So to piggy-back on a previous review, the guy working the counter ignored me for a good few minutes while I just stood there as he and some female were whining about money. Finally he helped me as if I was interrupting their whine-fest and charged me $2.50 to tape a label to my textbook return rental box. What a Fucking Jerk and a flat out joke; avoid this disgrace of a UPS store - most UPS stores normally offer great customer service - but not here. I rank it right up there with all the homeless that call this area home: low, dirty, underhanded and ever-ready to steal your money. I recently sent a package from this store for a food drop on a backpacking trip I was going on. The estimated cost online to ship my package was $20-25 but when I went to the store, the gentleman quoted me $41. He up charged me for the location and for the package being in plastic tub. I called UPS and they said that the stores are independently ran and each store can quote you a different price. I talked to other fellow backpackers on the trail who made the shipment with the same weight at other UPS locations and were only charged in the $20-25 range. Had them pack and ship six items I purchased through a local auction. Sent SPECIFIC instructions on how they were to be packed, and none of it was followed. They also never included any receipt in the package after I requested them to do so. It took them over a month to provide a simple receipt for my taxes. Take your business to FedEx. read more

Came here to print a study guide for school. No one thought to tell me that a color printed page would be $1.30 EACH. So my 14 page study guide came out to be $20.00. Used to color printing being .50 cents per page, guess these people live in an alternate universe where they charge almost 3x this amount. ALSO checked online and UPS quoted me .50 cents per page, EVEN IF IT WAS A DOUBLE SIDED PAGE. These guys are crooks, go somewhere else. Don't know how they even get business. read more

The $4 charge seemed sketchy, so I went back and asked for a receipt. He printed me one for 'loose fill bag'. I bought no such thing. Not going here again. read more

So I just re-turned a bunch of stuff to Amazon which is supposed to be free to return yet I walked out having paid almost 20 bucks for shipping, this is never happened to me before. He blamed it on the vendors and said I needed to pay for packaging however Amazon says no packaging required. Bottom line - avoid this place. read more

I have used this store location several times previously and have never had an issue. Today, however, I went in to send a package. I went to the UPS store because I wanted something sent UPS. I thought it was the only way they sent things. Evidently not. I did not realize until quite a while after the fact that my package was sent USPS. The owner didn't say anything, didn't give me any options...just sent it any way he felt like. Had I wanted my package shipped USPS I would have gone to the post office. I went in to have an Amazon return label printed by having my phone scanned. Which is a service they are supposed to do. The staff said they can't do that, that I had to do that at home. My printer at home is on the blink. I'll just go to another UPS Store, since this guy doesn't know what services he's supposed to be providing. Very annoying. read more

Very rude, have been to this location a few times and have always thought they could do better at customer service. This last time they tried to charge me for 5" of tape to close my package up, although they never did before. Granted I did not take it well, but the smug look on the guys face was too much and I was very upset. I will never go back to this location. It is unclean and messy as well. read more

I recommend going to the other store across town. The clerk was rude and tried to charge $3.22 for a packing fee. The only packing required was closing the small standard sized box with tape. $3 isn't a lot of money, but that's an absurd up charge for 10 seconds of work and a nickel of material. read more

Wasn't happy they charged me for a service that I was not supposed to be charged for. The manager wasn't there so the lady called and he said that I was supposed to be charged. Very disappointed. Went in for a 'free' shipping return via Amazon Prime for soft goods and the owner charged me $8. He charged for the largest box when it could have fit into a much smaller package. Charged $2.50 to get my packaging slip and .30 to print it. Then $1.50 to put it in the package. Had it not been free Amazon shipping it would've cost me $20 to return a $25 pair of jeans. read more

We are visiting our daughter and her family in southern California and are helping them to move. Today we brought in their AT&T TV and internet equipment, because their new neighborhood is not served by that provider. AT&T guarantees free return if a customer returns the equipment to a UPS store. The person at the counter at the UPS store would not accept the WiFi router and told us "it was not on the list." She then walked away. So we left the store rather upset by her unfriendly demeanor and her poor customer service. We drove back to our daughter's house and she provided us with a printed copy of the items, along with their serial numbers and bar codes that AT&T was expecting. We got back into the car and drove to the UPS store, our second trip of the day (14 miles one way). Another person was at the counter, so I told him that the other customer service employee would not accept the WiFi router. I handed him the router and the printed copy. He logged onto his computer and told us that he couldn't accept the router because it was too old. In a sarcastic manner, he told us to call AT&T and wait 2 hours. He went on to say that AT&T would send our daughter a paid US Postal Service label. He walked away. Twice, we were treated badly at the UPS store. I have been a UPS customer for many years. During the two years that I, as executor, was working on my mother's estate I used the services of UPS in New Jersey and Florida as well as my home state of Washington. I had positive and exemplary customer service. I will remain a customer of UPS, but I will NEVER set foot in the Ventura UPS again. I'll drive down to another southern California city even if it is quite far away from my daughter's new home. read more

I love this place. Have a box there yes it's more expensive than having a box at the post office but i forget my key, no problem they will go back and get my things. You forget the key for the post office box then you have to get in a huge line and pay for another. Another thing is that they are open Longer hours and open on sats. They are always friendly at this ups. Yes it may be a little pricey to ship things but less hassle than going to post office. They also save previous used addresses. read more

Before moving out of state, we had a box at this UPS store for a few years. Once in a while the store was crowded, with people or shipping stuff, especially hectic around Christmas. And once in a while a package or mail was put in the wrong box. But overall, I was very pleased by the service. I never had them pack anything for me, so I can't comment on that aspect of the business. But Ram and his wife were always friendly and helpful. If I moved back to California, I wouldn't hesitate to get another mail box at this location. read more

So I took a very expensive cd player to this location to get boxed and packed. The guy who worked at the counter was indian. When he was packing my cd player, he put a very thin piece of plastic bubble wrap over a very heavy cd player, and he thought that was sufficient in providing enough protection for the package. I was in a hurry, and I was watching him, thinking is this guy serious? But then he added some popcorn into the box. I was in such a hurry to get out, I thought the popcorn was good enough. When my package arrived to the buyer, it was broke. It had broke in shipment. When they sent it back to me, it broke even more. If your job is to work at a shipping store, it is your responsibility to pack things for people so they don't have any problems. Surely you must understand what works and what does not if you have been working there long enough. I have been to many shipping stores, and almost all of them would insist on packing the boxes too safe. They understood that a thin piece of bubble wrap doesn't really protect very much, especially when you are shipping a heavy fragile cd player. So either the guy who packed my cd player just didnt give a fuck, or he was so dumb that he didn't know how to pack something properly. Either way I ended up with a broken cd player, losing my shipping money, and losing the cost of the item. Next time I will get $500 insurance so ups can pay for their own mistakes because of the dumb workers they hire. read more
