Perfect Spring day! All doors and windows were open out on to Main Street. Made for perfect people watching. We got there before the dinner rush. I always get their chicken noodle soup no matter what time of year and it didn't disappoint!

While seemingly to be primarily a Sports Bar, the restaurant and bar offers opportunities for extra entertainment. There is usually live music or a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast is available on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9AM until noon. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday until 7PM with some half priced specials for certain beers, wine, and drinks available. There are also some appetizers available for half price. Check with your server, the specials do change. The waitstaff service is very good and food is also very good. There are healthy options available which you do not always find at a bar. You can also ask for grilled chicken instead of fried chicken on most menu items. For the Sports Bar part, there are game specials available and televisions occupying the walls in the bar and dining room area. Overall, a good place to watch a game, enjoy a happy hour, get a good meal, or a night out on the weekend.

This is a nice spot just above a dive bar. The bartender was a sweetie. A nice addition to the strip and open late.

Came here for lunch with my boyfriend and my stepdad. We started with the stoopid sampler to share. It had wings, mini chicken tacos, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles and onion rings. Nice variety and everything was tasty. For my meal I had the ahi tuna wrap. It had ahi tuna, avocado, mixed greens, wasabi mayo & teriyaki drizzle. It was very good! I got sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. They were good. My boyfriend had the Bavarian burger. It was topped with sautéed onions and beer cheese. He said it was really good. He said it had so much cheese that he ended up having cheese fries. So much cheese is never a problem. My stepdad had the groovin Reuben sandwich. It had sliced corned beef, melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut & Russian dressing on toasted rye. He said it was good. He did however say that his fries were undercooked. Service was good. We will be back!

I figured I could at least get a decent beer and a laugh at Idiots Pub, but nope. The selection was weak, and the bartender was less interested in serving drinks than debating obscure foreign policy from the Nixon era. If that's your idea of a good time, go for it, but I won't be back. They are a disservice to all immigrants in the Patchogue and NY area.

Groupon was good value! Only the wait wasn't worth it.... 1 hour 15 mins for our food to come out? No thanks! Not going back, sorry.

The food was cold, service was extremely slow. Asked for water never received. To many great places in patchogue to try again.

Now let me start off by saying that my best work comes on the pitch and putt course, but that doesn't stop me from making a fool of myself while the guys on the simulators next to us are absolutely demolishing the ball. You don't need to worry about bringing your own clubs as they do have rentals, but you can bring your own too. We did a two hour rental in the afternoon and only booked the day before with no issues. The staff were some of the nicest and most helpful guys I've had the pleasure of doing business with, they even gave us some extra time since we showed up a little late and there weren't any other rentals after us. Good selection of drinks and if you're hungry, they don't have their own kitchen but they have a deal with Rhum next door to order food, which is some good tasty bar food. I love the sort of mid century modern style they have going on, it fits the golf atmosphere, but none of the snobiness that it usually brings with the sport. Parking can be a little tricky, but there are a bunch of lots around (some paid, some not) which are likely your best bet, even if that means you'll have a short walk. Might just be my favorite bar in patchogue, golf or otherwise, and will gladly comeback here any time.

The menu is huge, tons of food, cocktails, and drinks to choose from. We started with the soft pretzel (a hit even with my picky husband, it practically melts in your mouth), sliders, and the Big Mac fries topped with buffalo chicken and mac and cheese. All incredible. The wings are the star here, an amazing selection of sauces. We tried five, including mango habanero and sweet chili, ordered well done with sauce on the side so the kids could customize theirs. We also got the black Angus burger cooked medium rare, cooked perfectly, plus chicken tenders for the kids. Save room for dessert, the ice cream cookie pizza, Reese's peanut butter pie, and funnel cake fries were all fantastic. And the arcade in the back was the perfect bonus, we won a couple of ducks and had a blast. Great vibe, generous portions, and something for everyone whether it's a girls' night or a family outing. Highly recommend, and parking nearby in Patchogue was easy too.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

Better late than never on using it to get this five star review written up! But seriously, I thought I knew downtown Patchogue pretty well, and yet I never noticed or heard anyone really going to WhiskeyNeat until that gift card was in her possession. When we went for dinner, it was a Wednesday night on the earlier side and at the time, no one was inside this relatively small yet cozy-ish bar/pub place. I thought perhaps things here aren't that great, but by the time we left, the inside was almost full, and my feelings were definitely wrong. This place is great! Now these Wednesday crowds could be due to the half price options they throw out there all day long. ANY drink at WhiskeyNeat is half off on hump day plus there are a handful of small plates that also follow this discounted direction. I'll say things might be a little pricier if you're not coming here in the middle of the week, but it's well worth making the trip to slash at least your drinks (and maybe some grub) in two. Enough about all that because the food, drinks, and service is where this place really shines. I downed two of their bourbon cocktails (Goldrush and Billionaire) both being outstanding in taste and quality (my wife enjoyed a well-made margarita). Food-wise, we sampled some hand cut fries (delicious), short rib croquettes (delectable), a mahi taco (fresh), pulled pork slider (tender), gochujang wings (zingy), and a twice baked potato (creamy). All these items were half price (reminder, they were small plates of grub so don't freak for how much we ate). We also paid full menu price to try a side of hot honey cauliflower which was fantastic as well. Before wrapping up, I do want to give a shout out to the staff or at least our waitress who was friendly, helpful in giving us drink options, and chatted with us a bit about WhiskeyNeat and other good nearby food spots. She guided us through the menu on what to order and even realized she had forgotten to put in one of our small plate orders without us asking. Good service always helps in reaching a full slew of Yelp stars. Overall, it may have taken almost two years to use the gift card to WhiskeyNeat, but I'm glad we finally did because dang was it a superb meal. Our waitress said "You'll be back" once we told her it was our first time and even before we had finished eating everything. I mean hard to disagree with that statement. Perhaps I'd aim to save some mulah and only come on a Wednesday, but with great drinks and grub to be had, it might just be worth coming any time, gift card or not!

I had to go to the UPS store (avoided rude unpleasant character in Shirley), and saw Howard's Cafe. Looked it up here, seemed great. Went in, and greeted by really NICE people! And they have GLUTEN-FREE rolls! Caryn came to seat me and take my order. She was the BEST! She didn't know if the turkey burgers had breadcrumbs, so I went with the grilled chicken. I also decided that I deserved bacon, so got the Mary, Mary topping--bacon, mushrooms, and sautéed onions. Entrees come with a salad, which arrived in a bowl topped by another bowl, with two things of dressing and croutons on the side. Caryn didn't think that I could have the croutons, and she was right. The salad was iceberg lettuce, which I hadn't had in YEARS, lol, with tomato and red onion. And a shaker of BAC-O's!! Oh my. Hadn't had those in 30 years. Very salty, which explains why. There was a choice of skinny fries (boo), steak fries, or sweet potato fries. I got the steak fries, which were wedges. Yum! The grilled chicken was yummy and generous, the bun was TOASTED (yay), and the toppings piled high. So good! A tad dry, but Caryn brought me some mayo. I forgot to order cheese. Ack. This is a nice place, with a bar filled with convivial locals, a cheerful bartender, and the marvelous Caryn. There are booths and tables. The iced tea came with two slices of lemon! I was SHOCKED when I got the bill. SHOCKED. It was $20.06 for a LOT of food and an iced tea! I took half the sandwich home because I couldn't finish it. I did finish all the salad--and Caryn asked if I would like more (declined)--and all the fries. Astonishing. What a great value!! That seems so rare these days. I had looked at the menus of a couple of other nearby places. Very glad that I chose this one. Sad that it's not near me, but I'll be back.

I had the dogfish head 60 minute IPA. Really good, very cold which is a huge plus. App was shrimp wonton tacos. Good, not great, small portion but not bad as part of a price fixe item. Crispy shell, fresh shrimp. Main was chipotle chicken wrap. Very good. Not dry with a nice blend of cheese, a little kick as well.
