Had an appointment for a notorization. Got there a bit early and asked 20 minutes prior. Kid at the desk with the goofy hair said he wasnt in yet and should be back at 5:30 or "maybe 10 minutes after". I went back in at my time and am told by some other kid that he's in the hospital and wont be coming in. Like, why didnt you say that earlier instead of making me wait 30 minutes? When I asked for the manager he pointed to his buddy and said he was the manager. Then why is the kid you're saying the manager commenting about how he doesn't think the notary is coming back in today while you're making a claim that he's in the hospital? Either way, both employees had zero care for wasting my time and went so far as to say. "Man, there's nothing we could do about it. It's the system that made your appointment." Well, you have control of the system and are confident your buddy isn't coming back, so you pick up the damn phone and call people with appointments. Terrible customer service from two associates who refused to give their names. I had a customer packed return and asked one of them to help me rearrange it to properly close it, as I had more returns in my other hand and they refused. I explained it closes because it's in original packaging just needs to be moved around. Made me do it myself which took under a minute. Very unhelpful. Taller, scrawny boy with long curly hair and short Indian boy. Went to tell the "owner" I asked for their name and owner said they weren't comfortable and gave me his name instead??? "Max" didn't acknowledge his employees behavior. Proper customer service would've been to help the customer as much as possible despite who's responsibility it is. There is no need to hide employees name. Every other business makes it visible to customers for reasons like this. I did not need nor request the owners name as you weren't the one to attend me. I travel throughout Massachusetts on a weekly basis and find there are painfully few UPS stores around, so having found one in Worcester is a blessing. The employees are friendly and efficient, quickly moving customers through their store. Value? Well everything, including shipping has become very pricey, so there are no bargains there. They asked me to use there PC and print the label( charging me around $3.50) even though I had a barcode from UPS which once scanned by them will generate a shipping label ( this is something which is there on their website as well). Went in to print an attachment from email. Owner made me use the self-serve computer and charged $3. Next time, a clerk told me to just forward the email to them and charged me 21 cents. Went in a third time and owner tried to put me on the self-serve computer again. I asked why I couldn't just email what I needed printed so as not to pay for computer use. What in the holy hell??!! So, I took a 7.5# unwrapped item to ups for shipping cuz I was too lazy to box it up and find packing material. The worker measures it up and says, "for the box, bubblewrap and being fragile , without mailing, it is $97.00." I laughed, shook my head and said, what about just the shipping. Her quote? Two hundred and ninety eight dollars! To FREAKING CONNECTICUT!!! So, I don't care how much money you have, it'd cost almost $400 to send 9 lbs to the next state over?? Love the store. Always fast service, very easy to ship a package. Friendly. Has handicapped ramps. Their electronic shipping scanner/label enables returns to Amazon, other stores to refund my money fast - usually the same day I bring in the package for return. I prefer a USP box if I use UPS. They don't deliver to my past 2 buildings because the office is closed sometimes. Past residence rarely accepts packages. So, UPS places the package at a access point. That can cause problems traveling to it, getting my form to prove the package is mine... Using the UPS store is better. I usually use the USPS post office. Only UPS when Amazon... does not deliver to my PO. box. UPS store is a good 2nd option. read more

Their staff are wonderful and friendly, but whoever is in charge of posting notices about when certain services are available is doing a poor job. Specifically, I've had an awful experience trying to get one (1) release sheet notarized. First the one person doing it had gone home already, then they were on vacation, then they only had hours during my class hours. Please train more people to notarize documents so more times the store is open can be covered, and/or post a specific notice stating when notary services are available. read more

I'm not sure why this UPS store has such bad reviews. The last two times I've gone I never have had an issue. The staff is usually friendly and efficient. I'm usually in and out within 5-10 mins. Today I went to return something to amazon and needed a label printed, when I did the return slip on amazon it says i can print out the label at UPS for $1, I got there and they waved my fee which was surprising. Arrived at 5:57. In the door and in line at 5:58. At the counter at 6:00 pm exactly. The counter person asked me a few questions about my shipment, which was to be red label overnight. The counter person then told me that the shipping deadline (6:00 pm) for overnight had past, and the envelope wouldn't ship until 6 pm the next day, arriving in Boston (45 miles away) the day after the next day. At that point it was only 6:02, and there was no UPS truck in the driveway when I arrived five minutes earlier, and no UPS truck had left in the last 5 minutes. I asked if there was any way to ship the package out today, and she said I might be able to drive to UPS in Shrewsbury. I asked what time they closed. She said She didn't know. This place was once a reliable place for my shipments but I can tell there is a new shitty management. Before you come in, please call ahead to make sure they are open. Even though the sign says they are open at 8am, they don't actually open at the time. I came here on Wednesday 05/24/2016 at exactly 9:45am to drop off a package. I saw a lot of customers standing at the locked door confused and wondering why the place is closed at 10am on a Wednesday morning with no sign at the door to let anyone know what's going on. Wow what a huge rip off! I went to fax something from here because it was closer to my house than my office where I could've faxed for free. I thought since fax doesn't even cost them paper, it would be cheaper than the gas it'd take to drive to work. I was so wrong! The exact price for fax wasn't posted, so I assumed it would be around the posted price for making copies, which was also unclear but seemed to be around 30 cents a page (actually kind of steep compared to other office stores I've been to). The guy took my paper while doing two other things for other customers then left the room so I didn't get to ask him. By the time he came back, my fax was done so whatever the price was, I had to pay. SEVENTEEN DOLLARS for the 15 pages I gave him!!! I could have driven to Delaware with the gas I could have bought to send a fax at that price! I never, ever would have paid that if the price was posted or if the guy stayed around a minute so I could ask. I don't understand how they justify that exhorbitant amount. It doesn't even cost them paper or ink. It costs the recipient paper and ink. Nothing I can do about it now except never go there again and post here so others may be warned. read more

I went to this UPS store to send a quilted Christmas tree skirt to Colorado. The young man retrieved a box from the back and put it in the box. I asked if I could put a card in it before he taped it up, and, I put the card on top, it fell to the side, there was nothing else in the box, and he taped the top. The charges were $69! I didn't have time in the store to examine the sales slip as I am on oxygen and my ride had to get to work. There were $15 in charges on the receipt for "packing materials" not including the box. I immediately called the store and explained there were no packing materials in the box, as it was a quilted object, and I looked in the box right before it was closed. All I got in response was "I don't know anything about that m'am" over and over. NEVER again! Fraudulent charges. I will use the US postal service from now on. And, to top it all off, it was due to be delivered tomorrow, I tracked it today and "due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed". Rant over. read more

I have used this store many times, for shipping return receipt etc., and I have never had a problem. The clerks range from very helpful to, occasionally, a bit slow, but mostly the service has been good. If you think the rates at this store are high or the service is unreliable, try using the USPS in Worcester. I am constantly getting neighbors mail, and often my outgoing mail isn't even taken out of the box. read more

I'm surprised that this business has received so many negative reviews. I've been coming to this location for my printing and shipping needs for a while now, and I have to say, the staff has always been very kind and helpful, and they've even cheered me up on bad days! They took care of my printing needs as I waited. In fact, it is one of the few printing businesses I have been to that can do print projects as you wait. I'm sure that the wait changes with the level of volume, but they were always very understanding of my deadlines. The print quality is always great too, better than I expected from an establishment that is primarily a shipping office. I was entirely impressed when they could print two full color 18" x 24" posters right on spot for me. They told me that their machine was acting up, but if I was willing to wait a few minutes they'd print one test copy, and if the quality was terrible they wouldn't charge me. Well, the print came out beautiful! I give these guys a high rating for being professional and thoughtful. read more
