Came in for an annual eye exam. Large clean lobby area. Greeted upon approaching the reception desk. Filled out paperwork and was brought to the back for a couple exams before meeting with the optometrist. The optometrist came in. No small talk, right to business. When the optometrist asked why I came in, I explained I was considering changing contact brands and opting for a different length of use for contacts. That went unheard as the optometrist presented me a similar style of contact, I was using just a different brand. After the exam, I sat with the person that handles what is to be ordered. He was kind enough to give me prices for contacts and glasses using my insurance to see what would get me the most bang for my buck. This is where the optometrists suggest of contacts came into play. The price. I feel being unheard of what I wanted, I was stuck with the option given. Mainly because I enjoyed how the new contact felt compared to my old brand. However, I didn't have the option I asked about to compare. It's that moment of "well I'm here, this is what I got, I'll get this then". I was contacted when my glasses were ready for pickup. Prior to that, I inquired about my contacts. The person that answered the phone said they hadn't been ordered yet. This was a week after my exam. I didn't receive any tracking information. When I came in to pick up my glasses, I asked about the tracking number for the contacts. The woman helping me couldn't locate the tracking number for the contacts. VERY concerning. Eventually the contacts arrived. It felt a bit disorganized compared how to visually organize the establishment is when you walk in. read more

I have been coming to this location for years. This is by far my favorite location to come to and I live in Henderson. Beverly is the absolute best! By far the best front desk in the company! and I have been to both the lake mead location and st rose location. Beverly goes above and beyond to make sure my life is easier by not worrying about my contact orders or waiting for shipment. Someone give her a raise. Her customer service is top tier and has never changed since I started going here in 2018. I refuse to go back to the st rose location. No thanks. Dr chiodo is so nice and welcoming. The only downside I could say is the scheduling for exams. They are almost always booked for a couple of weeks. Probably because they have the best team. But it is definitely worth it. read more

I started seeing Dr. Chiodo early in 2020. I changed employers and was amazed to learn that the insurance I now have (which includes a supplemental plan I pay out of pocket) pays 100% of my very expensive multifocal contacts due to a medically necessary provision. Not only did the front office understand the stipulations of medical necessity in this case, they successfully submitted the claim for zero copay on my end. This saved me at least $1000 for a year's contacts supply, which enabled me to pay out of pocket for a new pair of glasses. Beverly in the front office is one of the most conscientious medical professionals I've ever worked with. She's always calm and reassuring - top of her game at all times. Went to have my annual eye exam and never completed my visit. I waited 45mins for absolutely nothing. The place had 1 person getting their eye exam. If you take an hour per patient book appointments in hour increments. Patients time are valuable as well. Waste of my time and the place was dark and dirty. read more

I wanted new glasses for my wedding, as my current ones were transitions and do not do well in pictures. And, everyone knows me with glasses on. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that I would be able to get my glasses by 6/4 - my wedding day. They would tell the lab it is a "rush order." At my appointment, I again asked if I would be able to get them by my wedding, and the associate said yes, and they would be sent out that day. They actually were sent out 3 business days AFTER my appointment. NOT the same day. They were not ready the day before my wedding, but I was told they would ship my glasses overnight and I could pick them up on Saturday. I thought, Great! They made a mistake, but they are fixing it!! Well, I called on Saturday to make sure they were ready....and they were closed. Their lies had made my wedding day much more stressful than it needed to be. At any point during this experience, they could have been honest and said "No, your glasses won't be here in time." If that was the case, I could have gotten fake ones just for that day. But, I was lied to when I made my appointment, at my appointment, and when I called the day before my wedding. How can someone tell me that I can pick up my glasses on a day when they are closed? read more

The absolute worst when it comes to glasses. The optometrists are perfect! 5 stars for the doctor. Idk what lab they use for glasses but at the rate of how poor the quality is they need to find a new lab. My CHANEL glasses have been gone for over a month. First the excuse was the holidays even though I was told it would take 10 days.. it ended up taking over 3 weeks. Finally I called them because no one called me to update me at all, and they said my frames just arrived and the optician will be in tomorrow so I can pickup tomorrow. I called again the next day when I supposed to pick up because again, they don't contact me so I have to contact them and can't trust their timeline clearly. Now they tell me the lab cut the lenses incorrectly. So the lab that had the frames in front of them, cut the lenses incorrectly? This is the second time I have had an issue with the ordering and receiving of my glasses from this location. Ridiculous & I wish I could keep the doctor but use a new lab/receptionist read more

The doctor is super great and friendly, I wish all of my doctors were as awesome as him! The girls at the front office are always so nice and get me checked in right away. I was searching for an optometrist that was in my area and also took my insurance. I called one day & they had an available appointment time that day. I tried to look up Yelp reviews, but there was only one before me. Nonetheless, I gave this place a shot. The office is very clean and modern. Dr. Podloski is amazing! He was very sweet and made sure he answered any questions that I had. The only downfall to this place is that it is extremely pricey, which is why I took a star off. Even with my insurance, getting a new pair of glasses would've cost me $500+. I decided to just take my prescription & go elsewhere. Still, the staff was very patient and helpful when it came to helping me choose a pair. Will come back for future eye exams. read more

This place was the worst, do not go here. First I was told to arrive 15 min early, which I did just to wait an hour to be seen. There was no explanation of the wait or apology until I questioned what was going on. I had to reschedule another appointment because of this. The person I saw, Steven Chung had no clue what he was doing. It took him multiple attempts to get my IOP reading and in doing so I believe he scratched my cornea because my left eye has been sore since I left. The entire purpose of my visit was to get my pressure checked and get a new rx for my eye drops. Then he informs me that nobody there is licensed to write a prescription for eye drops. WAIT WHAT??? Yes, you read that right. What kind of optometrist office isn't licensed for writing an rx?? Trust me I will never be back and this place should be closed down. If my eye pain doesn't go away I will be contacting my attorney. Now I have to go to another doctor and pay out of pocket since I used my annual benefit at this joke of an office. I've been pretty much blind since the young age of 7 and I've been too a numerous of optometrists and vision center. This place is probably the most easy going, hassle free environment I've ever been to. Dr. Podloski was so much fun. I had quite a few laughs with him but he is very personable and he ensured I felt comfortable. When I traveled to Vegas and forgot to pack an extra set of contacts, the ladies at The Vision Centers on Rainbow came to my rescue. We were walking the strip during a windstorm and the Nevada sand was burning my eyes. Since I always pack an extra set or two of contacts, I didn't think anything of throwing out my disposables that night. The next morning I realized my mistake when I opened my toiletry kit and found just one contact in the box! Damn! I made one call to The Vision Centers and asked if it would be possible to get a sample contact in my prescription. "Of course," they said. No charge, no hassle, no problem. Thank you!
