The owner of this location is amazing. I went to Universal Studios for Mother's Day and unfortunately left my keys in the hotel. The hotel was supposed to drop my keys off at the store and ended up not doing so or informing me. Being that I had already paid for a label and was missing work I was frantically searching for ways to get my package to the store. In the last attempt I asked if a worker could pick it up and Ryan went out of his way during rush hour for them to ensure my package made it before the next day air truck arrived. My package is on its way and I won't have to miss another day at work. As a fellow UPS store employee for a San Jose, Ca location it is refreshing to see such great customer service and willingness to help someone in need. I would give them 100 stars if I could. This UPS location was relocated from its previous spot in the plaza just down the street. Parking can be pretty crowded in this plaza, but there are 15-minute parking spots right in front of the store and if people are considerate and only use them while visiting this UPS store, you'll be in and out quickly. The staff here is fantastic, fast and helpful, from assisting with taping ( not that I ask for that, but in years if I asked a handful of times, you would be surprised how many stores made a big deal), to keeping the line moving fast and carefully handling your packages. I visit this location often as its right by my office. Many days its a quick 20 minute walk - as its on Ventura and not always easy parking. This most recent time i had to drive and discovered they have dedicated parking behind the building clearly labeled for the UPS store! Hooray! Staff is always so helpful! While there is always a steady stream of traffic of customers coming in and dropping off or needing help, the wait in line is never long and the workers are always smiling and enjoying each customer! The location is organized and a delight - so dare i say i love dropping off my packages there! read more

I want to give a huge shout-out to one of the UPS employees at this location. He's always there when I need to ship/return something and always so friendly, but I never got his name. He has a cool tattoo on his right forearm, and he's just an all-around awesome guy. Today, we even chatted about video games, and he said I looked like Tommy from GTA, which was funny because I was pretty self-conscious about my outfit. I looked up what character he said I looked like, and it gave me a huge boost of confidence and energy for the day! It's little moments like that that make running errands feel less like a chore. He's consistently helpful, upbeat, and genuinely a pleasure to talk to. I hope he gets the recognition that he deserves. read more

Too many pages; it would have taken me forever. Called this store. Made copies for me in no more than 10 minutes. The staff was prompt, efficient, and friendly. I was relieved and happy. read more

They get the job done but their customer service really lacks. It's in a convenient location and there's a lot of parking underground but the two gentlemen at the front counter have never been pleasant to work with in my experience. They have unpleasant attitudes and give curt responses. If customer service is something that's important to you I would choose a different location but if it's not, this location is fine. read more

Had a last minute errand to run. Needed to send documents overnight through the most reliable source possible. So I jumped onto Yelp and I searched out the closest UPS Store I could find. From a street glance this location looks like it would be a hassle to get in and out of. However I pulled into the parking lot and followed the arrows and low and behold a plentiful underground parking area. I was easily able to park my car and get in and out of the UPS Store with ease. Easily accessible with wheelchair access. Underground parking provides an elevator to conveniently get to and from underground parking to the stores. read more

A pretty straightforward store with straightforward service. I have never had a line here because it's usually pretty empty and the staff immediately attends to me. The parking is ample outside and they have 30 mins parking spots too for quick in and outs. The store is clean and it has everything needed for packaging. It has packing supplies, boxes, tape, and even bubble wrap for sale. It has safety deposit boxes as well. You can ship packages or return things from Amazon here if you set it up before hand. One thing I found out today is they have notary services for $15. You can make an appointment for this and it's quick and easy. read more

Definitely not taking down this review John K. As it reflects what the UPS store tried to charge me for sending a single piece of paper. And yes I am aware of how much it costs to send overseas, and I don't appreciate your condescending tone. Now if you don't like my review maybe you shouldn't try and charge customers $88 to send a single piece of paper. I asked my local UPS if that was in line with their pricing and they said "no.. absolutely not". It's also Interesting to note that one of the managers/owners "Ry K" messaged me and apologized saying that it was a "mistake" and "miscommunication" on this UPS Store's behalf and yet you John K tried to come after me. I stand by my original thoughts and if anything it's just confirmed it even more -- I DO NOT recommend this UPS store at all. First time at this UPS location, had to return an item to Amazon and I wasn't thrilled with some previous places I've tried in the past. This one is convenient located on Ventura Blvd., has a big parking lot, easy to spot and to find. It's a bigger place, busy, but there are more guys working here, so they'll try to get you in and out fast. We got helped almost as soon as we got inside, got a receipt and off we went. The item got returned, no problem, so this is a good location to use for now on (mental note!). Glad I looked around! read more

I went into the UPS store again today (after waiting a year and a half after my last bad experience at this location) to try one more time to get a box. I first approached a young man and he told me talk to the other guy. Was not very friendly, but I walked over to the other guy anyway. I later tried to get his name and he refused to give it to me. The other guys name was Andy, which it took me forever to get his name because they tried to refuse giving me his name as well. I am so disappointed with the level of customer service provided by this location, I would never ever ever recommend anyone doing business at this location. Yes, it's convenient, but there's other UPS stores close by that are much friendlier and actually want your business. Dealing with Andy today I felt like I was being an inconvenience to him, he was rude, and did nothing to give me any kind of impression that he wanted my business.... I was trying to get a box and provided multiple forms of ID that I had, but absolutely nothing was good enough for them. It felt like they were coming up with everything they could just to not rent me the box. Mind you I've had a UPS box at two other locations for at least four years or more, I just wanted to switch one of those over to be closer to my house. I thought I had waited long enough from the last attempt and their attitude would be different, especially after the online response I received after my last review, but I see absolutely nothing has changed. They even called the manager and he did nothing to help get this done. Not sure if it's a racial thing cause I'm white, my daughter who's mixed walked in before me for separate business and they were super nice to her so it makes you wonder, although I would hate to think that's the case. Either way I'm super uncomfortable at this location, which is very unfortunate because I was going to get a box for year and probably keep it for the next 5 to 10. I highly recommend you give everyone at this location customer service training. And it's unfortunate that Andy is training the new person that it's OK not to give out their name when they know you want to speak with someone about their service... it's funny, I actually just realized that I do have an original document of one of the things they were asking for, that may have forced them to give me the box, but at this point, I feel like they would find a way to not accept that and it's just super uncomfortable so I'm just not doing with them. I would recommend anyone that wants to be treated with respect And treated like a valued customer to stay away from this location. The UPS store at 4804 Laurel Canyon, the employees are always nice and amazing. I actually wish those guys would work at Studio city and then I would have no issues. I pretty much only ever have to ship returns, but this is my absolute favorite UPS location. There's easy parking which is nice but the staff is always super efficient and kind. I can often be in my own world and not pay much attention but they always make sure my stuff is packed correctly and well. Have done a couple international shipments with them and they were great and knowledgeable with those as well. Shoutout to Anthony and Ryan, their kindness on this rainy day near the holidays (when most everyone is stressed) really lifted my spirits. So while there are many UPS locations today reminded me why this is the one that I always make my way to. Kind, professional, and efficient. I just left this location feeling incredibly touched and extremely grateful for people like Hector and Anthony... to my surprise we're brothers! Which I found out today due to this being my second visit back regarding this return situation from this last Sat... Basically I came in on Sat which Anthony was supporting me with and asked if the company I was returning my package to offered free shipping as you would think most apparel companies would. I wasn't sure bc I called and visited the website and it seemed to accept returns but not offer it for free. So he suggested for me to find out so I wouldn't have to come out of pocket myself bc it was over 14lbs of clothes I ordered... so I decided to take his advise and find out for sure. Sadly I found out the company in fact did not. So I came back today to complete my return and ship out. I saw the man (who I thought was Anthony, later realizing was Hector) as I came back in and automatically told him that the company didn't offer free shipping thinking he was the same person I saw on Sat and he just picked up the convo and proceeded to assist me in checking the weight of the return package and I wanted to compare prices to see if USPS shipping would be cheaper... needless to say, he informed me of the differences as well as the insurance on the package since my shipment was over $500 in merch. And I felt so catered to and cared for with regard to my concerns and my finances, and decided to go with UPS. As soon as we were finishing up, Anthony walks by behind him and asked me about if the company offered free shipping! So I realized that the young man helping me was not the same person from Sat. As he saw me realize that, he warmly said, "oh yeah that's my brother". I mean both of them looked very similar and also offered the same level of service to me that I was so moved to leave a review for these amazing guys. I love meeting ppl who go out of their way to make me feel that they really have my best interests and for a company to have employees at this caliber. Thank you Anthony and Hector. Customer service is good, but service at every UPS store I've been to has always been good. My only complaint is that they up charge for everything. It costs $1.00 to print per page here, whereas it's $.10 per page at the UPS in North Hollywood. A small 6x6x6 inch box costs $6.25, whereas it costs $2.50 at the UPS store in North Hollywood. read more

The clerk wasn't wearing a mask and was standing behind the counter comfortably. Then he went to a cabinet and took one out and offered to help me. He was rude for the entire transaction. Like most people, I actually dread heading over to UPS or Fed-ex due to crappy past experience such as long lines, incompetent and rude staff, and overall unpleasantness but I was super happy and lucked out when I had to take care of some stuff for work and this UPS store came in the clutch!!!!!!! Had to return something for XM satellite radio and coincidentally do a notary which I had no idea that UPS actually does but Ryan (The Asian Guy) took care of it for me and shipped out my package in less than 5 mins. Appreciate the efficiency guy. He even faxed me some forms as opposed to me walking next door to Office Depot. THANKS BRO! Overall, probably the only UPS store I will ever go though since I live on the Westside it will be a stretch. However, if you're in the area I think it's definitely worth your while. It seems like it's a tight run ship over there and I noticed the other employee (Matt) diligently working as well as opposed to other UPS/Fed Ex stores where the employees are on their phones. Shipper beware. (The below is a review that reflects UPS corporate policy, and does not entirely reflect a poor experience of this franchised location. This location called with any new information to update us of the error and to do their best to mitigate the core issue. However the shipment originated and was paid for in this location.) I used this location (it is a franchise and independently owned, so they do not control UPS company policy whatsoever)to ship a framed poster for my employer to his mother. It's a poster from the 70's from his late father which is both worthless monetarily but priceless sentimentally. I paid this location over $300 for pack and ship service. We received a call a couple weeks later that the item 'went missing' and an insurance payout is likely. I then call the UPS location it went missing in directly to see how they lose a giant poster, and they said essentially when something gets damaged in transit they THROW IT AWAY AND ISSUE A CLAIM. No call to the sender, no human decency or communication from UPS corporate or a warehouse manager. Long story short, the frame may have been damaged or the poster, but given its origin my boss would have liked nothing less to have his poster back in any shape it was in. This is apparently their policy at UPS corporate and don't care if they are shipping your 100 year old heirlooms or an iPad. Just payout the claim and tell the shipper tough crap. This is not the franchises fault, but it is the corporate policy that the franchise operates under so there is a smaller degree of accountability to the store. In the end, they issued a 300 insurance payout and the shipping fees back minus 10% for a 'fuel charge'. Yes, UPS corporate will take 10% AFTER losing or otherwise destroying and dumping your belongings in the trash without your knowledge. Again this is not the fault of this franchise or location and not that of the owner of this store. This is how it played out due to UPS corporate faulty policy and how they conduct their business.
