Usually I have great service doing my Amazon returns here and they were always processed promptly. But the last I was there, not so much. When I arrived, there was a person ahead of me that was being assisted by the female front associate. Which that same front associate directed me to use the self service station across the counter. Don't get me wrong, the self service was efficient. I just don't know how or when the rest of the return process goes once you drop the package in the basket in the station. I say that because in the Amazon return status, it kept saying to drop off my package to this UPS location. Normally if I did it at the front desk, return status would already be in process within a day or two. But this last time took about a week. read more

Trying to find this place was a journey. It was super hidden especially coming from the 680 South Alcosta exit and coming from the Dollar Tree side. It's literally tucked in a corner between H&R Block and Peking Delight. There's a super large parking lot so I easily found parking but trying to find it....goodness. I thought I was going crazy. It took less than 2 minutes to go in and out to drop off an Amazon package return. Folks there were quite focused and just did what they needed to do which is fine. I also just wanted to come in and out. I got my receipt and I was off on my merry way. Convenient when I'm in the area to do a drop off also I just lucked out as it was the afternoon and there was only like 2 other people in the store. read more

The UPS Store - Outside - Shipping Centers Near Me - San Ramon, California

This UPS is located in the Gateway Center. This is a big and busy plaza, so parking may be a bit hectic. I was able to snag a parking right out front, as someone was leaving at the exact time I was driving up, so it was convenient not having to lug multiple packages through the parking lot from my car to the store. They have a time-saving kiosk that is supposed to make returns and drop-offs easier. I had a few different Amazon returns, so I thought it would had been way easier to go through this way, instead of waiting in line to be helped by the employee. It was not and I was struggling, but I did not want to ask for help because they it looked like there only 1 person working at the time, so I did not want to be a bother, but the employee ended up coming over to help assist me anyway, which I did appreciate his help without me having to ask him. I tried to scan all 3 of my returns in one transaction, but it only let me do 2 together. I did the no box / no label option, so there were bags to pack my items in and a printer to print your return label(s). I had 1 return in a plastic bag to make it easier to keep everything in that particular return together and the employee insisted I was able to return my items in that bag by just putting the return label on the plastic bag - I was a bit hesitant, but did so anyway - hopefully there will not be any issues and I am able to get my refund with no problem. read more

I was very nervous mailing a laptop to my son on the east coast. The UPS tracking site said the package would be delivered via UPS ground on Saturday. I shared with the owner/manager Dev that my son would be out of town and that it needed to be delivered on Monday. Dev said he would hold the package and assured me that he would do everything possible behind the scenes to have it delivered on Monday. Couldn't believe it when my son said he received it on Monday!! The UPS tracking email I received from the store was accurate and I received a confirmation email when it was delivered. Don't go here. Please go to the other UPS store near NOB HILL and the other one near CHIPOTLE. This ups branch is just money hungry with small fees. With all other UPS branches they seal up my box if needed. I needed mybox to seal, and she was going to charge me 99 cents for a TAPE FEE. I said "oh hell no". I couldn't figure out how a UPS store could have so many low star reviews. Now I get it. The customer service is terrible. I believe part of it is that they have too many things they are offering. I was waiting for the lady in front of me to have her finger prints done. I finally asked how much longer I was going to have to wait. He said that I could go shop if I wanted. I told him no thank you. He finally stopped the finger printing (the lady had to keep making changes) and did what I came there for. Took 2 minutes or less. Another lady came in and said can I leave this here? The customer guy said yes. She said it's ok? He really did say-ma'am I've already answered you. My mouth dropped. Here's my suggestion-get William some custom service skills ASAP. If he had communicated to me or prioritized what he was doing then maybe my review would be different. My other suggestion-get more than one person to help in such a busy store or something like finger printing if it takes such a long time to do have set hours for it. I hope you guys get it together. Such a convenient location but I won't be back. ***6/18/17*** Since I can't reply to the comment made by the UPS store (obviously by Williams himself)....my wait was over 15 minutes which is why I asked how long it would be. The lady never gave up her spot. You helped me while she was reviewing the document on the computer for the 5th or more time. And you can try and justify whatever it is about the other lady but we both know it's not a long standing joke. When you go with a printed label to a UPS store, the least you expect is for the employee to greet you with a smile, and take the shipment, put the label into the plastic envelope and give you a receipt. Sounds simple and straightforward, doesn't it? Alas, it isn't so much at this UPS store. I have visited over 50 UPS stores and have generally found extremely pleasing people; this guy wouldn't even put his phone down. Instead, he has the phone on speaker and continues to talk to his friend (who BTW kept saying - I think you are busy, and this guy kept saying ... No, I can talk) with a customer in front of you!!! So, without uttering a word, he hands in the plastic pouch, and asks me to put the label in the pouch. When you don't have the courtesy to greet a customer and use your hands to direct him what to do - that's RUDE (I read the reviews here, and that's a word used before) I generally don't give a low rating if it's a one off. Everyone has bad days, but this happened to me more than once. Last time, the guy was sitting inside his room, wouldn't come out or tell me that he will be attending to me in X minutes; no acknowledgement of customer at all. Goes without saying, I ain't going to this UPS store anytime soon. Unsurprisingly, all UPS stores in San Ramon area have a better rating (and from personal experience, they are waaayyyy better). I have visited the customer service location on Norris Canyon, that's a bigger location but the employees there are so friendly. The FedEx location on Camino Ramon even packed the box for me, even though it was a UPS label (I went there by mistake). Wow, that's customer service from Fedex! read more

I got here and waited patiently while they were doing another livescan to be completed. Once that customer was done, I was next. The lady who was helping the previous person doing the live scan had asked her coworker Ben to switch with her to do my live scan. I didn't mind that she was helping others prior to me as I was waiting for Ben to finish up the customer he had who was sending a check. Once he became available, instead of taking my scan next, he decided to help the person that had just walked in the door to shred some items. I don't understand why you wouldn't take the next customer? Will never go to this location again! Terrible customer service! read more

Williams was late to open the store along with all services on 8/9/18, thus making me late for work. I would've gone to another location should I had known this would've been an issue. I had called this morning to track my package I sent on 8:9/18 and was greeted without any sort of phone etiquette, and was abruptly hung up on. Maybe I'm just salty being from the hospitality industry but that's not how I learned to treat a customer... I won't be coming back to this location--maybe not UPS for that matter. read more

I really hate to write this. I always support family owned businesses when I can, as I grew up with family owned businesses. I went into your location by Lucky's today for a passport photo. We are in the middle of a very strong variant of COVID with another Omicron surge. I knew I would have to take my mask off (I have been diligent and masks DO work and I have not had Covid nor do I intend to get it) however, your son was not masked. He talks to hundreds of people every day, has already had Covid twice and said "It wasn't fun" and now I'm supposed to be unmasked while he is unmasked in my airspace to take my picture. He was kind enough to offer to put a mask on, but didn't even have one in the store. He then said I could go to your other location (which I am well aware of as a 32 year resident of this community) because you will probably have a mask. I find this abhorrently ridiculous that you serve customers and do not require masks out of respect of not spreading Covid-19 to your customers. Your son was polite but polite doesn't keep me from being hospitalized with Covid. I opted to go to USPS in Dublin instead, and guess what? Both of their employees were appropriately masked. I got my passport photo and felt safe taking my mask off to get it. The reality is, masks do work, but you have to actually wear them to have them work. I am sad, I had so much hope for your new business...but I won't ever go to either location again as this is a blatant disregard for the health of your customers. p.s. Pretty awful customer service. I've been here several times and every time I go here the one thing that always stands out is the terrible customer service. A couple examples: I came to drop off a package and the man working the counter didn't even acknowledge me, just gave me a look to come to the counter and continued a full on personal conversation on the phone. Other customers came in and he didn't care, just continued a very personal conversation in a tiny office where everyone could hear everything. Another time I came to drop off a pre-labeled package that just needed a scan. (As best practice, when I drop off these pre-labeled packages I have them scan it and print me out a tracking #) Scanning the package + printing out a tracking # usually takes less then 20 sec. I told the lady at the counter that I just wanted a scan and a label but she decided to just make me wait for her to up wrap up w/ the customer in front of me who was doing a Notary. Instead of just quickly scanning my pkg and letting me be on my way, she had me wait a full 20 min for her to finish w that notary customer. Like really? You couldn't just quickly scan me in and get me out? Nope rather make the customer wait. If you don't mind bad customer service and unprofessional service reps then come here! read more

I recently needed some notary services and went to the UPS store. It has been bought by a new family. The person serving there was very knowledgeable about the process for which I had come. He asked me if its passport renewal and gave me tips on what to make sure to submit my application succesfully. I had completely missed some of the things he said. When I came back home and checked the site again, I found out he was right. We had done this process in the past for my family at some store and it had taken 3 hours. But here I was done in just a few minutes. I so appreciate that he bothered to give me tips to ensure my money and time is not wasted and also notarized my documents pretty fast. read more

Incredibly rude and unprofessional! I am not in the habit of posting one star reviews, but my experience today was shocking: I brought in an Amazon return. I had the label but no tape to seal the pouch. The owner was there alone and on his cell, there were no other customers. He remained in the back and said just to leave it on the scale. I said I needed a tracking slip. While still on the phone he came over and scanned it. I pointed out that it needed to be taped. He said "I'll get to it later, just leave it" and walked away. I didn't feel comfortable so I stood there a moment not saying anything at which point he said "If you don't trust us, then don't come here." I couldn't believe it! I will NEVER go to that location again even if I have to drive farther. read more

I've been using this store for my holiday shipping to the east coast the last 3-5 years. I like the convenience of the location and if you time it right, you dont have to wait long at all. William has always been nice and helpful, but this time I seriously wonder if I got overcharged. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT PRIOR TO LEAVING! I should've checked my receipt before I left but I was rushing back to work. I had a 10% off shipping AND packaging and on my receipt I only see the 10% applied to one shipping, the 'cheapest' one of the 2 even. And the charges for packing up my boxes and bubble wrap arent exactly clear either on the receipt. But..he did do a great job packing up my stuff as usual, as I didnt have the time myself to hunt down boxes and bubble wrap myself (I will for sure make the effort going forward though). So I will let it go this time in the spirit of the holidays and because I'm going to assume William did charge me correctly (minus the discount part but I'm not going to go back and argue over $10 extra). The 5 stars are for Christine, I walked in today after work stressing out because I have to get my passport renewal. This is the first time I've had to do it myself (my parents did it for me when I was younger. This is my first time as an adult). I walked in and Christine was nice and welcoming. She took my passport photo & when I mentioned that I was stressed since it was my first time, she went over everything with me, assisted me with whatever questions I had and helped calm my nerves. She didn't have to go out of her way to do anything for me but take my photo, which was the only reason I went in. My passport will be going out today and hopefully I'll be receiving it soon.
