These guys are genuinely nice. The lines are long and some customers are observing SD while others are not. So it's a weird scene. But the folks who work here are truly helpful and nice despite these stressful conditions. The space is clean and organized and they do a lot of things like notary services. They go the extra mile too--they even told me that I was overspending on an expedited delivery when ground service would arrive the same day. That certainly won more of my business! The worst place to ship anything. I tried to ship one (1) pair of sunglasses domestically and they wanted to charge $17 to pack and ship. When asked what they do to pack, the response was that they wrap in bubble wrap and add a little filler if needed. They then told me that because they didn't have multiple inches of room on every side they would not stand by their $7 packing job if anything happened and tried to upsell me on an 8x8x8 box TO SHIP ONE (1) PAIR OF SUNGLASSES. When asked how much the box was, they said $4. I said that's ludicrous and they then said "oh actually it's only $2.49". This place only exists to rip its customers off. Is this your business? After a stressful day trying to process a return pickup through the manufacturer, I called this store and spoke with Blanca who is an angel on Earth as far as I'm concerned. Not only did Blanca listen to my stressed rambling and complaining, but she took it upon herself to troubleshoot my issue with me and even went so far as to call the manufacturer for me and figure out the solution to my problem. Thanks to Blanca, I was saved a day of waiting on hold and didn't have to worry about whether or not to leave my $250 package on my porch waiting to be picked up. I should add there are 3 UPS stores closer to my house, but this will be my new go-to for all my shipping needs. read more

Super convenient location for a UPS store. The store is small, but they provide every mailing service under the sun. PO boxes, packing envelopes, overnight shipping etc.They can also package everything for you as long as you are buying all the packing materials they use. Prices are high, but if you need something send quick and don't want to possibly risk it with the Post Office, UPS is a great alternative. We have popped in when we need a certain size bubble envelope and Walmart is out. It is not our go-to just because of pricing, but it is super convenient when you need something They are also really nice about weighing a package for you if you need to know the weight, even if you are not using their services. Lines can be long and the store is small and they only have a couple people working, so take that into consideration when thinking about a time of day to visit. read more

Went to this store to drop off a chair I was returning to Amazon. I wasn't able to figure out how to take the chair apart completely, so I had to buy a box to fit the parts that wouldn't fit in the original box. The box was going to cost me $18. Instead, the employees at the store went out of their way to help me figure out how to take the chair apart completely, and then re-pack it in the original box so that it would fit. They saved me $18 bucks, and potentially saved me a hassle from Amazon since shipping the item in two parts could have caused issues. Amazing customer service experience. I would have tipped the guys if I could have, so a 5/5 on Yelp was the least I could do. read more

NEVER. AGAIN. Had I known this store had gotten such terrible reviews, I wouldn't have gone. I assumed all UPS stores would be as reliable as the next. Turns out that's not the case. I paid over $100 to overnight a package with perishable contents. It arrived two days later, destroyed. Because it was a B2B shipment, and the contents were destroyed, we lost the account. That is where the adventure began. I called corporate, waited. Was eventually told that they're super-duper sorry, but it's cuz but please understand but they aren't able to do anything for me. But if I'd like to call the store that dropped the ball, they can help me. I called the store, waited. Talked to an impatient and rude woman, waited some more. I was told that I need to speak to a manager. He only comes in tomorrow after 5:30. Try then, or if you miss him try another time. Can I leave your name and phone number with her? No, not really. Er, I mean I can if I want but there's no guarantee he'll get my message. Called corporate back, waited. They told me to call a different corporate number. Called. Waited. Oh yes, they can definitely help me. They'd love to give me the phone number of the store that dropped the ball on my order. Two words to describe the service here: quick and easy. I came in to return an item I had purchased on Amazon. Yes, Amazon makes returns simple but UPS made the return easily possible. In total the process took me literally 2 minutes. The service clerk greets everyone kindly upon entry, he scanned my return barcode, taped up the package I had, and boom! Finished! I've been to a few UPS Stores around the Peninsula, and this place is the ABSOLUTE WORSE. I don't usually like giving bad reviews (I've only given one other), but I've had to deal with them for 3 months because we had a mailbox with them. If you need a mailbox or need to ship anything via UPS, go find yourself another UPS Store. They are rude and unorganized. They've lost a few of our packages because the owner is so cheap that everything is done manually. If they were nice about it I wouldn't be upset. But, they are NEVER nice. The owner isn't nice either. He's actually the rudest and I believe that he sets the tone for the kind of horrible service they provide. They just hired a new guy. He's been there for about a week and he's nice. But we'll see how long that will last because when the owner is there, the new guy is not as nice. WTH? read more

"There isn't," replied both employees. "How about within a 15 mile radius?" Shaking of heads, "No." --using iPhone/Google/UPS website I finally got through on my own to a UPS rep via phone at 6:10pm. Phone rep was able to find 1111 el Camino Real, Sunnyvale's pick up time at 6:30pm. --would of had a 25-30 minutes window to drive 3.9 miles by 6:30 --UPS Store employees didn't even try to help...if they would just TRY there would of been a CHANCE to get envelope out today. I used to show up at every UPS Store with my package fully taped, the label fastened, and ready to go. I stopped doing this after the UPS store near my house said this was unnecessary. They always tape the box shut for me and fasten the shipping label, even when they're busy. A guy at the UPS store on Showers just scolded me for not taping the label to the box (I luckily had taped the box shut). All he had to do was fold the printed label, place it in a plastic sleeve, and stick it to the box. And for this a lecture! Sloooow service and then a public scolding. I'll never go back. read more

Over the past few months, I've had the unique opportunity to send some of my photography gear to Canon's repair facility via UPS or Fedex a good number of times. Because of this, I've got some experience with sending broken stuff via parcel delivery service. This UPS store is kind of a hole in the wall, with relatively little to look at once you get in. You walk in, go down what's practically a hallway, and turn left to address whomever you find behind the counter. It was kind of perfect for my needs: I just had a little parcel that I needed boxed up in packing materials and sent off via whatever speed was cheapest. The people working there were nice, a little difficult to communicate with, but chatty. There were relatively few people there when I got to the store, which was a good thing. They didn't seem to work quickly enough to really power through a long queue of people, and I would've been pissed if I just wanted to get in, drop off my parcel, and get out. 15 dollars to mail a small off camera flash to Southern California. Pretty much standard from what I've seen around here. This place will serve your purposes, but not do much else. Then again, when does a UPS store really ever blow you away? They're proud about the color brown. So it's boring and kinda cramped. read more

Steer clear of this store! The one star is solely for the purpose of writing this review. They run a very shady business. I had a package shipped express in September 2013 andIt was never delivered. What should have been a 3 day shipment is still lost somewhere out there and this is February 2014. There is no sense of urgency to resolve the issue or make right on the manager's part. It has been an uphill battle to get the manager to reimburse me the shipping charges and the value of the package which was insured by the way. Several claim forms and all attempts to recover the payment have proved ineffective. Just got off the UPS customer service now, to find out that he has received the reimbursement check from his insurance company weeks ago. I will be calling the Police to have this squared away, this is absolutely no way to run a business. They are still one of the most unprofessional set of people I have had to deal with. I brought in a package to send to my daughter in NYC for her birthday. I paid for the 3 day ship. I wrote down her address and gave it to the clerk. She typed it in and I paid over $40 to get it there. Well, the driver couldn't find it and I got an exception report. The report stated that they tried to call the receiver. My daughter got no such call or notice of a missed call. Then they gave up and sent back to the UPS Store. When I picked it up, I asked about a refund, they said that if I reship with them, they'd give me a 5% discount! Really? I'm out over $40! For nothing. Okay. So. I don't like giving a one star-write up, but this one star is for the NOTARY that works here. I had an "employment form" that needed the 10 dollar stamp and then I needed to fax it out to the company that needed it. I walked into the store, put my folder, hat, phone keys and wallet on the counter and asked the long haired kid behind the counter who was too busy on the computer to be bothered to greet me finally responded to my request for the notary. He literally turns his head forty five degrees over his shoulder and says, (without tearing his eyes from his screen), rather loudly "NOTARY!" and then, as if in the act of coitus-inturruptus, out comes a begrudging little woman with messy hair and no makeup. She walks right past me, doesn't look at me, and says "over here". So, I gather my belongings rather clumsily and almost drop my phone in the process. I walk all of ten feet from where I was planted and ready to be serviced....so to speak...and when I look up, I notice that the sole reason she had me move over there was one reason. The drawer with her bloody NOTARY BINDER was over there! it gets better. She literally flops it on the counter with all of the cerimony of a dead fish and I go into my paperwork - pull out the employment form and before I can utter any words, she snatches the book back and throws it back in the drawer declaring "The State of California does not notarize that form" and begins to walk away rudely. I mean COME ON LADY! Ever hear of customer service and oh...I don't know, being AMICABLE?! I really don't care if you can't be put off long enough to do your job and if it annoys you that much to work at a UPS store, that's your poor decision. Now for the facts... My wife is in HR - In the state of California Notary Publics CAN Notary this particular form. This form is an I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form. A typical visit to this branch involves being ignored for a while when you walk in. When the worker finally decides to acknowledge you, you sort of wish they hadn't because of the incredible amount of rudeness they can pack into a 5 minute transaction. Went in with my friend who had to send his corrupted hard drive to a HD repair company. My friend was trying to be as nice as possible and the lady there was being condescending to him and didn't feel like helping him at all. Even though it's possible for her to look up the company's account number, she initially refused until he had to call the company and then ask her again to follow 3 easy steps, which she reluctantly did and was able to get the info in like 2 min. Even though my friend was the one getting "helped" and I just stood there waiting for him I felt the tension in the room. I could only imagine if I was in his place. Had a horrible experience here. Wanted to ship a package. Used computer to print a label, found out it was 18.50 to ship the small 2lbs package. Found that it was 4 dollars cheaper to buy label on Amazon. So I came back in and asked to print the label from Amazon since I didn't actually print the label the first time around. Karla agrees to waive the fee this one time. I went to print the label then afterwards she informs me that it is a different charge since I didn't print the label the first time around. I did actually print something and they should have charged me for label printing instead of computer time. Charged me twice for computer time then label printing for a total of 6 dollars. Just to print two pieces of paper. Was rude and didnt inform me of the additional charges when I asked to print the second part of the label after showing her the receipt. No wonder this place only has two stars. Rip off. Hope ups management looks into this place. read more

Waited over forty minutes to be served (let alone greeted), with only person working the front of the store. It later turned out there were two additional staff members in the back (presumably working on packing?) but they never became available to assist the clearly overworked and visibly overwhelmed front of store worker, even after seeing the long line. They let the phone ring continuously for three minutes and never answered, which kind of just added insult to injury of the painful experience. She's probably doing her best given the constraints but UPS needs to hire more staff and advise its workers about prioritizing customers. read more

I don't know if it's Yelp's fault or UPS Store. Either way the information posted on Yelp is wrong. I try to schedule my day accordingly to help maximize my time. Between taking care of an elderly parent and family when the wrong time is posted on Yelp and is being used as a reference for customers it's frustrating when I approached this store with multiple boxes to find that it's still closed even though Yelp posts it's open at 9:00am. But it actually opens at 10:00am on this particular Saturday. I hate wasting my time this this is a perfect example!! read more

I've been using the Personal Mail Box services here for the past 3 months, and have received great services so far. Whenever I receive a parcel/package, they immediately email to let me know. Once I get to the store, they get to my stuff really quickly, and I usually get in and out within less than 10 minutes unless there's a longer line. One time, someone was getting the notary services at 4:30 pm on Saturday when the store was about to close, and the line was 8 customers long. But the service staff was caring, courteous, efficient, and pleasant, and handled the situation real well. I find every staff there to be that way when I visit the store. I will definitely renew my contract here at the end of my 3 months term. read more

I brought two items to return to Amazon a week ago. However, one of the return labels is faded. So, the UPS owner (or manager of the store) took one expensive item and used the other item's return label. A few days later, I came back and told him the refund was processed on the wrong item. He was extremely rude and blamed it on me for his mistake. I contacted Amazon customer support who helped me to resolve this issue and also informed me that the UPS store supposed to resolve this as well. I went to get my passport photo for my daughter there, and it was rejected by the passport lady at the post office for being too small and I was forced to pay for another passport photo there. I've only come here for the mailbox services so I can't speak about the shipping but I'll say I've never had issues with this branch in terms of service or lines. Even during the holiday rush the lines to pick up my packages were ten minutes tops. Compared to the Palo Alto locations the prices on boxes are much more reasonable. read more
