It stinks in that store, literally and figuratively. The owners' attitude (both husband and wife) stinks. One time I returned five small packages from Amazon and the rude wife asked me, "Don't you ever keep anything from Amazon?" When I asked her if there's any problem with me returning items from Amazon, she got quiet. Another time, I got there 15 minutes before closing and she denied me service saying they're done for the day. When questioned why since there's still 15 minutes left until closing, she nonchalantly told me to come back the next day. No apologies whatsoever. Seriously, these owners don't care about customer satisfaction. Never again. read more

I appreciate the location of this store due to its convenience and decent parking availability. That said, the staff there leaves a lot to be desired. On a recent occasion, the store was empty when I arrived, which was good for me as I had a number of items that needed to be returned. When I was finally done with my transactions, one of the women working there had the gall to tell me I should shop less or go to the stores to try items on so I wouldn't need to return things. That is a remarkably insensitive comment given that customers like me literally keep her in business. read more

Absolute worst customer service and rudest employees ever. I went to make an Amazon return I didn't realize that my return needed its own package not provided from the store. Behind the counter, they had a whole box full of used Amazon mailers that people had left behind and simply asked if I could use one and put the label on it. The rude employees said absolutely not. You can buy one for $1.25 that's how we make a living. On top of this the store absolutely stinks. Never coming back here again and apparently according to reviews, I'm not the only one that feels that way read more

For the sake of convenience, I dropped off an Amazon return here even tho I usually avoid it like the plague knowing how bad the customer service is. And true to form (at least they're consistent), the guy behind the counter was super rude. And when I asked for a receipt for the return, he impatiently gestured towards the package and said: "Take a picture." Amazon requires all of their return sites to provide receipts and I'm pretty sure UPS does, too. This place is gross. They lost my package and refused to help me find it. I went to this UPS store out of convenience because I wasn't close to the one I normally go to (in downtown walnut creek). I dropped off 3 packages and 2 were delivered while the biggest one was not. I went back looking to see if there was a reason it had not been sent out and the lady in the front only said if it were here we would've sent it out. I brought these packages yesterday and left them on the counter because the younger lady working just told me to leave it there with other packages. Very disappointed they lost my package and made zero effort to help mend the situation. read more

Amazon return drop-off. I asked for a receipt and was told I could take a photo of the shipping label because it's time stamped and I wouldn't have to deal with paper. I realize that doesn't prove it was actually accepted by UPS so asked for a paper receipt. The woman insisted I could take a photo so I'd have the tracking number. Not sure if they're trying to save on printing or if they really don't understand the difference. Not going back. read more

I recently moved near this UPS store. The lady that opens most mornings refused to print out a return receipt for me when I returned a prepaid Amazon item (every UPS store provides a receipt). She said they don't do those anymore and said I could take a picture of the label. The next time I returned something I went in the afternoon and different employee processed the return and asked me if I wanted a receipt. I said yes and she printed one. I told her that the morning lady said that they stopped printing receipts and she replied, no, you just need to ask us and we can print one. Today, I went in the morning again and the same "anti-receipt" lady processed my Prepaid Amazon return and when I asked for a receipt she refused 3 times until I said" so, you're refusing to print me the receipt that I know you can print?". She then lectured me about the waste and how I should care more about conserving the environment and being more eco-friendly. This response is absolutely disgusting. To be in the business of selling disposable shipping products and using methods of shipping worldwide which have a tremendous carbon footprint print on the world and then you're going to refuse to give me a needed receipt for my records and lecture me about my lack of eco-friendliness is the most BS Bay Area tone deaf response I've seen in a long time. Please do your job with a decent amount of customer service. It's not your job to lecture customers and make things more difficult than they need to be. I'd really appreciate my next experience to be a lecture free transaction where I don't have to ask for my receipt 3+ times. Thank you! read more

The only reason I use this UPS store is because it is so close to my house. However the service is absolutely terrible, in particular with Amazon returns. Amazon has made arrangements with UPS to have customers simply drop off items for return at any UPS Store without having to first package them. But if you bring an unpackaged return item into this store, you will get a stern lecture about the need to provide your box or padded envelope. If you bring in a packaged item with a prepaid mailing label on it, they will not give you a receipt. Others have complained about this as well. Every other UPS store I have used happily issues receipts for dropped off packages. read more

I walked into this store today 5 minutes before closing while I was on the phone with amazon trying to get a return label & it took longer than expected. They let me in & waited for me to try to get the label. Deana greeted me & was very kind when Amy (the owner) said to her "you can leave before your pizza gets cold", she said "it's ok I like cold pizza". When she left Amy the owner took over. I felt so bad that she stayed late for me but she didn't make me feel bad at all. I was on the phone for about 20 minutes past closing dealing with Amazon & when I couldn't get the label she even offered to help. This is the kind of wonderful & genuine service you get at this UPS. There is plenty of parking and it's conveniently located by a myriad of stores including Safeway, CVS, pizza, Starbucks, Mexican food etc. I highly recommend this store. read more

Ehhhhh this place lacks customer service. Ever single time I use this location, they are consistently rude or unpleasant. If you don't like your job, leave! Don't take it out on the customer. I have previously written an email to management which was ignored. Only go here when I'm in a rush & the nearby USPS is closed. Zero customer service, downright rude. Wayne only huffs & puffs like he's aggravated. The other older lady is just as bad, if but worse. They refuse to look you in the eye, they are very combative if you ask a question. Not a kind helpful attitude at all. There is usually a wait, especially on Monday's & today after waiting 10 minutes, not even a 'sorry about the wait'. I honestly don't think they give a crap if you come in or not by their horrific behavior. Only redeeming moment was the young lady who was there assisting people, asking their needs & helpful if there was something she could do. Too bad Wayne even spoke to her rudely. If you don't like being a UPS affiliate store, don't be a UPS affiliate store. The staff (except the younger kid working there sometimes) is straight up rude. In the past, my main complaint is if you ship something, they refuse to print receipts because, "no one keeps them anyway." Today's experience was a whole new level. I had some Amazon returns which I returned through this store. I didn't think 8 items was a lot, but after scanning 4, the clerk said, "Man, did you keep anything?" After two more items, I said, "Only two left." To which she replied, "Jesus Christ!" I will not be returning to this store. read more

Even though this UPS store is 2 minutes from my home, I have not to gone there in years. The owner and staff are unfriendly, not welcoming, grumpy, rude and appear to be very burned out. Today I decided to try them again rather than driving to another UPS store where they are friendly, say hi and smile. The owners husband helped me. He looked at me and pointed me to the far counter where he was. I asked if he would please move my box of returns (I'm handicapped), he took the box and placed it not gently on the counter. He was impatient when I was pulling up the Amazon return barcodes on my phone. Item by item be threw them to the counter behind him. When I said thank you, he didn't respond so I said it again and he mumbled something I couldn't understand. Hands down the rudest, burned out owner and husband. Sadly, they have a prime location and get a lot of business. They appear very ungrateful for the business. I will never go there again. read more

I will say customer service absolutely sucks at this location. Pretty rude and rushed demeanor here. I guess the people working here don't really care about being employed, even during a rough economy. If they did, maybe they would make more of an effort. When you call this location you are made to feel as if your call is a nuisance to them. If you feel that way fine, maybe I'll take my business elsewhere. MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A RECEIPT WHEN YOU MAKE AMAZON RETURNS. DON'T WALK AWAY WHEN GIVEN A RUDE ANSWER OR LOOK WHEN YOU MAKE THIS REASONABLE REQUEST. I didn't take my own advice and a $36.00 bathing suit was never scanned and put into the Amazon system. I carefully print out the return code and/or mailing labels and attach them to the items I'm returning. When I checked my Amazon returns yesterday and saw that one was missing, I called Amazon customer service and because I do a lot of purchasing and have been a customer for many years, they took exception this time and credited the money back to my account. Moving forward it is my responsibility to get a receipt. The Tice Creek UPS Store location is very busy. Heather and Amy work very hard, yet diligently and accurately. They want each customer to feel satisfied with services they offer. I am a satisfied customer (e.g., mailing, printing, email, fax, and scanning services). Another bonus is they are 5 minutes away from home and they provide services 10 hours a day. I really don't like giving bad reviews but I have used this Tice Valley location many times so I don't feel bad saying this. These people are so rude. I don't know if they are just old and angry or just plain rude. There are 3 older folks that just aren't nice. And to make it worse, the store is filthy and it smelled like fish!!! I just went to this store to ship a few packages (even though every single time I am not happy with their customer service, it is the closest ups store from my house so) an older lady with gray hair ponytail literally THREW my packages to a pile of other packages in front of me as soon as she scanned them. Maybe because I asked her for a receipt before I put the packages on the counter which they never offered or refused to give me one saying the tracking number is a receipt. I need a receipt as a proof that I shipped a package and all other UPS store always offer or ask me if I need one. Are they trying to save the cost of paper for receipt?!?! Another trip to this store and another positive experience. Courteous, fast, and accepted my package (which Amazon wants packed, sealed and free of labels when handed off). I was offered the opportunity to photograph the UPS shipping label and declined it since the package was registered and in my Amazon app before getting to my car. Hi I work at The UPS Store. I want to thank the customers who were in the store on Wednesday August 10th. I was working alone and had several notaries to perform. The customers were so patient and did not make me feel rushed. There was even one gentleman who helped another lady operate the copy machine so she could complete the process efficiently. I give them one star because there is no minus stars. I go to this UPS because is close to home and thanks God I only go two or three times a year. With the pandemic problem I went early last year and the young person that took care of me had a very nice attitude and was very helpful but in previous occasions the oldest of the women that worked there took care of me and she was rude, nasty, dismissive, sarcastic I could go on adding bad adjectives to this woman's behavior but it would never be enough. It was early and I was the only client for something simple and again she came to me with all of her mighty nastiness, rude answers and dismissive attitude and on top of everything she overcharged me.
