I adore this cafe! Their coffee is great but their chai tea is the best. I get the dirty chai here and it's the best I have had. The owners are lovely and their staff is so pleasant. They do an amazing job making everyone feel so welcome. Emily is newer employee here but you would never know it because she handles the crowds with ease and always has a smile on her face. They have a ton of seating outside but also a few tables inside + a booth. It is truly a lovely place to work, study or just hangout. Their breakfast, lunch and dinner are always great. I haven't spent much time in Wrightwood over the last 10 years, my family and I would come every couple weekends and hangout + in 5th grade my school came here for an outdoor learning trip for a week. Friendly little shop with a really small town feel. There looks like there's an area for performers and people to sit outside, but it was too cold for me to sit out there. There is a beautiful place to sit outside next to the counter. I ordered the pineapple Hefeweizen (they have it in bottles in the fridge). I also ordered a breakfast burrito with no meat (vegetarian here) and it was fantastic. My girlfriend, who was with me, ordered an apple cider and a spinach and feta pastry that she thoroughly enjoyed. The vibe in here is that of some one who just welcomed you into their home. Definitely take a minute to come in and check out the place and you won't regret coming in. OMG! Best Ham&Swiss sandwich ever! Literally! Tomato&basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and tomatoes combo hit the spot too! The IPA is legendary here-the locals at the visitor center up the street definitely gave great recommendation! AHHH!!! Okay so i fell in love with this place. Their sign that said "wine cellar" is what dragged me in. PSA don't go here if you have : COVID-19, racism or homophobia !! They make that very clear. Inside, the shop is filled with awesome decor. Lynette helped us and what a sweetheart she was!! She told us more about the owners / the business & it made me even happier to give my money to such an awesome place with awesome owners. We got a bottle of wine, chicken quesadilla and vegan chili ! I seem to be on a theme lately of "not fancy but super cozy good!" This little coffee, wine & snacks spot fits this description to a T!!! My husband & I took an impromptu pit stop into this town on our way to Victorville. The weather was super icey and this little town was the perfect setting to freeze our butts off on a walk. Felt like we were in a Christmas movie. LOL. Anyway the village is about a block long. No joke! So you can imagine there are not a ton of places to choose from when it comes to food & beverage. But this place looked welcoming so we popped in. So glad we did. DOAH & ANNIE were working the counter and they were awesome. Doah had me pegged on a sweets girl before I even opened my mouth, suggesting the Chai Tea Latte or Hot Cocoa - at ANNIE'S suggestions I went with the Chai which was heavenly! Smooth, creamy and sweet ... just like I like it. While ordering I eyeballed some goodies fresh out the oven on the counter. TOFFEE SCONES FROM SCRATCH. Only 2 left so we grabbed one. I loved that is wasn't a cakey scone. It was more like a super cookie. We had it warmed up ... it was so good I'm starting to crave one now as I type & of course I sent hubby back to buy the last one!!!!! I had only planned to spend enough time in here to warm up my bones with a cup of sugary goodness ... but we spent at least an hour if not longer just hanging out talking to the 2 ladies & locals. Felt like we were sitting at the kitchen table of a really cool, favorite aunt. Extremely cozy! I bought a wine bottle that had string lights placed inside with 2 handmade wine bottles. The coolest sentimental & random decor piece that I now have in my kitchen at home ... for 15 bucks!!!! Love that this place was affordable. I have a disability requiring a service dog. I was told service dogs were not welcome inside the Village Grind, I was offered outside seating, however it was 20 degrees out, all the table and chairs were covered in snow. I tried to explain to the server my disability and my life saving service dog could not be denied access according to federal law, unfortunately she wouldn't listen to a word I said, only to repeat herself that I could be served outside. Village Grind is in violation of Federal and California law. If you care about persons with disabilities, please avoid Village Grind they obviously don't care about us. read more

First time here today, the espresso was strong and flavorful, not sure what kind of roast but it tasted a little blonde to me? Or maybe wasn't a dark roast it had a little bitterness to it which I liked. I got an iced banana bread latte it tasted just like banana bread! But I will definitely order it a LITTLE sweeter next time I know I know but I'm a glutton for the banana flavor. I wanted more! And it came up shortly after I ordered it great service.
