and attentive to the customers needs, not to mention her friendly smile and humor I can't say that for the other female employee. Also, Amber's the only one there that does Notaries- so make sure she's there if you need notary services. read more

I go in at least twice a week. The girls that work there are sweet and always treat me well. Some of the bad reviews may be from those that had a bad experience one time from one trip. Although this store is convenient, the staff is unhelpful and unfriendly. Even though I have had a mailbox at the store for years, the staff has never made me feel like a valued customer, and often times are downright rude and unhelpful. If our business address was not attached to this location for so long, we would have stopped doing business with them a long time ago. Wow rudest experinence I have ever had. Tried to return my att modem. Was told in a email that I just need to bring it in to ups store and it would be scanned and packed up for me. I just HAVE to write a review for the nice ladies that were working today! Plus, I've noticed no one has acknowledged that they do fingerprints..which is what I had to come in to do. When I called on phone, they answered right away and were friendly..same with in the store. Heidi helped me with my fingerprints, she gave great instructions, was like my little cheer leader (which sometimes you need cause they aren't the easiest thing doing fingerprints from an ink pad lol) and again fast and friendly. Seemed like other customers who were there for various things were also being acknowledged and taken care of well from what I could see. I come here quite a bit, I ship multiple packages during the week and this location is just convenient cause it's right by the grocery store, I went in yesterday with nine packages and two children, naturally juggling every single thing, I want to walk in to any business and experience a seamless transaction with no issues no rude comments towards me or my family. You having multiple items that are sitting on the ground or are in hands reach of small children, you cannot expect them not to touch, so instead of telling me as a paying customer that you don't have time to pick up after my children because you have your rep coming in maybe you should troubleshoot the situation and move the cards off the ground, Maybe you should also realize that your job is not just to sit behind the counter but to keep things organized along with making sure that if someone does bring their children in that they still have the same type of respect as anybody else ,just know that I will not be coming in here ever again I will take my packages elsewhere I will also take my children elsewhere where I will not be badgered or rudely abused by any customer service reps at this location, your job is not just to sit behind the counter that the one card you had to pick up after my children, now I have made this review, so rude and unprofessional women in the glasses be sure to keep things organized along with making sure that if someone does bring their children that they still have the same type of respect as anybody else. This store completely sucks, my girlfriend spent a month and a half crocheting a blanket for her father and then sent it to Nebraska via this UPS store and it turns out they never sent the package and would not give a explanation either, also the manager/owner hung up on her 3 times when she tried to get answers....UPS should investigate this horrible store and remove their name from this rip off company. read more

I have been doing business with this Ups store for around 11 years. Chip, Heidi, and Aloni are always helpful, and very friendly. I highly recommend this store. As for people that leave negative reviews such as Alex... I have no comment. Maybe he would change his tune if he tried doing their job... Aloni is Awesome!!! My visit seemed fine until I found out that my urgent overnight package wasn't delivered because the address was incorrect. The clerk behind the counter had interpreted an 'S' as a '5'. I didn't catch this until afterwards. The clerk taking my complaint by phone was rude, had difficulty getting my information correct (missed numbers and letters three times), and basically said it was all my fault for not catching their mistake. To be honest, I assumed that because this was UPS (have learned it is not) they were rigorously professional and merely glanced at my receipt at the time of receiving it. Of course the manager had left early for the day and would take two to three weeks to handle this matter. If I must ship freight in the future I will deal only with the actual UPS facility, otherwise for paperwork I will head for Federal Express. read more

I made the mistake of using this store to ship a small statue from my grandmother. When the box arrived at my house in MA the statue was shattered. I called the ups 1-800 number and they took my claim and said I would need to call the store because they would send their report to the store. I called the store to tell them about the damage and before I finished the associate said "well it's your fault you obviously didn't pack it right." I Asked to speak to the manager she was just as rude as the associate. None of them even cared my package showed up ruined. Never will use this store again. read more

I've been going here for the past few months since I'm on a swap meet style site selling all my old things (Shipping is paid for by them) so I have at least 15 boxes going out each week (Usually minimum of 5 on each trip). The ladies behind the counter have been super friendly and always take the time to talk to me, especially the older one. I've only ever seen them be friendly to each other, as well as the mail and ups drivers that come in. They've always asked me if I need a receipt, even though it takes longer, and even if there are a lot of people in line. I have never been in line longer than 5 minutes because they're pretty fast on getting things shipped out and answering questions. Yes the things in the store are overpriced, including the tape, but that is UPS not this specific Highland store, so there is no need to give them 1 star because of their item pricing. That's like giving Best Buy 1 star because the TV I wanted there was more than the TV at Walmart. They are not going to give away free tape to the 200+ customers they serve every day. I'm very happy with them and will continue to use them! read more

I was told by AT&T U-verse to return my T.V. equipment to any UPS Store. They explained they have a contract with UPS to package the equipment and mail it back to them. I assume the UPS Store makes a profit from AT&T for this service. I walked into the Highland UPS Store today at 9:00 a.m. to complete this task. There was one other customer in the store and the lady behind the counter acted exasperated and put off by even speaking to me. She said there is an hour and a half wait and took all of my information. She told me she would call me later with a tracking number and sent me on my way without even a receipt to show what equipment was being received by them. I get a call later by a different employee that sounding much younger, but had the same horrible attitude. She read the UPS tracking number to me so fast I only copied about half of the 17 characters and had to ask for her to repeat it. She took a heavy sigh and begrudgingly did so. I input the information she gave me and yep, you guessed it, it was wrong. I call this lovely customer service friendly employee back and she was just as rude as before. I asked if she could just run the receipt through her fax machine, so I can have a copy of the receipt. Remember, they were the ones backed up this morning, so they are going to inconvenience me to drive back down for a receipt. She said that she cannot fax it without charging me. No paper/ink/toner on their end, just a 30 second local call. Nope, she re-reads the tracking number and again the UPS tracking page said that it does not fit the protocol for UPS tracking numbers. Absolutely horrible customer service from this franchised UPS Store. AT&T needs to send their business elsewhere. read more
