Went in today to print something and have it shipped and found out they charge you $3 fee just to use a printer from their printing kiosk station on top of each of the pages. Fedex and other locations don't seem to charge for something so simple when I am shipping something using their services. FedEx will print out the label for free before having it shipped, UPS will charge you about $3.25 for this, apparently. Overall felt like the business doesn't want or value me as a customer by over complicating something that should be very simple. Customer service was pretty bad, definitely won't be going back to this location. FedEx offers a much better experience in my opinion. read more

Needed to print a USPS label, but you have to pay to use the computer plus the printed page itself. Came out to like $4, not worth it. I recommend going to the FedEx store on Cottle to use the print and go, you just email what you need to print and it's 15 cents per black and white page. Great customer service by Breana. Came here yesterday to get some things returned to Amazon and to ship a couple presents for late Christmas gifts. Breana advised me to pack in a poly bag for the clothes and the other stuff I shipped. I bought a box and got the pack and ship guaranteed. Breana was very professional and very personable! The service at this location is very disappointing. There was no attempt to deliver my package to my apt. It was sent straight to this store. Im a new first time Mom so my husband went to pick it up for me. (In the middle of his 12 hour workday) Diana refused to give it to him, even though our last names matched as well as him having the tracking number. He offered to provide his registration with the updated address and name but she refused to listen. Then when I called up to see if there was another solution she has a bad defensive attitude the whole time and without suggesting any solution, she hung up on me. I emailed the store manager so we will see if I get a response. Also, it ended up being an extremely easy fix. I just called UPS and they put out a request to have it picked up from the store and redelivered to my house. read more

The worst UPS location. Female employees working Wednesday night March 1st were initially unhelpful & rude. Eventually one tried helping me, but the blonde pregnant lady was giving immense attitude/disrespect while on her phone. I understand people have bad days, or simply don't like their jobs.. but if you're working with customers you need to be courteous and sympathetic. Doesn't matter why I was in there, just the fact that I was very calm and respectful, just looking for help. I expected mutual treatment. I don't like coming to this store because my packages have magically disappeared in the past plus this staff has the worst customer service. Some of them also have major attitude, especially Lupe and Brianna. To top it off, now this store has started closing early everyday. Yesterday I came in to send a package at 6:50pm and they told me they couldn't give me a receipt and said they were closed already. I wasn't about to leave my package without a receipt because I don't trust this staff. There were 3 other customers trying to send out their packages yesterday as well but this store didn't want to help them either. Today I spoke to the manager Brianna (who was holding her crying baby) and she said they close at 6:55 now. Then why does it say you close at 7 on the door? I asked for the district manager's name and she said there isn't one and to call UPS. I asked how do I contact the store owner and Brianna said "his name is Rajeev but he isn't going to do anything". Then Brianna mentioned checking the cameras to see what time I came in yesterday and I told her to go right ahead. I can't believe how incompetent both Brianna and Lupe are at their job. They have too much attitude and a lot of the complaints in these Yelp reviews are about them. I went to this store to send my passport renewal documents.. I got all the printouts and had all docs in place. Got the label and the pouch as well.. The manager was so kind enough to see the label, I was sending it to the passport consulate and suggested me to write "passport renewal" on the top on the envelop. He also mentioned it's stated on the instructions sheet provided. I read it and I was so glad that he suggested me do so.. he also advised me to use a waterproof envelope for additional safety, to avoid any water damage. Do not waste your time trying to get a live scan here. One of the female employees that speaks Spanish attended us. She couldn't figure out how to do the live scan through the computer. Insisted that we were missing information on our form and without it she couldn't continue the process. When we called our lawyer to get the missing information, our lawyer confirmed in fact we are not. The employee asked to speak to our lawyer since we had her on our phone on speaker. Employee was extremely rude to her stating that our lawyer doesn't know what's she's doing and laughing about it. We left the store, and Google another locations where they had no issue at all completing the live Scan. In fact there was no additional information needed. Seeing how many bad reviews there is at this location you would think the UPS would consider better training for their employees. read more

Employees Lupe and Briana were both very rude and unprofessional when I walked in to simply drop off a book. I kept my distance from them but they are definitely not happy there. They mugged me and gave me an ugly frown while telling me to get a mask next door when I am just doing a drop off. Can't you offer a mask for a three second drop off? I had to drive all the way from Morgan Hill to get here. I was just making a few amazon returns so I was quick. One of my returns was one that UPS was supposed to pick up but they didn't and I brought it in to see if they would take it. The girl helping me originally was a sweetheart but as soon as I started asking questions about the box that UPS didn't pick up, Anthony (im assuming the manager) came over and started berating me without even trying to help me or answer my questions. I asked him to speak kindly to me and he came back even more rude. I even witnessed him yelling at other costumers while I was there. With the exception of just dropping off a package without any human contact, I have never had a pleasant experience there. STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE SHIPPING SHOES OR SNEAKERS OR ANYTHING VALUABLE!!! I have assumptions the workers here that handle the packages are stealing shoes / sneakers out the box and repackaging it and then shipping them out with empty packages to their destination. I understand it's a very strong allegation, but originally I thought maybe it was the place/destination (GOAT) that I was sending my shoes to, were stealing the items in the boxes. Then I started to question the UPS Store on Monterey Rd (5542 Monterey Rd San Jose, CA 95138 Santa Teresa) after a buddy of mine suggested to see if the same issue had occurred on Yelp and lo and behold, it has. On 12/28/2018 (3-4 weeks before my situation) Sam B. from Sunnyvale, CA also had dropped off shoes to return to the sender at the Monterey UPS store and the package arrived empty with no sneakers. Coincidence? Here's a little more backstory: My go to UPS store is usually the one on Blossom Hill and Snell (5669 Snell Ave San Jose, CA 95123) (I know their Yelp reviews suck, but I think they're great nonetheless. I only require to receive a drop off receipt for my prepaid packages and I'm usually in-and-out in minutes) I sell sneakers on a regular day basis on StockX or GOAT. I've sent over 30 packages at the Blossom Hill location alone and I've never had ANY issues with my packages arriving to its destination, EVER! But the 2 separate occasions I decided to drop off my packages at the Monterey location I've had the 2 packages arrive to its destination empty. Both times the sneakers were headed to GOAT (a sneaker resell company) Once on 01-22-19 and the second time on 02-08-19 (I've attached the receipts to this post and both incidents are still under investigation via UPS) - Drop off package #1 on 01-22-19: After GOAT notified me on 01-31-19 and said "After inspecting the box as well, it does not appear that the box had been tampered with and that the package may have been shipped to us without the sneakers included in the package." I KNOW FOR A FACT that I sent the package with the shoes in it so it was hard to believe that the package wasn't tampered with! This is where I thought GOAT employees were lying and therefore thinking they were stealing my sneakers, but it also came to mind that the UPS store also has the ability to reprint and repackage my box after I have dropped it off and then ship them out with nothing in it. Keep in mind, they already weighed the package and printed my receipt so I at least I have proof of weight of my package. After I had provided GOAT a copy of the drop off receipt and a signed affidavit (which notarizing costed me $15 each time) I was still able to be paid out for the sneakers. - Drop off package #2 on 02-08-19: As I dropped off my package this time around I was more cautiously to get a drop off receipt (as I ALWAYS do). When the caucasian lady (which I believe she was) with light gray hair weighs my package and prints me my receipt I review it and see there's an error of weight. I've shipped enough sneakers to know how much they should weigh and they usually weigh anywhere from 3 to 4 lbs. depending on the sneaker. These were Air Jordan 5's so I knew these had to weigh around 4lbs., but the receipt showed it weighed a little over 2 lbs. The lady claimed a previous customer had came in earlier with their child and that the child was playing with the weight increments on the weighing machine. Which she claimed the increments were in kilograms and not in lbs. which I have no idea what the conversion weight would be but I just thought it was an honest mistake and I overlooked it. She then re-weighed it and printed me a new drop off receipt with the correct weight of 3.9 lbs. Then GOAT notifies me again on 02-15-19 and says the same thing "After inspecting the box as well... yada yada yada.." there's no shoes AGAIN! I go through the same situation again. After I spend another $15 for the signed affidavit I got paid through GOAT's insurance. I don't ever do reviews, but I do not want this to happen to anyone else, but best believe I WILL NOT BE DROPPING OFF ANYMORE PACKAGES AT THE MONTEREY RD UPS STORE. I will definitely be contacting the Owner/Manager of this location and letting them know they should be looking into this. So I chose this store for package pickups. I was notified on Friday that my package was ready for pick up at 10am. Since they close at 7 pm on a Friday, I can pick it up after work at 6 pm. Let and behold on the same day, I got an email at 5:30pm Stating my package got refused and will be sending it back to the sender!!!! I don't understand why they refused my packages and ship back to the sender. Now I have to call UPS to track my package down, and wait 24 hours to see what they can do. It all started with this store who sent my package back!! Why?!?!?! I hope this store closes because they don't do what they are suppose to do. And false advertisement. Don't ship your stuff here. UPDATE: turns out you need to rent a P.O. Box in order to ship here. That is an $250 a year. I rather use Amazon lockers which is free. read more

This review is for the delivery service and notifications service only. I really do not understand why they send out shipping status notifications. I always get more than one. The first one usually shows up real early and says an early time like between 10am and 2pm. So you reschedule your day to sign for a must signature and just before 10am you'll get another one changing to a later time like 2PM to 6PM. This really does not work to anyone's scheduling benefit. Then just a few moments ago (4:40pm) I get another text saying it will be here tomorrow. That sucks when you take a day off of work to get a package. Going to cancel my Alcohol wine subscription. RUDE. Look, I'm friendly /cordial to everyone ESPECIALLY people who are working in seemingly "non fun" jobs. I asked my UPS driver today if I could "return to sender" a box. He said he could not accept it but he sent me here, to my nearest UPS store. I came in here with my small box in MY colorful tote bag, which I put on the counter, with NO OTHER customers around me. The grouchy grey haired lady muttered; "We can't take it here without a return label" THIS I FULLY UNDERSTOOD and have no issue with. Before I was finished with my next sentence; "What if I ask the company to send me a return lab....." She literally walked away and started talking to a man who just walked in, left me to grab his delivery." THEN SHE GRABS MY TOTE BAG three inches from me, looks deep inside it and pushes it back to me. She never said hello, good bye, thanks for coming in, nothing. Is this acceptable behavior anywhere?? Is her life so miserable that life has worn out any basic human kindness from her soul? Funny, I walked next door to the dollar store after this interaction. The cashier was SO seriously sweet, we ended up chatting a few minutes (slow weekday w/no other customers around) about her allergies to tomatoes as I was buying sundried tomatoes. I said they are all water filters. Then she said the first box is a water filter, so the 2nd and 3rd boxes can't be water filter. I said they are all different boxes of the same water filter and going to the same destination. The woman with very dark possibly black hair was just fine. It was the other employee that is the problem. The shorter Caucasian lady, light hair and tattoos, is a nightmare. Just trying to drop off some Amazon packages with QR code's so there's no reason to be rude when they are not "correct". I haven't had a bad experience till now from any FedEx locations or any shippers but this UPS store was my first. The staff seem to be rude as I asked for the label to print out. They are old fashioned and asked to use the computer just to print the label which is $3/10 min. That was still fine with me but the height was when I asked them to seal tape the box as I forgot to do it. And they said as I am not paying for the shipping they will have to charge for the tape. Yes I had a shipping label then obviously I will not pay for the shipping so that does not make them to charge for the tape. It seems that the tape charge was more than the print charge. I am not crying about the $5 they charged, but it's all about customer service. My box was the tiniest of the box and they charged for the tape. That was something next level. I will avoid UPS in the future for sure. read more

I was always taught as a child about the 7 wonders of the world. Well folks, they lied. There are in fact 8 wonders of the world - the 8th being the redhead employee that works at this UPS store. She's quite literally the most unhelpful and miserable slab of human material I've ever come across in a customer service position. I came in today with a large car part and needed to determine which size box would contain it, so I ask her if I could see an actual box in a specific size as I'd need to compare it to the part. I ask to see an actual box the first time... Nothing. As if I had never asked. I wait, and politely ask again if I may see one. She begrudgingly goes to the back to get it and under her breath says "yeah if you'll pay for it". I'm sorry, what? I'm not paying for a box before knowing if it suits my purposes, that's why I'm asking to see it, and I've already explained I need to see the box to compare it to my part, it was pretty obvious I wasn't going to open it, tape it, or use the box. I just need to SEE IT. Massive attitude issue combined with passive aggression = grow up a little bit. Also, as l'm the only one in the store, I'm packaging my part she's just STARING at me. Even as I came in, same deal. Just blank rude stares. It's unreal. I had the right mind to stare back and just say "WHAT!?". Strictly for entertainment value, I'd happily forgo going to the bars on a Friday night with friends and instead go here so we could all gather and endure what is very likely to be the worst possible customer service on this side of the Mississippi. It's an EXPERIENCE. Also, never buy a box here. They have THREE sizes, that's it, and are crazy expensive. $15 for a 16x16x16 is bordering unbelievable. Want a 22x22x22? Prepare to fork over something like $23. Imagine one day finding a crisp hundred dollar bill on the floor and thinking of all the possibilities it could provide. A lovely watch, a stylish designer jacket, a wonderful expensive Italian dinner for two, drinks included, on Pier 44... Or 4 less than 2 sq. ft. sized boxes over here. K. I understand stores need to profit on their items, but I ant justify a 10x markup when you can easily buy the same box from the Home Depot or Walmart for $2. Quick shoutout to another lady though who I believe still works here, Mary I believe her name is. STELLAR service, kind, genuine, polite, helpful, really sweet lady, and very honestly the only reason I'd ever come back. I was so impressed about the great service they provide. I was here recently because I had to send a package to Spain, and they explained every single detail of their services, (cause, I dont usually ship anything) The price was reasonable, as it was an express international shipping. It took 2 business days to get to Granada, and I just couldn't believe it! My family called me to confirm they had just received the package and all I can say is thank you, guys! You saved me! I walked in this location on 3/22/2018 around 1130am to drop off an AT&T modem. The girl working there-a short, redhead chick (with a big ol' booty! )-seemed totally apathetic. You could tell that she hated her job. I'd even understand that sheay have been having a bad day; but you better make sure you don't project that crap on the customers! I was the only one who came in. NO GREETING WHATSOEVER. After dropping my modem off, I said: "Have a good day!" and she said absolutely nothing. You guys need better staff.
