A few days ago I had to send a package urgently. The location is great, there is enough parking in the plaza, when I went there were several clients, but fortunately the workers do their work quickly and responsibly so I did not have to wait too long, the employees who attended me were very friendly and did their job no problem. This review is way overdue, but I guess it's better late that never. This location is very convenient for me because I live in South San Jose off Cottle. I ship work related packages around once or twice a month, and every time I do I make sure that I come here. The store is located in decent size plaza, but I never have issue finding parking. The staff there is very friendly and helpful (especially Mary)! They always share shipping options with me, and are very honest about the approximate delivery time of the package (due to Covid). This is my favorite UPS store to come to just for the fact that the staff is very friendly, and they are always working quickly to service everyone. I've never had a problem coming here to drop off my packages. They deliver on time and give me the tracking number right away. I come here so often that the staff acknowledges me by name. This was my first and last time at this location. I can see why it has such bad ratings due to the lack of customer service. I don't know if it's society, if it's covid, or simply just people not giving a crap of customer service. I worked in retail most of my teenage years and even now as a professional I have to deal with customer service.. maybe not to the public directly but indirectly and because of it I do my best to try and relate and understand a person. Well Lupe was not into customer service at all at this location. Instead of being perhaps understanding at my frustration thwt im been charged for a strip of tape she was like "you can leave and come back" "or why are you mad I don't make the rules".. clearly you don't make the rules sweaty... otherwise you wouldn't be just a cashier but it is your job to ensure customer service and while I tried to explain that I knew it wasn't her but unfortunately she's the face representing the company it was just me venting to her.. she failed to understand that. She was defensive, she was rude, she was insensitive, she was dismissive and disrespectful. I understand that perhaps I shouldn't have unleashed my frustration at her but that doesn't give her the right to not be a good customer person. She could have handled this very differently and even tho I would have still being upset about the charge I would have walked away feeling heard instead of dismissed as she told me to leave and come back. I'm glad this isn't my normal ups location. I have never been treated like she did... this girl will have a hard time in jobs if she is always arguing and wanting to have the last word over someone of authority or the customer that well let's face it we aren't always right, however, the first rule in customer service is... the customer is always right. Sent my daughter a Apple Watch that was stolen but insured so I did a claim. $400 in 10/20/17 and to this day I have yet to receive my money from the owner of the UPS store. The check I found out was misplaced which is fine but the manager Brianna if I'm saying it correctly lied to me today saying that "we don't have anything yet!" I explained that I know the check is there and has been there for some time now and I want it! She then diverted and put Mary on the phone because she lied. Mary is the only reason I would consider staying with them. She is professional, nice and should be manager! How can you manage a place a flat out lie to your customers. I have been with them four years and pay good money to send and receive packages and mail at this place. I had to make a formal complaint to corporate just now to try to get this issue resolved. Poor service by management! If Mary is there you will have a good experience. I can't stand a dishonest person. No tolerance for it! All I needed was honesty and the solution. I Update: I finally received my check from the owner! I spoke in detail with Breanna and found out that she had reached out to the owner about the check! But I feel he shouldn't be protected by management for his lack of business professionalism! I have more insight on her at least reaching out to him. Came in last night, February 4 close to 7pm and the girl who was working failed to help me with my prepaid label - claiming that I needed to log into their computer system and print from the computer - trying to charge me $4 minimum vs sending my label to the store email for printing. She Also failed to help me use the printers that were on site. I Went to a competitor UPS store today off of Capitol who was happy to print my label and post it to my box for me without hesitation. Thankful for their honesty and customer service. Please put your customers first and they will come back. And be honest- not lazy. read more

Went here to pick up my package that was initially supposed to be delivered at my address and since I was not available during the delivery I went online and changed the address to this pick up point. The whole experience was super quick and easy, however I had sent my husband to pick up my package but they didn't give it to him although their website says that if the package owner can't collect it someone on his/her behalf can collect it by giving the address proof and tracking number. Maybe due to security reasons they didn't give my package to him so I had to go personally to pick it up. read more

I rarely write review, but my experience this morning at 10;25am, 3/6/2022 at this UPS store was mind blowing and horrific that triggers this review. I stopped by to return two items to Amazon, have two returned codes which were emailed to me by my daughter. The attendant, an Indian girl in her twenties I think had such bad attitude; when I told her that I am returning the two items to Amazon. she asked if I have the "RN" code which I assumed the "return code" and showed her the code on my mobile phone; she then said which package is this code for? I told her I don't know, may be she can tell when she scanned it and the description should show. She said "no" it wouldn't. I said I never had to know when returning items to Kohls because once scanned the description will show. She stood at her counter, having her hand supporting her chin and staring at me in contempt and said "I am telling you that it won't" and wouldn't do anything. At that point, I have no choice but to pick up my boxes, and leave, I said "OMG, this is so bad that I would never return here" as I walked out. Whom ever the owner of this store is doesn't give a rats "bleep " about customer service . He allows those crass employees to be as rude as they can be . Located in a high crime area . When you go in there, they look so annoyed that you even entered their domain and irked that you interrupt their employee pa wow conversations. Its crazy , i tried to do an amazon return and the lady was so rude with her tone and attitude. I ask her where to put my amazon return because it was a big one and she smirked and stared at where i m supposed to put it down assuming that id know where to place it. I even apologized why i chose this store it was only because it was the nearest amazon drop off from my home . I also had a return with a slightly open shipment box and they said they would charge to use their tape for $3. (Highway robbery) Then I complained how rude they were, the way they communicate with their customers as if they didn't want to be there . I reiterated to them that they are in the customer service business and that they should act appropriately. Because i had to pay the 3 highway robbery dollars i started looking for my apple pay in my phone they accused me of filming them and they actually called the cops by phone and the lady named Lupe ( or so she said her name was) grabbed my phone from where she was standing to where I was over the counter and looked at my videos on my phone even on the deleted videos on my phone , finding nothing , no recording at all . Wt....This is unacceptable, barbaric attitude . Why does the owner allow this kind of behavior??? WARNING!!! Read before going to this location! I Brought a package I needed to return to adidas store. My mistake was I did not ask for a receipt. When the adidas department received my package it was empty! My shoes was not in the box!!! I had a bad feeling when I brought my package in. On the front of my return label has the Adidas department address and I was worried they'll see what I was returning and I was right! I took a big L for this one as I never had to deal with anything like this before. It was an Ultraboost adidas shoes that was around $180!!! Not to mention all the employees were extremely informative and handled my package with care. I was hesitant as I have no experience shipping items so far away but they were truly reassuring and made sure that my package got there safe and on time. Short blond/ginger hair colored lady here with tattoos is is extremely rude, lazy and not helpful whatsoever. My brother came in today to pick up his package and waited 2 minutes just for a lady to come to help. My brother gave her the tracking number and was told that she was unable to locate the package in the room. My brother told her that according to the UPS tracking confirmation online that the package was delivered and asked nicely to double check again. She gave attitude, went to the back for less than 10 seconds and said the package wasn't there. My brother noticed there were a couple of boxes on the side that were not looked at and asked if she can check those. The lady replied, "you know what? You're welcome to look around the store yourself". My brother was astonished by her horrible attitude but only cared to get his package. So he went around the store including the back to look around. When he finally went through the boxes near the front, there was his box. Not only was it a huge Amazon box, but it looked like it had been opened with the tape ripped off and put back on. He didn't care what happened and confirmed with the lady that he found the box and she replied, "ok great, now get out". Moral of this story is- SHE NEEDS TO GET FIRED. If you hate your job then quit! Don't give people attitudes, ruin their day and not be helpful whatsoever. I'm pretty sure others better deserve this paying job than this lady that's just a waste of time and space. read more

The girl that works here really hates her job and it definitely shows. She always appears to be hiding in the back room sleeping. I only do drop of here so it never really bother me until recently, I needed my labels taped to the box since I ran out of tape. She just randomly put tape over the piece of paper with edges exposed and tossed it in the pile. When I asked are you sure that's not going to be a problem and she said don't worry it'll get there. I have never in my life experienced such a human being lack of basic manner/compassion, much less customer service in any stores. I was moving a very heavy box into the store using the dolly. The store was a mess and piled with boxes so there was no room to maneuver and I kept hitting stuff like the garbage can, not only the lady stood by to watch and did nothing to help to fulfill her basic duty(I was the only customer at the time so she wasn't that busy), but in such embarrassing situation she even asked me to lift it up to the scale to weight it knowing fully how heavy it was! She said it was customer's duty to put it on scale and refused to help me lift it together. Eventually I told her the weight of 60 lbs was already on the box label since it was amazon generated so it was reliable. I am aware that not everyone enjoys their job, but this level of numbness is quite appalling. read more

I was up here in San Jose for the afternoon for some business, crazy the places they'll send you when you work for a big business. I needed to send out some paperwork overnight and they helped out really nicely. The two gals said they were under new management and I thought they were very helpful even though they didn't have all they steps quite in perfect order. They tried hard and had good attitudes but the steps in all of their operations for sure need some help. I came to UPS this morning to see what size boxes they had as I wanted to get my wedding dress shipped to the east coast for a 2nd wedding party we're having. I also had a ginormous box at home from Bed Bath & Beyond I was thinking about using and brought in the dimensions. Bernadette was really helpful and showed me the different large boxes they had an gave me an estimate on cost with insurance and an estimated weight for the box I had. I wondered whether I should use my box or one of theirs and she advised if there is lots of space left over in the box after I put in the dress, I should probably use a smaller one. But she told me either way I could bring in the dress and box and she'd pack it for me and advise which one to use. i thought that was a great deal so I went home, got my stuff and returned to the store. She gave me the pricing for my box vs their's and I ended up buying the UPS box since mine was beaten up a bit and the cost was only $5 different. She packed the dress and my shoes in the box and voila! it will be there in a week. I'm sure UPS costs more than USPS but they are far more helpful and I like having a tracking # so I can see where my dress is dancing over the states. Thank you Bernadette! P.S. To make matters worse every copy machine I went to did not work so I wasted a ton of gas driving around town. I noticed this ups store and decided to see If they could help and was amazed a place like this existed and I didn't know about it!
