What can I say nice about this store? Nothing ! The employee look like they don't want to be there, especially the notary he has a chip on his shoulder .I have worked customer service over 30 years and love what I do! They say if you love what you do, it's not a job, and you always look forward to going to your career you enjoy. Not only did my friend say thank you twice, but he didn't respond to her she finally went stopped in front of him and said, "Thank you he copped an attitude and said thanks . He was rude and unprofessional, and they had none of the documents that needed to do notary ! I had to look everything up and email them pretty much doing his job . I forgot to mention he went to the back, not telling us he's going on his 15 minutes at all. Man, if he's doesn't like what he's doing, please find someone who will take his job. There are a lot of people who need jobs and would be thankful to have one. Without us, he wouldn't have a job at all. This happened yesterday, Monday, around 5 .. The lady was nice, and the young African American man was nice they both had smiles .. they felt uncomfortable. I had to ask where he was, and they told me on a break . I needed to get a page notarized quick on a short notice. It's Saturday 4pm and this UPS was the only one open at this time, close enough to get to, and closes at 5. I got there at 4:30, and told a girl I need notary service, in which she said they do not do notary service after 4, but will ask the notarizer if she will still do it. I was hopeful. She proceeded to do so and the lady notarizer, who is helping a customer, exasperately said "No, not after 4 And I'm still working on this one." To which I asked, what time do u close? I only have one page..She rudely, like she was very annoyed, answered "5 and this is my last one!" I felt sorry for her cuz she def looked disgruntled and overly stressed, but that should not be excused for good customer service. I turned and left and was really pissed that I drove all the way for nothing. To UPS, u need to put a SIGN that says last notary at 4pm, so u would not have any more pissed off disappointed customers. Needless to say I will not use this location in the future!! read more

After you pay a company for your item And they then charge you shipping. You go to pick up your item at this store and they charge you 5 bucks to pick up your package. I think they should thank you for using ups and not the other 2 major companies available to ship. Nope..not a thank you but a ...give us another 5 bucks and we will hand you your box. Went in to return an item purchased through Amazon. The instructions from the site specified to return the item with the same packaging in which it was received. The young girl who was helping me tells me that they're "not box shipping." I tell her I'm not certain what that means as she hands me my Drop-Off Package receipt, and so I simply start to head out the door (not my first time returning at this store) while passing the long line of others waiting to be helped. It was then that I hear, "Cancel that last return!" coming from a young man with closely cropped light hair whom I had noticed earlier because he wasn't wearing his mask over his nose. As I cleared the line of people and was now outside of the store, I turned and saw this same employee behind me, holding out the empty box. I look at him and tell him that's not mine, as the labeling clearly states "Amazon" on it. Now, if there had been some change to the return policy that runs contrary both to past methods and specified instructions, then some sort of sign or considered explanation from staff would be in order. Instead, this guy decides that the best show of "professionalism" is to stalk me outside of the store, thrust the box toward me without a word of explanation, and then shout out, "Cancel that last return!" two more times in a manipulative show of force. I held up my receipt and responded, "I have my proof of return, so you can explain the missing merchandise to Amazon," before walking away. Here's the concerning part: because I was so caught off guard and uneasy that someone followed me outside the store, shouting with no explanation, I walked past my car and pretended to be going to another store, since I didn't know what he might try next. It made me wonder: were I female, and had he acted the same way, would I have had cause to call the authorities? To the store's owner: I highly suggest you review any camera footage (either from your store or the surrounding stores) from Sat, Jan 2nd, at 12:47 PM local time to witness the exchange I just described. And to the young man who followed me out: next time try to remember that you're in a customer service role before giving your best Cobra Kai impression - and learn how to wear a mask! read more

As Vicki D wrote, this is a treasure and, like her, I hate to give away the secret. The other day, I went to the Post Office - which is almost directly across the street from teh UPS Store - to fill out a Change-of-Address card. What a hassle!! There were not Change-of-Address cards in the lobby, so I had to stand in line again to get a blank card. Then, after filling it out, I had to stand in the long line again to give it tot he clerk. No wonder the USPS is bankrupt. Most postal workers are hard-working and pleasant, but they alone cannot overcome bad management. As I left the Post Office, I realized that I could have avoided the hassle by walking across to the UPS Store. There, a friendly and efficient staff can take care of all mailing and copying needs. In response to the owner's comment below: After contacting UPS, USPS, and the retailers for these packages several times (as I was directed by this store's employees), their tracking was finally updated to show the packages were picked up from the store on Dec 22 -- over TWO WEEKS after they were originally dropped off for delivery (Dec 6). I called this location twice asking if these packages had been overlooked, missed, etc, and the representative I spoke to both times ensured me that all packages had been picked up by UPS and USPS the night of Dec 6. If you're comfortable with your packages sitting in a black hole for 17 days before going out for delivery, continue to visit this location. I stand by my original review and will NOT use this store location again. read more

Quick Update: Bump in a star, because they have USPS services! Without the pain of going to a post office! I never knew! Longer Explanation: Growing up in the *suburbs* I thought- wow- post offices are such convenient and easy-to-use places with their automatic machines. Then I moved to the city- post offices were scary places that had bars and thick glass during limited business hours. Now that I'm back in the suburbs, I realized the local post office of my youth was an exception. The Marina del Rey/ Manhattan Beach/ Inglewood/ Downey/ etc locations have long lines and the Redondo Beach (near the Pier) is a nightmare on so many levels. I needed to ship a Valentine's Day gift out ASAP. The recipient would have NOT have been happy with a late delivery. I walked into the UPS store- thinking it would be much more expensive than USPS- but I just wasn't up to dealing with the post office. I walked in "What is the most affordable way to send a package and get there by Valentine's Day?" Them: "To where?" Me: "New Jersey" Them: "What's the package?" I showed them the package, they responded with a preprinted tracking number and a USPS Priority Envelope. In, Out, Paid less than ten minutes- and sent a photo of the tracking number to the recipient. read more

I came to drop off some textbooks I had rented that needed to be returned. I had previously gone to the UPS store on Sepulveda and was told that the two packages I was trying to ship had the same return labels so I couldn't send them. I was in a hurry so I just grabbed my books and left--I'd deal with it later. When I got home, I called the Sepulveda location to see if it was possible if I could just tape the two packages together and send it off. I mean, I had already packaged and sealed them and didn't want to hassle with it anymore than I had to. The guy on the phone told me that I couldn't do that. I eventually ended up coming to this UPS store on Artesia and the woman who helped me was extremely helpful and friendly. Right away she said it wouldn't be a problem and offered to tape the packages together and send them on their way. What a difference a location makes. I thanked her and went on my way. Extremely helpful and patient staff! I had to ship a few legal documents and was trying to create the shipment online. However, I found the packaging options confusing on the website so decided to check out the different envelopes etc. in the store. The lady on the counter not only helped me with the multiple options I had, but also suggested the best ones for me. All this while being extremely patient in a situation where I would have lost my cool had I been dealing with someone like me. I'll be creating the shipment today and will drop it off tomorrow. Not up front about pricing - said they charge less than FedEx to print out, but didn't include they charge $1 jus to open an email. Also, the first two times they didn't have my orders ready and I had to wait for them. Have never confirmed order is ready and I have to call and ask. The woman was particularly rude. They Rule! This place is busy because you get custom service by knowledgeable employees. They know what you need for packing and shipping and copy needs. They have delivered copies for my family for years now. I email them in a pdf and pick them up. Simple. They will always ask the right questions too, because they want to make certain you get exactly what you want and they know how to get it done. So I looked on yelp and search for UPS store to scan some documents. This place got good reviews. I decided to visit this place. I was helped by A. I told him that I would use my USB to save my documents. He did not explain me anything, took my papers and scan all them (cost 2.20 dollars). And Charged me extra 2 dollars just for "save to thumb drive". Really? I feel like ... he neglected to tell me about the extra charge until after he charged me. So unethical. However, I was kinda late to pick up my kids. So I was like... That's fine with me, although Im not happy bout that. Then, I got home, opened the files he scanned for me. OMG... really pissed. He scanned all my documents ( 6 pages) into 3 files , not separate them, upside down... I ended up unable to use these files to submit onlne for my job application. Have to go to Kinkos in Torrance to do it again at 7 PM... My school gave me the list where I could do my Bioscan on my fingerprint for my Board test... I did think about this place. But I just changed my mind thanks to how they treat their customer. read more

This place is awesome! I have been here in this Area for 14 years. I come here all the time. Everybody is nice here that was a reason why I come back. The only person make me write this review today is Devon. Devon is my hero today! He helped me carry 2 big box cabinets heavy than me and spend time taking care of my problems. I checked the hours--open until 7pm-- and asked my husband to get home a bit early today so we could finally get something notarized. He left work at 5, got home at 615, we walked into the ups store at 625. We waited patiently for them to help us. At 631, the young man, who wAs very courteous, informed us that they stopped doing notary service at 630. We spoke to him for another minute or two, trying to change his mind, to no avail. We turned to leave, thinking it must be 645, when my husband showed me the clock on his phone. 6:32. I immediately turned back around-- told the young man that it was 6:32 only. And that we had waited at least 5 minutes for them to help us. He told us no, was polite, but said that the owner was very strict about their closing rules and they could not help us. So someone enacted some magical closing procedure that precluded them from helping us? Very doubtful. They were just trying to go home early I think. I would encourage you to check the security cameras. You'll see me, my husband and 11 year old son enter, wait, etc. You've been my neighborhood go-to for these types of things as well as shipping, etc. But no more. Thanks a lot neighbor. read more

I have been coming here for years, always pleasant, efficient service. I'm not sure if the franchise has changed hands, but there are new employees, who did not take my UPS package that I wanted to refuse service for, per the vendor, and return. Was advised that "new" UPS policy is to charge for return to sender, without a new shipping label. Called the vendor while I was at the store, and while they tried to work out a solution for me while being at the UPS store, they couldn't do it. Was advised by these employees that UPS does not take Returns any longer due to lost shipments. I asked for a manager, but was not presented with one. I left the store and saw a UPS driver outside, whom I asked about this "new" policy. He wasn't aware of it, and suggested I call the UPS hub in Gardena, at Western and Artesia Blvd. Got home and called them and was advised that they will send out a driver to pick up the package. If this is the UPS store, why wasn't I advised of this, especially since I've dropped off packages there previously to return to vendor, without being charged. By the time I returned home, the vendor sent me a shipping label as promised during the phone conversation at the store, acknowledging that they have never had issues with customer returns with UPS, and may now have to search for a new shipping company. I dropped off the package with the new shipping label at the El Segundo UPS store, since I didn't want to go back to the Redondo Store on Artesia. When I explained the circumstances, they advised that as long as the package is not opened, they will take the package and send it back to the vendor. Why the discrepencies? I spoke with a frat brother who owns several franchises and while he advised that they take packages to be returned at their store, he tried to explain that since there is no tracking of the package since I would be using the original tracking label, it could get "lost", depending on the store and the driver for that store. He advised to always contact UPS and have them pick up the package for sending back to the vendor, which would have saved me a lot of headaches. Well now I know, but I also found a new store in El Segundo to give my business to. read more

Excellent and fast service! I came in with packages that were already paid for, but I still needed to print the labels. I was able to email the labels to the ups email from my phone. The man helping me printed them out for me, taped it all up, and took them to mail in about 5 min or less. He didn't even charge me for the printing! Seriously I've been to this location hundreds of times and I've loved it every time. Cameron is amazing!! The rest of the staff is great too, but ask Cameron about the loyalty program, they give you a stamp for every package you send and you can get $5 when you get to 10. They're always willing to help with anything you need! Big or small. My only negative is the parking, they share a small lot with several other businesses so it's not ideal. Other than that, everything about my experiences here were flawless. I've recently moved away from Redondo and I know for certain I'm going to miss this place like crazy!! Like another reviewer, I dropped in to get something notarized. I was there at 6:25. When we approached the desk, after waiting a few minutes, the attendant informed us that the owner has "shut down" procedures that have to be followed. As a result, they don't take any notary work after 6:30. It was 6:30. If this is true, the owner must not like taking money. I don't know of any small business owner that wouldn't spend a few extra minutes to help the bottom line. Disappointing. read more

I was nervous about using this UPS store to do some of the reviews. I was actually going out of my way to the one on PCH. I had a very inexpensive return to do, so I tried them. My package got to where it was supposed to. Today I did a prepaid UPS drop off and received a drop off receipt. I have never had to wait, and my service has been courteous. I have not utilized any of the other services beyond UPS drop off. It looks like the reviews have gone up in the last year. read more
