Go in to the store to get passport picture done and the person that answered the phone didn't tell me they've been having problems with their printer. Waste of time. I went there to return a computer monitor by UPS which was required packing. I was asking a lady there to wrap the item. She seemed to be a new and was going to measure it but the other lady was sitting down and wrapping up to close the register and saying to come back next day when their manager was there since they really didn't know how to wrap the monitor properly and they were about to close the store. They close at 4:30 and it was only 4:00. Seriously..?! I had to go to other UPS store in Bancroft and the Bancroft store did it for me right away. It was Veteran's Day. I needed to send two pre-paid UPS packages by EOB. After calling around, I learned that ALL of the other UPS locations had already had their pick ups for the day. When I called and learned that THIS location had a pick up scheduled at 3 p.m. I frantically dashed over to make it just under the deadline -- and 30 minutes before closing. Brandon helped me out by calling UPS Customer Service when 3 p.m. came and went and there was no pick up! I patiently waited while he asked the clueless representatives at the call center, quietly hoping that a UPS delivery guy would suddenly show up. At 3:20 p.m. two delivery guys walked in the door! This being a new route for them, hence the delay! Brandon scanned my two packages and handed me a receipt with tracking numbers and told me to hold onto it to confirm delivery. Although the delivery guys had already wheeled out the overflowing trolley cart, he placed the boxes on the back counter and promised that my packages would be on the next trolley cart. Lo and behold, I received an e-mail confirmation a few days later that my packages had been delivered on time! I really appreciated Brandon's patience and helpfulness. I would definitely return if I were to need to mail a UPS package again. read more

Theft If you are dropping anything expensive make sure you don't rely on the QR from Amazon, have a physical label or they might just rob you. I dropped an Amazon return to this young lady, she scanned the QR on mmy phone, took the package ... and poof the package is gone. I called and spoke with (another?) young lady named Janette six days later, gave her the tracking and explained. She said they shipped. I said check on UPS, it's not even picked up. That's when Janette basically started yelling at me on the phone and telling me to "Listen! we keep it in a box bla bla then we ship the big box bla bla.." I told her it's not my problem what they do, I have a tracking gave her the item, and UPS.com site says she never gave it to them . This obnoxious rude girl basically dismissed me and said it's not her problem. read more

We were sent to this UPS store to get fingerprints cards but only the owner can do those. The lady who works can't. We paid $3 for parking and had to go to another location so we lost that money. If you need fingerprints call them first to see if the owner is there. 15 min task took us over an hour :-( read more

My company paid to ship two packages of artwork: One was professionally packaged by them, the other was our own packaging, and each cost almost $100 to ship. The one professionally packaged ended up with damage to the artwork that costed hundreds of dollars to fix, and the other one was erroneously returned to the store from New York instead of continuing to its destination, which it was very close to. The store was not at fault for the returned package, however, they did nothing to help us resolve this error. It took a month of hounding the owner, Haresh, to get compensation for the damaged artwork, and I found out afterwards that we should've been credited for the shipping, too, but the owner denied this policy and refused to refund us. It took two months to get the other package reshipped to New York and that was only because someone else with UPS stepped in to help us. If they hadn't, we probably would've had to pay another $100 to reship the items. Haresh and a woman I presume was his partner were extremely rude, they took no accountability for their lack of customer service, and instead treated us like an inconvenience with no compassion for our situation. Not only were they rude and negligent, they lied about their efforts to help us (said a claim was filed but it wasn't, said he was waiting to hear back from people but wasn't making any effort to contact them, etc.), they made the process of reshipping more difficult than it needed to be, they challenged us at every step, and left the responsibility of having the items reshipped and communicating about the reshipment completely on us when it should've been on them. This description of events doesn't even do justice to how awful the whole situation was. After all of the negligence, lies, and rudeness, the woman had the nerve to tell me I was welcome to go somewhere else. I would recommend going to another UPS store if you can, as this store WILL NOT help you if something goes wrong. Haresh owns two other UPS stores in the area as well, but I know the UPS Store on Ygnacio is safe. read more

This used to be a postal place but looks like UPS took it over and things have gone downhill. The 1 star goes to Brandon who was very helpful, but they leave him alone on a Tuesday morning with 5 people in line. Large companies do not care about the customers...they care about saving that money. So they could care less if we have to wait 25min to mail a package at their inflated prices. I miss the customer service and convenience of having that small post office there. Don't be fooled, the UPS website on here says they do priority mail, not true. Long wait times. Poor workers are always by themselves with no help at all. Waited almost an hour to do a simple amazon return because the line was out the door. I have been a client of theirs for more than a year now, and so far my experience with them is outstanding. If you ever had experience in dealing with logistic companies you know that these wonderful people is a true time saver for you, and your company. All logistics companies operate in a similar fashion whether it be USPS FedEx UPS DHL CalTrac or whatever, its all frustrating and a waste of time waiting for them to receive their packages. Simply its because you do not know exactly at what moment they would step into your door. I am speaking from experience here. For those of you that say or don't care the difference between FedEx Ground & FedEX or FedEx Air, then you need to know this because they are all separate entities and a subsidiary of Federal Express. If you try to ship a package with FedEX Ground, FedEX will not accept your package when they call them, to schedule a pickup. Because FedEx Ground require a specific set of numbers that if not given they refuse to pick up your package!! My experience is that, and I was literally pulling my hair out because of this grief they were giving me! Have you ever needed to be there at the door to sign for the package when it arrives? If so then you know that all logistic companies will give you an ETA of around 9am to 5pm. And if you are not there to sign, they will keep it over night or u pick it up at their inconvenient location. If after several attempts, they will send it back to sender. Having a company like Main Street Postal & Business Center will save you a lot of time by not having to worry about signing a package because they are always open to accept, and sign for packages Lets say your mail is a day late. You can't blame Main Street Postal & Business Center because they have no control with the drivers who deliver our packages. My experience was yesterday 03/01/10 with USPS. My package had a track & confirm tag number on it. It arrived in the Walnut Creek main Post Office at 7:01AM. Main Street Postal & Business Center tells me they receive mail from USPS at or around 2pm. So I came back around 4:00 expecting the package to be there by now since it is already in the WC main PO. But to my grief NO LUCK! I rushed to try & pick up my package at the Main PO where it says it was, but they have no F**ing clue as to where the damn package was because all it says arrived Walnut Creek 701AM. Boy was I mad because that item is something I needed as a COMPUTER EMERGENCY to power my computer! Thanks to USPS I missed an assignment that I needed to turn in because USPS was too slow. Had no choice but to go home. The next day I came back to Main Street Postal & Business Center to verify that the USPS dropped off the package. I was in luck! It was there. I asked them when it arrived, they said "This Morning" I was like WTF???? This item was supposed to be here yesterday, and did not arrive till the next morning? So USPS takes a full 24 hours to deliver a package 2 miles from the city's main PO even though they say it is expected to arrive 24 hours earlier. As far as FedEx Pick Up, you can schedule a pickup at your location, but they may charge you $13 pick up fee, or if you don't have time to wait, and need to get it dropped off fast, then go to FedEx Kinkos because they have the obligation to service their subsidiary company. UPS is the same, and so is USPS. With USPS you can call for free pick Up or wait 30 to 80 minutes in line at the post office your choice. read more

These ladies are the most helpful human beings ever. Every time I've walked into this place I'm like a clueless sheep, and they ask what I need, hand me whatever forms I have to fill out and then ring me up. You're out the door in 5 minutes. I've come here for passport photos, to mail everything for my passport renewal, to send certified mail, return receipt, etc. It's never super crowded, but even if there are other people in there, the employees bounce around to make sure everyone's getting what they need so you don't ever feel like you're just standing around waiting. TLDR: I highly recommend going here over the USPS down the street. read more

Due to the professional & efficient service, this is the 3rd time I went in the UPS store downtown Walnut Creek. A person named Seema listened carefully to my job load, my other associated tasks; and, without hesitation, she was on top of the job. It was such a relief as I've attempted to do such large tasks myself at similar stores; but, never got the support to finish the tasks properly. Seema as exceptional! To my surprise, too, the task was finished very efficiently; and, packages shipped overnight - more expeditious than I ever could have done myself! The only glitch can be the parking. Though a parking space has always worked out so far, you might need to give yourself a few extra minutes to find a space nearby. Don't go anywhere else. I bought a house last year and copied/ fax / and used their computer for all of my services and needs that I had for the purchase. I miss the old Owner... Today I'm trying to Refinance my loan and needed to fax a clearer copy of my drivers license. I had her make a nice clear copy and then asked her to fax it over... after the fax she said unfortunately this is what they see on their end... and black blurred square. I then said well I would not of paid to fax it over... she then replied " I did not know you were going to FAX IT" WTF... you faxed it for me.... And then she still charged me... Unfortunately, I have had bad experiences with this location when it comes to making sure their FedEx drivers pick-up packages in a timely manner. 4 times in the past 5 months I have dropped off a FedEx Package (from as small as an envelope to as large as box of documents) and each time, the "driver missed the package" and my shipments were delayed costing me an inordinate amount of hassle to rectify the situation. The owner of this location does not pay attention when packages are dropped off and does not check to make sure the drivers pick-up all the packages that are being collected and held in various different locations in the store (sometimes on the counter, sometimes in the corner, other timese here and there - it's a complete mess and has zero organization). When I call to complaint, I constantly here her pass the buck along to the drivers and give me a spiel about it being the drivers fault who is unpredictable and inconsistent and that fedex ground v. fedex air are completely different albeit admitting that it is her shop's responsibility to ensure that all packages dropped off by her customers are addressed timely. If you need something reliable - don't go here. If a location fails to make sure your packages go out on time as your shipment label indicates then they are not reliable. The Post Office and the FedEx locations could never get away with this type of service and neither should Main Street Postal. Unreliable. read more
