2.5 stars. Super long line with not much traction. To be fair the hold up was an indecisive customer who was arguing over the price of shipping and asked for stuff to be recalculated different ways who was already arguing when I hopped in line. Before I got there who knows but was there for a solid 15-20 while she was figuring stuff out. The notary was doing documents with a couple which also took a while. There was a third employee who came out, saw the line and told customers to use the kiosk for packages and drop off and then left to the back of the store. All of us required a transaction that required a person. So we just waited. Huge props to the employee who dealt with the difficult client- his patience and customer service was stellar. The employee or manager who left a line out the door while her coworkers were clearly busy and not able to assist the line not cool. Not my first choice of UPS but in a pinch will try this location again. read more

Excellent customer service at this location. I have been to many UPS stores and the one in Scotts Valley is one of the best! The staff is always courteous and incredibly helpful, knowledgable and ready to assist with anything I need. I drive from Boulder Creek and I could choose other options, but I know I can trust these guys. read more

My UPS store is #0833. I go there for everything, the reason being is the line of customers could be out the door yet I've never been in there longer than 15-20 mins. I usually have a question as well as most however I've never felt rushed or that employees wouldn't be bothered to spend more time with me if needed. I dropped of a pre-labelled package at the Scotts Valley UPS Store on Monday, 2 day express shipping. 5 days later the tracking still shows "Drop Off" as the status. That tells me that the package never left the store on a UPS truck - if it had, wouldn't it have been scanned and the tracking data updated??? From there it would have gone to Santa Cruz or San Jose, and get scanned again when it was unloaded from the truck. To me this means the package was stolen. It's too big and heavy to be misplaced. The store manager refuses to help. How can anyone trust UPS when something like this happens? I guess the next step is to file a police report? read more

This spot is my go to for all Amazon returns. They are always well staffed and the workers are always very helpful and nice. They do lots of little extras too like printing out a label for you or supplying extra tape on a package for you. They also have cute greeting cards by the line while you wait. At 6:15 pm tonight, Friday, I called ahead and told the man who answered the phone that we were 10 minutes away and asked them to please wait for us. He hung up on me. Then, I arrived at the door at exactly 6:25 pm, and an elderly couple was already at the door. The lights were off, the inside security gate was already pulled down, and there was a young man there on the cashier computer. The elderly couple had already pulled on the door and discovered it was locked. They then knocked. The man inside looked at us, then looked inside the store at someone else and did not respond to us on the outside of the door beyond that. I realize we were coming at the end of their day on a Friday. But, they had already shut everything down before we even arrived at 6:25 pm, and they are supposed to be open until 6:30 pm. And it is the Friday before Christmas, and many people need to ship Christmas gifts last minute. This was incredibly infuriating to say the least. read more

Pros: The employees are pleasant and attentive. It's a small office in a strip mall and we use it due to living in a very rural area where the official mailbox for our address is far from the house and near a heavily traveled road. Selected the office due to reviews and ability to keep our packages safe. In dealing with this issue, they seemed genuinely concerned and discussed the issue with me. Cons: The system for managing packages leaves a lot to be desired. Have only used the facility for 7 months and have had two instances where I was assured something was not received or had been received and signed for, but we had not picked it up. Both were found later after we had done work to track them. The first was not a big issue but the second contained Christmas gifts and items that belonged to my deceased father. I was assured that I had signed for the package and picked it up, but the package received that day was nothing to do with this shipment. They failed to check in something correctly. They made a note and said the store manager would call me. (This never happened). Today I stopped by to pick up other items. I was handed the missing gift along with two other expected items. My mother and sister cried over the thought of these items disappearing. Over a week later they show up (were found). Have come to expect the accuracy is hit or miss. Will review our contract as it expires. It costs too much for the level of accuracy in their procedures and the responsiveness from management. (For shipping clarity, this package was shipped from a UPS store on the East Coast to this UPS store in the hopes that it would be secure.) read more

This UPS Store has always been great, but when my father passed away and I needed to send some rather odd items to locations all over the world to other family members, Shen Thomas was amazing. He was insightful, knowledgeable, very friendly and did an excellent job packing and getting numerous packages safely to their destinations. I regret that I had to come to this location vs. the postal annex in the first place. the store is packed at peak times - clearly not following social distancing and covid safe capacity limits. And the "manager" is INCREDIBLY RUDE. I dropped a package as a return that got rerouted, EMPTY, to my house. This is, apparently, because they make all returns to Amazon in a plastic bag (if this is the case then why return an empty cardboard box to my home w/ plastic wrap that wasn't there in the first place---seems redundant and inefficient and wasteful to me). I was not listened to, hung up on and then rudely addressed. This store (and UPS as a whole) is a disaster. Stay away and just go to to postal annex. Filthy. Rude. Disorganized. Crowded. Gross. IF ITS IMPORTANT, DO NOT FAX FROM HERE! In the past, 61 page fax of legal documents. 60 pages were confirmed. I couldn't tell what page, obviously, was missing. I asked to re-fax. Told by counter clerk, "What's wrong, almost all of it was sent!" Then got cussed out for demanding it all be resent. Fax'd an another legal document today. Fax machine didn't grab all pages and confused matter with government agency, by re-faxing the whole thing! Save yourself the frustration! read more

I have been to this ups store in the morning and the empoyees always seem to be on thier phones or just not helping customers. But since i have been coming in after work to do my mailing I have been very happy with the service. Jake and Amy always are welcoming and happy to help. The Manager guy is so rude. He treats his employees very bad along with the customers. Last i was in asking about having some menu made. The nice guy at counter asked the manager the so called "print guy" about pricing and how long it would take. He snapped at him pretry much called his employee dumb. Been going there for about 7 years. Never any problems until today when some young dude tried to charge me almost $7 for one black and white print and 1 minute on the computer. After asking several times, the manager refused to give me the breakdown for the charges. I walked out with the packages and mailed them elsewhere. Great experience today - shoutout to Kevin! I barely ever review but I actually enjoy when I have to go to the UPS store because I know it's not going to be a stressful experience. I've always had positive experiences with the staff that I've engaged with in the past. I see some unfortunate reviews here and I can agree that I have been witness to some negative interactions between unhelpful staff (whose names I don't know) and frustrated customers. But the unhelpful people tend to filter out. I've always been really happy with my experiences here - even when there's a long line (like during the holidays), the staff are working hard and in a really good mood. read more

I have to eat ALL OF THE CROW on this issue. First: The UPS Store. The receiver of the musical instruments on the other end RAVED at how exceptionally thoroughly instructions were followed. Paying somebody $23 / package to wrap instruments worth aggregately $35k between them, and having the receiver, a dealer in aforementioned instruments, who sees dozens to hundreds pass through her store, rave about high quality and preciseness of the packaging job, is about the best deal that I've heard of in any business lately, and the best job performing it. I would've definitely liked a bit more clarity on shipping times, and expectations, and now I know to set -MY- expectations appropriately in advance. Second: UPS. They're f*cked. The labor force is under misery presently. I knew it was bad, but I reached out and did a little bit of asking, and it's infinitely worse than I thought. They did pull the rabbit out of the hat this time, though. They must be credited. So there we have it. Both the UPS Store location and UPS, through whom my packages were sent, knocked it out of the park. I am thrilled. read more

This review is only for the walk-in notary service pricing. The employees are fine and the notary, Brittany, is wonderful. I wanted to put this out here because the prices are not posted anywhere - not on the store nor online. The notary services here cost $15 per signature, which is the regular rate set by the state. However, this UPS Store charges $10 per witness signature in addition. The one star is because this is not standard practice and other places such as Postal Annex and AAA do not charge for witness signatures. So if you have a document that requires two witnesses per page times many pages, this can add up to an exorbitant amount compared to the $0 found elsewhere. I paid this at the time because I had no idea and assumed every other notary does this but come to find out no one else does and I just got ripped off. read more

These people-- are the best!! They are ALWAYS busy, yet always well staffed. They offer so many things you never know how long the wait could be when there is one. We have a PO BOX but use them for random things at times too (like, notary). Thomas & honestly, EVERYONE is always helpful and they don't rush you or make you feel like you're supposed to know "everything" already (unlike the local Post Office) DANG IT- was hoping not to compare them to across the street because it's just all-the-way different.
