The terrible, rude staff, they did not honor price, overcharged based on weight. Just liars don't go there! The owner was so rude he sent a public scolding, not honoring old pricing from just a few days ago- no one greeted me but the "regulars" get all of the good treatment. Just rude, don't go there! for any reason! Go to other places-- and the items weighed less than the weight as I had weighed them on the same scale BEFORE he showed up - he was happy to overcharge! After reading all of these reviews, I had to post my own experience regarding Kevin Bhatt and his UPS store in Seal Beach. I have read many of the reviews and here is one that takes the cake. In early October UPS lost a package that I overnighted. It showed up a few days later. My wife and I attempted to get a refund from Kevin's Store. He informed us that there was an investigation pending and we had to wait for it to be complete before we could get reimbursed. So we waited and waited and waited. It turns out, somehow the address that he had was incorrect so the check obviously never made it. My wife went into his store on 11/05/18 to attempt to figure out what happened and what we need to do. Now, at this point we had called the UPS 800 number multiple times and was directed by them to handle this with Kevin Bhatt's store. As my wife was explaining all of this to him he was extremely rude, arrogant and was actually laughing at her. She left the store of course without any resolution. The next day I decided to go in to his store to attempt once again to resolve this issue. I began the conversation with Kevin Bhatt asking him to apologize for how he treated my wife the day before. He immediately, with attitude and arrogance stated he would not apologize that my wife is a liar. I asked him what she could possibly be lying about. He pointed at his computer and went off about some correspondence my wife had with their people at the infamous #800. He wound up telling me there was nothing he can do for a liar. At this point I asked him to not call her a Liar and that I needed to resolve this issue.....He again with attitude and arrogance and using foul language towards me said he would not help me with my reimbursement...I stated to him that I was not going to just give up and let this go. Here's where it gets good everyone....He told me and I quote, "F*&^ you... I have a weapon...get out of my store". Unbelievable! Just so I can paint a picture for you readers I am 5'7" 160lbs and he is roughly 5'11" 200lbs, So in no way was I physically intimidating him. I called the local police department. Of course when they showed up he lied to the police and stated to them that he never said that to me. Now, for future people who want to complain about Kevin Bhatt the best number for the franchise corporate office is 800-789-4623. I also recommend to file a complaint with The Federal Trade Commission and the State Attorney General. Of course the BBB would be appropriate as well. It is amazing that someone like him in such a small town can treat his customers the way he does. As locals here in Seal Beach, we need to file as many complaints with the appropriate entities and put an end to Kevin Bhatt's miserable business venture's. Maybe his attorney will call me and demand I take this post down as he did with other X customers. We will not ever use his business again!!! read more

Do not go here for a live scan! I was charged $80 and 2 of my employees had the same exact scan done and were charged $25 at other UPS locations. I was asked why I was charged so much and they said it was for the billing with the FBI and DOJ, yet I had already paid for the service previously. When I called to get an explanation they said that they don't do 3rd party billing and I would have to go back to where I already had paid for it to get a refund. They should have told me this when they could plainly see that I had already paid for it. I emailed the owner and never got a response back. read more

I had rated my package online going to Canada and it quoted me around $71. So I went into this store to ship it off and they quoted me $351.00 !!! Ouch what a huge mark up. I went back home and called UPS on the phone and they confirmed if I went to the location in Cerritos I would only pay $74.23 that's a huge difference. This place quoted me over 4 times the rate of UPS. I understand making a profit since they are an independent but I'd say that's a bit too much profit for me. read more

Can I give him a minus one. I went in with a gift certificate for shedding, to open a mailbox and a business account. I thought they did shredding on premises, so I could watch some very important information being shredded. I asked where the shredder was and the lady said over there. Next thing I know, the owner Kevin comes in. I see my papers being thrown into a big trash can. Yes, it has a lock on it. I said, I wanted to see my papers being shredded. He at first told me that I couldn't have my papers back. Kevin said, that I could trust him. Excuse me? If you aren't shredding them in front of me, I will take them to someone that will. No, I don't trust him. I've been ripped off by people that I've trusted before and I certainly don't give my trust that easily. His gal and I dug my paper work out of the trash can. The whole time Kevin kept yelling at me and telling me "EVERYONE" in Seal Beach knows this is the way I do business. I didn't know and I've been here for 30 years. He was very rude and condescending to his female employee, also. She was the one helping me. He kept blaming her and yelling at the both of us. I have never been treated more rudely by a store owner, specially, in Seal Beach. I think he needs some anger management and better communication skills. read more

Do not go to this store for a Live Scan Fingerprinting!! The owner, Kevin quotes you a price of $25.00 for the scan but neglects to mention he also charges you an additional fee of $32.00 ( a public service payment ) to cover his "so called costs" for giving you the scan. You can have this scan done at many other locations for a mere $20. - $25 fee. Kevin took advantage of my 16 year old son by charging him this - had I been with my son we would have gone elsewhere to have it done. read more

Went to this location of UPS with a package to return that had a prepaid label. All I was doing was 'dropping it off' per instructions. Was charged a $2.00 drop off charge. When I questioned this the counter agent told me that was the policy. I knew this was not correct so called another location that I had been to in the past that had not charged me and asked about it. That store told me it was against the UPS Franchise policy to do this. I then called the UPS main office and reported this store; they further advised me to notify customer relations and gave me the info to do so. I want to warn people to beware of this 'drop off charge' scam. The counter agent also told me it was his boss, 'Kevin' that gave him the instructions to charge people this bogus charge. Please visit a different location to avoid being charged for simply dropping off a package with a prepaid label. read more

I've been frequenting this store for close to 20yrs and this is the 3rd different ownership that I've dealt with. Although the past 2 owners were ok, the current ownership and customer service team are outstanding! They have always gone above and beyond to help in any way possible. I moved out of the area last year and even though there's a closer location to my house, I still drive to this store because I know I will receive great service. WOW. I am incredibly impressed. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this UPS store a 10+. In the past, I always disliked the thought of having to send large packages because in the past I had had some nightmarish experiences when trying to ship original artwork with other companies & other mail centers, but I am so glad that I decided to go to this store. The man who helped me ( Kevin ) was incredible. He is so nice, professional, efficient, swift, pleasant & easy going . It was such a pleasure doing business with him. This man knows what he's doing & makes it a pleasure to get my work done & done right. I have 100% peace of mind that my package is A-OK & on it's way to it's exact destination. I have hundreds of paintings & I will always only go to this store to ship. No other store has even come close to this caliber of service when it comes to shipping. This UPS has extremely friendly and helpful staff. It is very easy to come in and use the computer, print, copy, scan, whatever you need to do. It has a very nice atmosphere. My only dislike is the livescan here was very expensive. I wouldn't come here if that is what you are needing, it can be done much cheaper at other places. Unfortunately, I learned that after I had already had my livescan. However, that is my only complaint. Everything about the store is great. read more
