The store was quite busy when I first arrived but thanks to a full staff who was efficient while still attentive I was in and out in 10 minutes. I asked for a quote on the mailboxes as well and received a detailed response that answered my questions. They offer many services here with a friendly staff to help. Instead of a free or very minimal charge to print a label (which was the case previously), it now costs $5 to email a label and have it printed and $2 to log in and print it yourself. That seems a. It extreme too me. Aside from that this store offers everything you'd expect from a UPS store. The employees are friendly, patient and knowledgeable when it comes to your shipping needs. My sister left her computer at the airport--which is close to this store. I picked it up at lost and found and needed to get it to her ASAP. I can't remember the name of the person who helped me but he did an excellent job (I'm including his photo). I called to make sure that they were open And he started getting the packing materials ready before I even showed up. He gave me a AAA discount and made sure I had all the information to get the computer back to my sister. It was a stressful time and he was friendly, responsive and made sure we had the computer ready when the pick up truck showed up. After waiting in line I told the guy behind the counter I needed some passport photos and he told me they don't provide that service. If you can avoid UPS, avoid it. If you have to use UPS do not go this location. I went in On a Saturday to send my mother her glasses which she left at my home. The boy who helped me told me it would be $180 for overnight to get there Monday, $34 to get there Tuesday, and $12 to get there Wednesday. I hesitated on $180 so I went with the $34 option and asked the boy that they will for sure be there Tuesday. He said yes. 4 days later (Wednesday) my mother hadn't received her glasses and when I checked tracking it said they would be delivered Wednesday.. so I paid $22 extra dollars than Wednesdays actual delivery date for Tuesday and they're coming Wednesday. When I called the store to ask if they could do anything they said to call back once the package is delivered and they can process a refund. Fast forward to 10 days after I sent the package to when they're delivered and the manager Rudiz informs me they can't process a refund because UPS only guarantees next day delivery right now (there's a sign but no associate told me this) When I asked if there any any exceptions because we're not talking about a day or two late we're talking 7 business days he scoffed and told me "he didn't make the rules" Mind you this package was going from Phoenix to LA. I understand delays are happening and I understand Rudiz doesn't "make the rules" but this just felt like an excuse and I have no intention of giving location my business and I suggest anyone else save themselves the frustration and go elsewhere. read more

So! I took a beautiful birthday gift filled with baked goods to be delivered overnight last Thursday and they promised me for over $90 to have it delivered by the next day... UPS did not deliver it till this morning which is Monday and the shop will give me NO -Zero refund for my overnight fee and the baked goods are probably no good and UPS and this store will not refund anything at all and it's my problem.... UPS and the store do not honor their word. I honestly was very disappointed but it didn't get delivered most importantly and now I get zero refund for my trouble... Wow!! Where to begin. I drove a ways so go to this store specifically. One young gentleman is always sooo nice, friendly, and kind. But when I called I knew it wasn't the guy I normally see. I really needed my package to go out that day. After calling several stores, I asked if they had their pick up yet and he said no. So I drove over and sent out a few packages. I get a phone call two days later from another boy. He informs that one of the packages didn't have an address on it. I guess he didn't make a label for one package. This one in particular was the one I needed to go out that day!!! Ugh. I give him the address and ask "are we are finished"? He clearly did not like that. Because he then explained to me, "I do not need this abuse from you! I won't be sending the package out to your recipient at all." And hangs up the phone. Ummmmmmmmmm.......... So I call the store back and he picks up the phone, "yeah!?!" Me: Did you just say you're not going to ship it out? Him: Yeah I'm just going to send it back to you. I don't need this abuse! You can't just scream at me!?! Me: I wasn't screaming, I'm trying to get off the phone. Is my package being sent to me? If so you probably don't have the right address. Him: well we are all busy working lady. I'm busy too! And he hangs up the phone. Ok cool. So this is going well. Hahaha! Wow. I call this store back about 7 times before he decides to answer. Me: I need to know where my package is going. It's expensive. If it's coming to me, you probably have an old address on file. I can just come pick it up and deliver to her as she lives here in town. Him: oh I sent it out already. Me: you sent it to me? Him: to your original recipient. Me: ok, I just need to really know where my package is. Please!!! This is insane!!!! Him: you're the one that's insane!!!! AND HANGS UP THE PHONE. IS THIS REAL LIFE!?! I now have no idea where my package is and can only assume it's going to be missing or damaged if it's in the hands of someone this immature. I call another nearby ups store to try and help me find it in the system and she told me she didn't want to get involved. What is happening. Now I'm getting the run around to try and track my own package that was sent out days ago. Cool I was given the run around with corporate as well. I just want to find out where my package is. After a couple hours of phone call after phone call, I was able to get a hold of a supervisor at the cal center who was kind enough to call the store and ask where my package was, while I waited on the other line. The boy finally answered corporates call. She then come back to inform me "it was sent out to me but had no return to sender address or recipient address." Me: Wait, what? If they don't have an address, where did it go? Her: Let me call him back and ask Me: ok thank you Her: he's now not answering my calls either Wow. Ok cool. So now my package is missing and I had to pay for it to be shipped. And they mysteriously don't have a tracking or address for it. After her trying to call over and over while I waited on hold, I was hung up on accidentally, I assume. I will never go to this store again. The post office was closed due to power outage & I live right by this UPS store. Long story short I decided to get a book of stamps. I asked how much a book is now (haven't bought one in a very long time) & she told me $17. I'm like dang they've really gone up. I bought one. When I got home I looked it up. I needed notary services and was pleasantly surprised that UPS offered this service. They offered an easy online scheduling process and same day appointments were available. I arrived for my appointment early thinking I may need to wait. However, there was no wait and they actually took me earlier than my original appointment. The notary was pleasant and efficient. The price for the p.o. box is a little higher than the actual post office but the reason I chose the UPS store versus USPS is the customer service and smaller lines. I've used shipping, printing and notary services here and every time the service has been great, they even address every single person who is waiting so nobody is really getting too upset. Including today, I've waited for 15+ minutes past the opening time of the business before someone shows up to open or just left! I went in here the other day to send a 6-pound package to MA via USPS, as the recipient has a PO Box and cannot receive UPS packages. I was quoted $85 to ship this package. When I told the person that was outrageous, he pretended to have made a mistake, and said it was only $55. I took the package and left the store. Today I mailed it from the post office in Tempe for $28, priority mail. Like some of the other reviewers, it appears that this location was trying to rip me off. I would not go here to ship anything unless it is a prepaid label for a return. They were also almost completely out of any shipping supplies. I ended up buying packing tape I needed at the post office also. I did not tell them that I had shipped 150 pounds of materials to Ohio via FedEx the day before I was in their store, for the same price ($85) they wanted to charge me for the 6-pound package. Use a different shipper. This place is not trustworthy. read more

Here is the recap of the awful appalling, horrible experience I had today at THE UPS STORE #4080 Indian School and 44th Street.... all thanks to a male named Nathan. On Saturday June 13 I dropped off a small package to be shipped to Tulsa, OK with the address clearly written on the envelope placed inside the opened box. He inputted it incorrectly and the email I received said he shipped it to CA instead of OK. I had the address right in front of him, nor did he ask me to verify it. During that visit he was very snappy and in a foul mood and treated me horribly as well, so when I saw the mistake he made, I really wasn't surprised. The good news was it said pick up wasn't until Monday I figured I could stop in right when they open and correct the mistake. This morning I arrived at 7:55am and waited until 8:20am and he still wasn't there to open the store when 8am opening times are clearly posted on the door and online. By the time I left (had a gym class to get to) there were 4 other people waiting, including a lady whole told me "he will get here eventually, but when he does, he's never very nice." I told her about my already awful experience, and she wasn't surprised either. SO I returned after my spin class around 9:30a to encounter a line of about 5 people, including the lady he was helping. She didn't understand something about an Amazon label, and he was already being very rude to her, expectedly so now at this point in my mind. She took her box and walked out and he called after "DUMBASS" very loudly in front of about 4 other people in line including me. We all were shocked. He also was NOT wearing a mask, and a lady offered him one and he refused to put it on. (this should be ground for termination alone). When it was my turn, I explained the situation & he told me it was impossible to have happened to ship to an incorrect address. I assured him he inputted it wrong and he became VERY upset and unprofessional. He was accusatory and didn't take any responsibility for his mistake when it was clear what happened. Here is a list of things he said to me: * "You are going FULL KAREN Right now" (racist) * He cursed (F-word) multiple times at me and demanded I go look or the package myself in the back (this should be ground for termination alone) * He asked me to step aside to so he could help others even though my customer service issue wasn't resolved. * He told me I was getting mad and wouldn't help me when in reality he was the one who was distraught while I am the customer with a problem he was refusing to resolve * He told me he was going to record me, put me on social media for everyone to see and "they'll decide who's right and who's wrong" * The other customers in line were so uncomfortable his behavior they left, and he said "I am fucking losing customers now thanks to you" even though he was the one cursing and treating me insanely horrendous This is the epitome of unacceptable, wrong, deplorable, inexcusable and unprofessional. This is my neighborhood UPS store and I am sure if I asked around, I could find more horror stories like this. There were eyewitnesses to ALL of this. He needs to be no longer be employed by UPS because of this unacceptable display of unprofessionalism. He wasted my time on three occasions and this just isn't right. The COVID cases in Maricopa county are still high. This location has a sign out front saying that the employees are wearing masks, but no one was. I had my baby with me and when I asked the employee if she had a mask she said, "No, no one does." So I just left. Watch out for this UPS store. If you drop something off you need to stand there and make sure they scan in the actual item. I was recycling an old iPhone. And it was stolen from the store. Clearly they have some untrustworthy employees so be careful. FYI, there's nothing they can do about reimbursing you because it was never scanned in the first place. So much for having security cameras. They won't even look at those to show that the item was dropped off. read more

Hey, what's all the beef? I think UPS gives great service. I've had more experience with drivers and receiving packages after ordering online, so when it's my turn to ship I use UPS about 50% of the time. This store is everything I expected. Courteous, informative, helpful and a bargain for shipping goodies to my favorite people in California. Plus, I can track it, and it tells me online exactly when it arrived, and who signed for it! Sa weet! I usually wrap my parcels myself, but I know the folks here will add to my tape job, if necessary. No label required, as they take care of this, too, when you fill out all the pertinent info right there in the store. Pretty convenient, if ya ask me. read more

Nate was hands down the most aggressively rude service clerk I've ever encountered ANYWHERE! Previously he has been helpful. Today he asked me to confirm address so I called to confirm then he shouts LOUDLY that I'm being rude and he has a line full of customers behind me he needs to help. There was one person behind me. One person being helped at the counter by another clerk. 3 people in the store total, everyone was awkwardly uncomfortable staring at him yelling at me. In particular, I've spoken with Dixie at this location and she is wonderful. Dillon (Dylan) and Juan that deliver in our neighborhood are excellent, hardworking individuals.
