One CS rep at the counter doesn't know what she is doing and talking to someone on the phone for a long time to get instructions to help one customer. Then the next customer's turn and she has to call on the phone again to get help to help the customer. Meanwhile, the line got longer and many ppl on the line left because they cannot wait. Took more than 30 mins to drop off one package. And no other employee in the store. Not sure which big brain decided it is ok to leave one employee who is not trained yet to serve customers alone in the store. read more

I've been going to this store and it's prior incarnation for over 25 years and I'm always greeted with a smile and great service. I've had a mailbox here all these years and never had any lost packages or mail. In these times of porch pirates stealing packages, it's great to know Neelema is looking after mine. I wanted to like picking up my packages at this very close & convenient location but unfortunately it's more of a headache. When I moved 2 months ago, I Put this UPS as my delivery address since I wasn't sure if my new place was safe. 2 packages were delivered, I went to pick up & only 1 was given to me, unknowingly it was sent back to sender since I was never aware it was already here for pick up. Had another package delivery by UPS, I put my home address since my last issue here. But it was sent here, took about 15 minutes to get inside for pick up, 2 employees slowly working but not with customers who are waiting, Both working on 1 task together. Finally get to desk for my package, asked why it was sent here, was told must have a note to be sent to here! SMH ‍ darn I have to change that, she has me sign & I'm standing there for a receipt or something where she looks at me & says "your done" No thank you or anything courteous. Doesn't compare to the mailbox etc by work, kaiser fremont where employees still care about customers & work very efficiently. read more

The Indian lady who helped me had me waiting over 20 minutes jumping back and forth in between customers, to give me an absurd amount for shipping quoting over $159 for a $5 item when I stopped her and said no thank you I'll go to the post office she cut me off and said " I'm not done! " those are quotes for a certain time frame. I've used to come here long before when and older gentleman owned it, he was pleasant to work with but I won't return here even if it's the last location. This was my final straw. The service is awful, their interaction with the customers is even worse. This is a smaller than average UPS, but don't let that discourage you - the help you get here is top notch. I've been coming to this UPS (as well as others) for over a year. Without fail, every single person who has ever helped me, has been absolutely wonderful. I cannot recall ever catching someone on a bad day or not being informed of charges, even letting me know when cost would be cheaper if I went to the Post Office. I am always so impressed with the help here, they're friendly and fast - I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. There are two weigh stations and registers, and I've even had someone help me with a larger package. There is also a USPS blue box outside of this UPS store. Rude and insensible owner lady: I've been going to this store for last 3 years. But, I had a really bad experience this time. The owner lady/supervisor is not even listening to the customers and she was very rude not just to me but other customers as well. I wanted a scanned copy of an id card. The worker who was helping me didn't know how to operate it. She tried 3-4 times to get me the soft copy. I patiently waited for 30 minutes and at the end they made a copy on paper and scan that copy. The result were so bad, that I can't use that copy for official purpose. I refused to pay for that but she said we were serving you for 25 minutes and now you have to pay for it. I said if the scanner isn't working you could have just told me but her reply was that the scanner is working fine and very rudely said to take my business somewhere else. read more

Came here for live scan after calling and confirming availability. Staff was not competent in completing live scan and asked us to wait for manager who was on the way. It took us more than 2 hours to get one live scan done and it was expensive more than double as well than other UPS store. Total waste of time and more cost. I know to avoid this store due to poor customer service previous years. But I had to come here for something paid by company. They charged for email and printing one page and service charge. I would like to give this place more stars only because their staff are genuinely nice, but I think the overall experience here is mediocre. Although I mentioned that the staff are nice, the service here seems slow and a line always picks up. There was one time where a 'customer' lined up just to talk to one of the staff. He literally lined up just to catch up and talk to one of the staff. They could have have meet up after hours to chit chat? The man was not there for any specific services besides making the line much longer. Another reason why it's hard to give this place some more stars is because my Amazon return has been sitting there for almost a month now. Didn't realize these UPS stores are actually small businesses! I presume franchise? Anyway, the folks here are all super friendly and helpful. It's very much a service limited by company policies, but they do their best to help you out. Sure, the lines can get a bit long but rarely unbearable (maybe after holiday), but that's not their fault. They process quickly particularly if you have all your stuff ready to go - for example, barcodes for Amazon dropoff. To the UPS store comment: as I wrote, my package was taped EXACTLY the same way it was delivered to me, it did not need more tape. Additionally, AS PER AMAZON, the store is supposed to accept the package even if not taped enough AND the UPS store is NOT supposed to charge for tape. I spoke directly with Amazon and that is what they told me. (I'm assuming it's part of the contract UPS has with Amazon.) I've been shopping with Amazon for many, many years and I know how their return process works, as confirmed by Amazon, as mentioned above. Charging people for tape on Amazon returns when it is not needed is your way of swindling people to make extra money. Sad, but true. I don't like updating reviews and subtracting stars, but we had a very poor experience today that was unacceptable. I made appointments online to take our passport photos at this UPS location. They offered appointments in 30-minute intervals so I chose two morning appointments for us. We got there on time and I approached a staff member at the front to notify her that we were here for our passport photos appointment. She acknowledged us and asked us to wait on the side for a few minutes. A few minutes turned into half an hour. My significant other approached her again and she said that their photo printer had connectivity issues. She asked us to wait another 5 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes. We asked her again and she said she needed another 5 minutes. Long story short, it appeared that they only had 1 person trained to use the camera and print photos.... really? We were shocked. Anyways, after about 45 minutes we were finally asked to step forward to take our photos. I stood in front of a white screen and another staff member was quite rude. Rather than telling me to step left or right or even letting me know that she was going to approach me to step into my 6 ft. social distancing bubble, she literally walks up in my face and uses her bare hands to physically move me in front of the white screen. Sure, I understand that the photo needs to be centered and I may have been centimeters off centered, but a heads up on what her actions were gonna be would help. I immediately politely told her I felt uncomfortable and before I could even proceed to continue talking, she rudely exclaimed, "Well what do you expect? If you want the photos done the right way then I'm gonna have to position you!" It would have been nice if she could at least wear gloves because we are in a pandemic and this is not pre-pandemic times when people can just step right next to you or let alone in her case, stand right in front of my face rudely yelling. There was no apology after that and we paid and left. She could definitely use some customer service etiquette training, better communication, and learn to respect people during a pandemic. I was pretty disappointed at this service and the photos were pretty bad quality. Lack of effort. Not worth $28 for two sets of passport photos. Note: It looks like from other Yelpers' reviews that people have the same negative experience from this same woman. Red flag! read more
