So as far as postal packaging places go, it is pretty nice here. I have gone to others where you have to wait forever because there is only one person working there, or even if there are many people, there is only one person who is actually working. The employees here are kind and courteous here and very prompt. You get in and out pretty quickly and everything is quite easy. Overall I've had good experiences here. Wow... what you read here about the poor customer service is accurate. Had a terrible experience with a girl named "Diana" who first of all was wearing a shirt that was so dirty and disheveled (with food stains etc) that she almost looked homeless, and then gave me such a huge attitude about pretty much everything. I arrived 5 minutes before they were closing, so fair enough, they wanted to get out, but technically they were still open and yet she made me walk around the back to the back door. Then when we were sorting out my shipment she messed up the postage and ended up charging me more - at that point "it was too late" to change it so I was forced to either walk out with my package or pay the overage. Mistakes are made, I get it, but coupled with her nasty attitude this was probably the worst experience I've ever had in a UPS store. When I asked for her manager's info she laughed in my face and handed me one of their business cards. If you're that unhappy at your job - quit! read more

I tried to send an insured package through this location. Please be aware that they will not accept these. They asked if I wanted to wait for a driver to come by so I can collect his signature before passing the package over and I said no. I don't have time to wait around for an indeterminable amount of time. This is not the fault of this location that they will not accept these directly. The reason for my 2 star rating is the attitude of the people who work here. They are not pleasant individuals. I find if you go down further on Santa Monica Boulevard in West LA, the UPS drop-off stores there have employees who are much more pleasant to engage with. read more

The people that work here are disgustingly rude. When they had to hold a package here they called and harassed my wife 2x a day even on Sunday's. It was a broken mirror. We couldn't accept it because it was broken. This was pain in the ass enough, but now I have competing inspections and some super rude store manager harassing my wife?? I went to this particular Ups on two occasions, once to get a document notarized , the woman who took care of me was rude and cold, on the second occasion I returned to Ups to return my Direct Tv Cable Equipment with a letter from att specifying the return instructions to Ups. My experience is limited to just dropping off a few things to be mailed and making copies, but they have always been nice and helpful. Sometimes these places, for some reason, have people working with not so great attitudes, such as the Fedex place on Wilshire a few blocks down. So I have had a PO box at this location for almost 3 years. In that time they have lost several packages, cards and letters. The packages are the most upsetting since they always make excuses and tell me things like "It happens" with a shrug and then I have to figure out what happened. I keep getting mail from the previous holder despite repeated attempts to stop this. The last time I spoke to them on this they assured me that *this time* they would honor my request and stop putting this person's mail in my PO box. They didn't. I now drop those letters off in the mailbox outside with Return to Sender because they are incapable of doing something so basic. This is where I like to state I pay them services like this so it is not my responsibility to deal with someone else's mail. But what has tipped this for me, and made me realize this place is the worst, is that they last time I spoke with them about renewal was right as Covid hit and I said to them I was not able to get there due to this pandemic and could I just put this on hold for now. The answer was no. Now I have been charged over $300 for basically nothing. So why am I giving these leaches my money? Poor business all around. read more

I would not recommend using their notary service. I went in to get some documents notarized and the notary refused to do it. I had the exact same thing done before at another UPS store. Being on a deadline I called the State Department in Sacramento to inquire whether there was some reason she would not do this. They asked for her commission number (#2132400) and indicated there was no reason that she should refuse to do what I was asking, but that it was unfortunately up to her. When I explained this to the notary, I believe her name was Upeck, she got confrontational and said that even if they said she should, she wasn't go to do it anyway. I asked the manager why she wouldn't notarize my specific documents when the State Department said she was qualified to do so. He just suggested I get them notarized elsewhere. I had to drive four miles to get them completed at another UPS store who had no issue with it but missed my international delivery cutoff time. When I told them what had happened, they suggested that she may only notarize basic documents to cover her behind. If you have any important documents to be notarized or are under a time crunch I would definitely not take a chance there. read more

So all people with disabilities that use UPS in Santa Monica never trust them to deliver your packages when you pay extra for money that have it delivered at a pacific time and they don't follow through on their deliveries or promises I paid extra to have packages delivered at the noon hour for my business yesterday and they did not deliver at the time requested then they had me waiting until 8 at night knowing that they were going to be close ups still me after 25 years of using them for good service so from now on do not use ups for Saturday deliveries anymore you said x DHL or priority mail as a member of The Americans with Disabilities Act use priority mail DHL or FedEx they are a lot more reliable than ups and if you have a disability and you need something delivered don't trust UPS anymore read more

I have been a box holder for some time and found a coupon for 15% off. The ad is in my iPhone as a discount to Auto Club members. The owner refused to honor the coupon and said it is not her ad despite the fact that the address of the store is clearly displayed. She even stated that she has no intention of calling the Auto Club to clear it up. I am appalled by the owner's behavior. Not to honor an ad in print is false advertising. I will not be renewing my box nor doing business at this store any longer. Woe girl Eaaaaaaasy. Let's see. The lady with the short hair/glasses is the only one I've spoke to the 2x I've been there. First time I was there with my friend, and the box I had was completely ready to ship, and I needed to use a strip of tape. They charge 50 cents for just a tiny strip. Cheap but ok. The lady was just rude about it. Hard to explain, she just kinda hates. 2nd time, the other day. I was on the phone with a big online retailer who changed return shipping lables for me. Being that I was in the parking lot of UPS and ready to ship, they said no problem, UPS can just be forwarded your new shipping label email and PRINT IT OUT for you no problem! STOKED! I don't have to drive to kinkos! I took it inside and was like I know you charge for tape so I'll need a strip, but would you mind printing out the shipping label, they said you guys do that no problem. The lady starred at me and said, "you could have printed it out at home." I don't have a printer at home jerkoff (I wish I said jerkoff). I said the retailer said you can provide that. She said we dont do that here (but in a straight condescending face/tone if you can imagine). I laughed and said, "stingy!" jokingly. She summoned her condescending tone, "business." After reporting this incident to the corporate headquarters, the owner refunded the extra $12.50 that I was charged. Although, she also included a letter, blaming her employee for the over charge . This was just not true. And if it was true, she had the opportunity to resolve the matter when I brought it to her attention. Really disappointing experience. I recommend not using this location. Their incompetence will probably lose your package. Rosa will probably spear head the incompetence for you, with anything but a helpful attitude. Robert did not make a professional decision on this one. She is one of the rudest managers I have ever worked with. UPS must be proud. After being told that I could not have a refund, even though I was completely lied to several different times. After filing a complaint, come to find out, IT WAS actually the staffs fault that my package did not reach its location. The next time Rosa or any staff member continues to lie to you and say that Ooh, we dont control the mail. Ask first if they did their job right. I sent my fiancé in to ship a small item for me (about the size of a 3ring binder) and when I got home she had a receipt for $33. My issue isn't the expensive shipping, had it been me at the ups store I would have chosen another shipping option than ups because your employee seemed to only know one option to ship. The issue is the way in which everything was handled, my fiancé is not familiar with shipping so she wouldn't no any shipping options. The item is a 11x16 inch book with a hard cover and a 1/8 plastic shield around it. Very durable! She went in there with the idea that someone would be able to help her ship the item in an efficient inexpensive way. The employee said it was a delicate item, which it wasn't, and needed 2+ inches of padding around the entire thing and a box that was almost 10 times the size of the book. She took no effort to explain anything to her, and pushed her toward shipping the item with all the way she wanted saying that was the only option. When my fiancé gave me the receipt, I had her call and cancel the shipping. It is close to my house so I went to the store to get somewhat of an explanation. The lady she dealt with remembered the transaction and immediately told the other two employees that she would take care of me. (And they seemed so nice) When she was done with the other customer she got my box. I asked her why she felt the need to wrap it this way she told me in a very rude tone "that is the only option, it's delicate". I have done a lot of shipping and I know that is not the only option. I could send the thing in a shipping container if I want, point is there are options. When the other employee was opening the box for me he told me "we could have shipped this for way cheaper" right in front of the lady that was helping me originally so they got into a little argument real quick and I took it out of the box I held it up for her with its hard plastic cover she looked at me with no response. It was very obvious that she took advantage of my fiancé and shipped it in the most expensive way possible. She seemed to not know what she was doing so I said I would like to ship my item elsewhere and get a refund from their ups store. Unfortunately the world works in funny ways and I was only issued a refund for 22.04 not 33 because the massive box they chose to put it in was $7. I have since put it in a padded envelope and shipped it for 4.83. Sweet! read more

NOT CARING ABOUT CUSTOMER....DISRESPECTFUL.....ROBBOT LIKE EMPLOYEES!!!! If there were negative stars for rating, I would have rated this store a NEGATIVE 5 STARS. The service is horrible and the attitude even worse. I stay silent, she then goes in the back, comes back, and say there is this paper, but you have to pay $1 for it....$1 for a piece of paper to cover a filthy chair that they must have found somewhere in the alley next to them...I pointed out to a piece of shipping plastic hanging aounrd close to a desk and asked how about that? A woman who was complaining about the price of a padded envelope inspired me to come home and write this review, so here it is: I've been a box holder in this store for years, and I come in to ship stuff about once a week. I have received nothing but great service from the staff at this store. A lot of the time I hear people complaining about the prices, which aren't even that bad to begin with. To the average Joe they may seem high, but trust me... it is SO WORTH IT to pay a little bit extra. You get what you pay for. I ship expensive stuff, but at least I know that my package 1) won't get lost 2) Will be delivered on time 3) was properly packaged and 4) is insured (and a legit claim will be paid out if necessary). Every time I go to the post office I half expect the woman to give me the "talk to the hand cuz the face don't give a damn" routine. The bottom line is that USPS workers aren't held as accountable for their services as the UPS store is. If you wanna torture yourself at the post office, go right ahead... it's just a few doors down. Have fun standing in line with all of the Santa Monica bums. And bring a book... it'll be a while. Every time I come into this store I am out in less than 10 minutes. And the best part is that the manager is in the store and she cares! If you talk to you about your concerns she will totally help you out. read more

How this store continues to do business is beyond imagination. After much intolerable behavior on their part- which is remarkably similar to everyone else's poor experiences. I finally had to change my mailbox to somewhere I wasn't dreading going in everyday. Well, since then Sherry has continued to scrawl in black sharpie ink on my mail-including birthday cards- "no longer here!!!!" Upsetting my auntie and also screwing with my DMV renewal. I filed a change of address, but the DMV can be forgetful and probably some of my mail has simply disappeared now. I regret ever setting foot in that awful store and encourage every person to take your business elsewhere. read more

Don't waste your time at this UPS store, UNLESS you absolutely have to, and expect RUDE "service" ALONG with NON-DISCLOSURE of markups on U.S. Postage stamps. I have used this store to drop off pre-paid UPS items that I either printed the shipping label at home, or were returns where I was sent a return label. Although they do accept the packages, they are not overly friendly or polite. They are right next door to the Post Office. Literally next door! When i was in dropping off a package, I noticed they had a sign indicating that they sold postage stamps. I bought 3 booklets of the "Forever" stamps. I paid by credit card, and as there were people behind me, I did not look at the receipt until I got home. I noticed that they charged over a DOLLAR MORE PER booklet, than the face value. When I called, I got a rude employee, who stated that EVERYTHING they sell is MARKED UP, as other stores do. I mentioned that other stores I have bought stamps from, such as the supermarkets, banks, and even the mail service I use, that is several blocks away don't charge a "surcharge" on U.S. Postage stamps. I asked for the manager, and spoke with Sherry. When I complained about the male employee and his behavior, she became very nasty when I suggested that it MIGHT be nice if they would have some wording on their notice that they sell postage stamps, indicating that there is a "Service Fee" or Surcharge. She became irate when I suggested that customers be notified EITHER on their sign that says they sell U.S. Postage Stamps, or to tell customers at the time of purchase. I have since found another UPS Store, not far, on Wilshire & 26th that is both courteous and polite. read more

I come to this UPS Store several times a week. The employees are always super kind and helpful, and there are plenty of people working so you're never stuck waiting in line for more than a minute or two. Also, there is a free parking lot in the back, which makes this location extremely easy to go to. Great greeting card selection as well. read more
