In the past, we had printed a poster at our local Staples store but this time we had to look at other options since in-store pickup wasn't available and we would need it delivered. We did some research and found that Fedex pricing was comparable AND the poster would be ready within 1-2 days, which was faster than other options like Office Depot, Vistaprint, Signs.com, etc. We uploaded our file on a Tuesday around noon. The estimated finish time would be Weds, which was perfect. Then around 6:40pm on Tuesday, we received an email saying that the poster was ready for pickup. Since they close at 7pm, my husband was excited and decided he wanted to pick up the poster before closing. When he came home, he was clearly very disappointed. The colors on the poster were a lot darker than anticipated and his blue car ended up looking like a black car! We weren't sure what to do, since it could have been our fault with the photos, right? And since the poster had already been printed, there was a chance the company would say, "Sorry, we went off your file and you have to accept the finished product." That night, we were kinda bummed.... I did some reading and research (on Reddit forums, lol) and many posts mentioned that print shops should be able to adjust the colors on their printing. I remembered back in my teaching days, when I was at the copy machine, I'd turn the darkness on my originals higher, so maybe that was what happened in our case---the darkness was too high. We decided it was worth a try to ask Fedex if they could somehow print it with lighter tones. Honestly we were kinda apprehensive when we walked into Fedex that day. Fortunately we were greeted by Rick, who listened to our woes and was super understanding and helpful. Soon Manager Jon walked over and we explained our concerns. I was so impressed by the patience and attention to detail that both of these employees showed us that day. Long story short (guess it's not that short anymore), a few hours later, Jon called and said he had adjusted some of the colors and that the poster was ready for pick up. When we got there, the reprinted poster looked so much better. My husband was so happy and grateful, because now he had a poster he could be proud of. We know redoing the poster required extra time, effort and printing costs for Fedex, so we are very thankful that Manager Jon took the time to make a customer satisfied. Excellent customer service and two wonderful, friendly guys who made the whole process enjoyable and boosting Fedex's reputation in our mind. Now if only Fedex would accept USPS packages for drop off, they would be perfect! ^_^ Thanks again, Rick, Jon and Fedex Rocklin!

In the past 10 years, I have seen the USPS postal service become VERY unreliable for incoming and…read moreoutgoing packages and mail. Many sent items and expected items have been lost or stolen. Even certified mail or return receipt mail goes missing frequently. Seems that USPS only really cares about your package if you use the more expensive priority mail. Even then with the tracked priority mail, I have had packages go missing. Unfortunately, if you have to ship to a PO Box then you HAVE to use the USPS. In those cases, I always use Priority Mail. UPS has a better record than USPS but still mistreats and loses packages. I have had the BEST success with FedEx. I have only ever had one package lost. According to FedEx it is still circling Nashville. When using FedEx I have the best service and experience when I go to the corporate ship point on Nichols Drive. This is where the packages go to anyway, so I go straight here instead of the FedEx Kinkos locations. I have had a MUCH better experience at Nichols Drive than ANY FedEx Kinkos location. Paulina is a consistently excellent employee at this location who always provides excellent customer service. I use the cheapest ground option and allow plenty of time for shipping when I can to save money.

It seems like nobody cares with this company.

When I questioned why that was necessary just to mail a letter, I was told they needed to add me into their system to "make things easier next time." Another employee chimed in and said this was "standard." I made it clear that I did not want my personal information stored in their system just to send a piece of mail. The entire interaction felt unnecessary and intrusive, so I trusted my gut and left. I then went to the local USPS office up the street, mailed the same letter without having to hand over my driver's license or personal data, and it cost significantly less. Based on my experience, I would avoid this location unless absolutely necessary.

When I walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming -- cluttered, disorganized, and unprofessional -- but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. After saying hello out laid, there was a man sitting in the back who didn't acknowledge me at all, and a woman behind the counter who was not friendly with zero acknowledgment as well. When I asked for help choosing the right box size, she just pointed to a shelf behind me instead of assisting me -- unlike other postal service locations I've used where staff actually help find the proper box. As I looked through the boxes, none of them were the right size. They were all too big and she knew it. Then the man in the back told me to use a box he had -- which turned out to be a used box with used padding, already labeled and opened from a previous shipment. I figured they were offering it as a free courtesy, which would've been great! However, when I got my receipt, I saw they charged me $6 for a used box and used packing materials -- bringing my total to $26 for what should've been a simple $20 shipment. Charging customers for reused materials is completely unacceptable. Let me say that again just in case it was missed. I got charged for used packaging. Between the disorganized setup, poor customer service, and questionable business practices, I won't be returning. I'd recommend going elsewhere if you want professional service and transparency.

I immediately asked for a receipt which was one smart thing I did because I was able to track whether my package left that facility! My partner heard my story and called to talk to whomever was the manager (no surprise it was the woman behind the counter) and had the worst customer service interaction she had ever had. It was one excuse after another about why she needed to know what was in the package and she also said she was just curious. Which is it, curiosity or regulation? That place was terrible and I will never do business there. The health department should look into that store. I'm not sure that woman doesn't live in it. I never thought I'd need to look up reviews to a postal store before doing business but when I looked them up after the fact I wasn't surprised by all the bad reviews. Steer clear of this place.

I then decided to just mail my documents instead, but I needed certified mail, which requires a postage meter not stamps. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough postage loaded on the meter, so I was told I'd have to use stamps, which doesn't work for certified mail. Overall, a frustrating experience. The business seemed unprepared, unorganized, and unable to provide basic services. I won't be returning.
