I am very disappointed in this place. Returning a package to Amazon was a horrible experience. My printer wasnt working so I took my oversized return to them. I showed the lady at the counter on Saturday my email and she said I had to print it out. Tried to get internet connection no connection had to go to jack in the box and get internet then emailed to ups store like she ask. But when I got back to the store they told my granddaughter it would be 3$ for them to print the label. I was never told there was a fee. I am handicapped and retired so 3$ I didnt have. So took this oversized package back home. Got my printer working printed label struggle to get the amazon box back in my car went back to ups had no help to get the box in because I walk with a cane stood in line with other customers a youngman said it was my turn but he saw me struggling and was told by 2 customers i needed help but he didnt offer so a customer picked up the box then the youngman told me it would be $4 to tape the box. I was shocked i told him i cant afford that. He gave me my receipt and i told him to just ship it folded the way i had it. But another lady told me she didnt have to pay for her box to be tapped. Ever since they sold this store it is horrible. I called amazon and ups corporate. I was told Amazon pays the ups store so why are they charging Prime members for a piece of paper or tape. Stay away. They are not treating Amazon customers right. They r not a good representation of UPS and making Amazon look bad. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

updating my review. spoke w manager the day I wrote my review. it was kind of a freak sequence of events & they understood they were suppose to close the box. in any event, everything was made right. unfortunately my mail was sent back for that week & half. I did call 3 times, each time concluded that I must not have paid enough or that I was late too many times (I couldn't tell u if it was 2 or 3 times in 6months, idk) but that I needed to talk to the manager to learn more. that part was harder until I went into the store on a Wednesday, same conclusions but the employee let me know the manager would be in on Friday. so in on Friday, talked w manager and my box is back & communications updated. I'm hoping this doesn't cause difficulties w my mail & the senders. this was a really odd situation & likely won't happen again, to anyone. maybe they need better notes on account activity so issues can be pinpointed & resolved quickly w out losing mail but I don't have any other complaints. they've always been helpful & fast. never had another problem in almost 10yrs. like ever, not once. so 5 stars still seems appropriate read more

Absolutely the WORSE Place EVER! Zero Customer Service! I have seen advertisements that the UPS Stores will help you package items for shipping, that is BULL at the UPS Newport Road Store! I came in the store with 2 returns, the first one was an easy one, the 2nd all that was needed was palaspan and to tape the box and i said I would pay for the packaging. All I got was a stupid stare so I repeated it. This Employee says, oh we have stuff over there you can buy if you want it? I asked i don't have tape, do I need to buy it too? the reply was no if you buy something we will tape it for free. OK, I have taken stuff to other UPS Stores before and I have received satisfactory help where I would rated it 4 or 5 stars, so I know this should have been A LOT easier. In the future I will drive to Murrieta where the are more helpful! read more

From Mark Arvizu DO NOT USE UPS , THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR REFUND POLICY. Mailed a package overnight July 17, package did not arrive to destination till the evening of the 19th. Reported it to the store on the 18 requesting a refund. They either do not return phone calls or story continues to change. Stoping at the store to check on the refund now over 4 months later they continue to give false information and will not give requested email traffic between the store and UPS corporate. Now being told that the driver attempted to deliver the package on the due date however, the driver didn't feel comfortable leaving the package, lies. Parents were home waiting for package and also happen to have family that work at UPS who spoke with the driver that stated he couldn't complete his route on the 18th. I think the people who work here are generally nice, but when a very important document that needed to go to Westwood, CA went to Arizona, instead, I was disappointed (understatement). It took roughly 5 days for their error to be fixed, costing us $65 per day. We were reimbursed the $25 shipping fee, but of course UPS did not make good the rest of the $325 we had to pay because of their error. I'm afraid I won't darken their door again. read more

I have been going to this store for years. It is under new ownership as of recently. The young man who is generally there is very nice and helpful, however there is a young lady names Izabely who could really care less of what you need, want or anything. I think she may be bothered by having to do her job. I took cable boxes in to return, she couldn't find any info in order for me to return them. I then spent over an hour on the phone with AT&T to find all the details so then it was fool proof. I went into deposit a check, been doing for years with no issues. Once again this young lady seemed bothered....but wait my deposit hasn't made it into my bank which has NEVER happened. (deposit was 2 days ago, and they generally show up immediately) Tomorrow now I get to spend who knows how many more hours trying to figure out what happened to an over 2K deposit. In addition, one of my friends went in to have 20lbs of personal paperwork shredded. Izabely left this bag sitting right out front where anyone could have grabbed it, obtained all sorts of personal info etc. My friend sat in front of the store until it was actually shredded to make sure nothing happened to her info. Come on!!! I am only giving 3 stars because of past experiences and the helpful young man. Izabely gets 0 stars. Try smiling and being happy you have a job! read more

Always friendly and helpful service. I go there to buy stamps and mail packages and even buy little gift items! The only thing I'd add is when you are being waited on the phone has priority over you completing your transaction. Proper service is to ask the person on the phone if they can hold and finish up with the customer before answer many question the phone customer has while the physical customer must stand and wait until the call is completed. read more

I had to mail a package, I already had the label. I just needed packing tape to seal the box. The young lady informed me that they charge a dollar to tape the box. Now, I get that it's only a dollar, and I get that tape costs, but I have NEVER had a shipping center charge for taping the box shut. I will not be using this UPS store again. If you need your package to arrive on time, don't go here. I specifically drove past a FedEx office and a post office to make sure my package would be delivered on time. Because it was a gift for my granddaughter, I wanted to be certain it arrived the next day. Two days later, yup you guessed it, still not there. To add insult to injury, I also arranged for the package to "not" require a signature. If a package doesn't require a signature and no one answers the door, doesn't that mean the driver would leave it at the front door? Well, that didn't happen either. I just called this UPS Store to inquire about why this was not done and he made it sound like that's a UPS problem. Which begs the question, are you not UPS? This is a UPS Store, so why do you shift the blame to UPS? Wow! I guess the UPS Store assumes no responsibility for UPS. News flash, people! To the customer, your service should be transparent and seamless! When you call yourself a UPS Store, you are UPS! I won't be coming back here again...EVER! 7-5-17 So here's the latest...I filed a claim for a refund of what I paid, since my package was not delivered on time. I filed this claim on 6-26-17, I received a voice mail message that the refund was being processed. On July 3rd, I follow up on my claim by email. No acknowledgement by email, even though I requested a reply by email. So, I call on July 5th, to follow up AGAIN! This individual said she would call me back. I called back three hours after she said she would call me right back. I guess "right back," doesn't mean the same day. Now, I am being told that UPS has no record of the claim being filed. She added that UPS is supposed to call them back tomorrow. I am not holding my breath on receiving a phone call from The UPS Store. If I do, I will edit this review. My guess is that it will take another phone call from me to get any action. I also asked for a copy of the claim they filed with UPS. So far, I haven't received that either. 7-15-17 This review keeps getting worse. Here I am ten days later and still no refund from UPS or UPS Store. They are too busy laying blame on each other to step up and take care of the problem. Bottom line is this, if you are looking for anything that vaguely resembles customer service, you won't find it here. On time delivery? No. Return phone calls? No. Follow up? No. Customer Service? Absolutely not! The owner of this business needs to seriously consider whether or not he or she should be in this business. Customer service here is about as BAD as it gets! 7-18-17 Three days later, another phone call. This time I was told that the system was not available the last time they tried to follow up, no access to the "team portal," yada yada yada. This time, I asked to have my issue escalated to the owner. I noted that I was posting a negative yelp review, complete with updates every time I have to call. I was told that if my complaint was posted on yelp, that the owner was definitely aware of the problem. So, the owner is aware of the problem and still nothing is done? I am a pretty positive person and I have never considered writing a bad review on a business, but this UPS store has the WORST customer service. Three times I've been here and three times I've been disappointed. The first time the computers were down and the guy who was working was not at all helpful or apologetic about it. I don't expect that he could have worked magic and made the system come back up, but at least sound like you are sorry about the problem. The second time I went in I waited at least five minutes before one of the two girls in an empty store could help me. I was literally the ONLY person in there. They just sat talking about how one of them had just swallowed her tongue ring and didn't acknowledge me until I started to "cough" to get their attention. Ridiculous! Today, on my last trip there ever, I walked in the unlocked door at 8:20 am and the girl says rudely "we're not open yet". It says clearly they open at 8 so I asked that question and she said they don't open until 8:30 and she's still busy getting everything set up for the day and to come back. What? Who does that? Seriously, they need to consider hiring some more mature people. The economy is so bad right now and there are plenty of actual adults who desperately want to work. These little kids need to grow up and treat people right or go work somewhere they don't have to interact with customers. read more

NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS STORE. This is the WORST experience I've ever had with a big name corporation. Yes, this is a franchise store, but neither the owner of the store (Patty) nor corporate UPS did anything to right the mistake that was made. It all started on Saturday when I went to the store and paid $25 to send a package to my 9 year old daughter who was on the east coast. I was told it would arrive Monday. On Monday, I tried to track the package, but it was not even in the system yet. I called the store to find out what had happened and they told me it was due to arrive the NEXT Monday. Really? NINE day shipping for $25?? I then spent a LONG time on the phone with UPS customer service. They had a solution, but needed the UPS store to authorize an increased payment to expedite service. Unfortunately, the store manager was on vacation and the owner could not be bothered to help. The package was due to arrive in South Carolina 3 days AFTER my daughter's departure from a rented vacation property. The store tried to make me feel it was my mistake, but why would I ship something to arrive AFTER my daughter was gone???? My big mistake was thinking that the people at the store were competent at their jobs! I have since called that store requesting that the owner give me a call back. The people that work there have told me that the owner Patty has been into the store several time since this fiasco all started, but I have yet to get my calls returned. All in all the package that I spent $25 to send will never reach my daughter while she is on the east coast. She flew out on Saturday, the same day I sent the package, yet she will return home (after 12 days) well BEFORE the package will make it back to California. Also, I was visiting a friend in Menifee when I shipped the package. UPS in not able to return ship the package to me in Los Angeles. I will need to drive 1.5 hours back to Menifee to retrieve the package at its starting point....The UPS Store. To think I paid $25 to send a package on a nationwide trip, NEVER to reach its intended recipient AND waste hours on the phone with customer service is mind boggling. I want to ask for a refund, but Patty, the store owner WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS! The ineptitude of the staff along with the lack of ANY type of customer service by the owner is absolutely astounding. DO NOT USE THIS STORE TO SHIP ANYTHING! If anything goes wrong ...do NOT expect the owner to care AND do NOT expect corporate UPS to do anything about it!! WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!! Update: Finally received a call back from Patty...NINE days after this all started. She refuses to help in any way. She will not refund my money, nor will she help get my package to me at my home. According to her, I will need to retrieve the package at her store, which is 1.5 hours away from where I live. I have contacted the corporate offices that deal with the franchise stores. I finally have gotten some help. They will make sure the money I spent is refunded and they are checking on getting the package delivered directly to me. Further, Candice (corporate franchise customer service) will also work on getting some kind of complaint recorded about the store owners lack of help/empathy/customer service. If I could give this store a negative number, I would. I went to the shop to package an item. They wanted to charge me $196 with a AAA discount to package and ship the item. Normally, this item would cost no more than $20 at any other package store to package and $55 to ship. Yet, they thought they could outrageously charge me some exaggerated fee to ship an item. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service I received today. I stopped in the store to drop off a package that had pre paid shipping although I was charged a few bucks. I was confused about the charges. I was unable to print the label at home due to a glitch on the UPS website, so I decided to open my email in the store to scan the barcode for the shipping label. Due to not being able to get WiFi or service in the store, Haley asked me to forward the email to her so she could print it. While we were waiting for the email to go through, she recommended me to use the customer service computer to pull up my email for the shipping label. I used the computer in store for approx. 10 sec to try and pull up my email; but was before I could even pull it up; Kevin stated that they already received my email that I sent from my phone. He then printed the label. He then proceeded to tell me I was being charged for basically touching the computer and for printing the label. I was appalled! He said you used the computer and we charge for that and for printing the label for you. Haley came to the counter and said, yes we charge for that. I told her, it would have been nice for her to mention that to me as she sent me over there to pull up my shipping label that was emailed to me. Her response was ,sorry! I was truly appalled by the experience I had in the store today. It's a shame that there is such lack of great customer service these days read more

I am an ebay seller and I normally ship out my mail through the usps ; however, I recently gave ups a shot and ended up with a Nightmare!!!! In transit, ups broke the glass to my appliance and when ups repacked the item to ship it back to me; ups employees used the electrical cord as a handle to pick up my appliance and ripped it out of its place. Damaging it even more!!! To top it off, I paid for insurance and they denied it!! So at the end of the day I am out my shipping cost, I have to refund my buyer, and I have to pay for my item to be repaired. It's costing me money to do business with ups but who cares because they still got paid!! Never again will I use or recommend ups services to any of my friends, family or ebay community. read more
