I no longer do business with these guys. Out of fairness to them, I will say that I probably should not be a Volvo owner. When I purchased my Volvo, I could afford the payments, but like so many, I was laid off during the recession and my lifestyle has changed a bit. I still have the Volvo but as you owners know, maintenance is expensive OK, where to begin? You know the panel under the engine that protects it from water? Well, on three different occasions, they failed to inform me that there where screws missing that hold the panel up (that's right, 3 different times they did not tell me about this). On the three occasions that I had to go back, I explained that my windshield washer reservoir was not holding fluid. They fixed it 3 times and each time they gave me a lame excuse that they new there was a defect with it and that they knew what was wrong. (Then why did it take them 3 times to get it right?) Here's the deal. This is my opinion, but I think that since I would not allow them to take care of more costly repairs, that they did not want my small repairs to deal with. Bad customer service... Had an appointment for 10am, but was told it would be 1 1/2 hours. That the appointment time was for write up only.... Who ever herd of an appointment to write up a service order for an oil change? They are really slow...... Orlando needs another Volvo location with better customer service. We took a test drive yesterday in a beautiful Volvo...this would be the 3rd Volvo in my wife's driving life....we were very excited. We dressed down for the occasion...were treated great by the staff. Our salesman, Chris, was quite knowledgeable about the tech in the car. Everything was awesome except that the only way we were going to get a car that day was to pay full sticker and figure out the financing. I think we will eventually find a Volvo and get rocking....I'd say it's be a tough time to be a salesman...my take is they have too few cars and have to milk every bit of profit out of each one. Service? I already know how expensive that is...I will say that my wife started with a 144 back when they were round on the corners...and we never felt like they were cheap to maintain or something that fell apart before it's time. At the end of the day, they didn't have a car for us, or a path to get one...next up: branching out to other dealers....not looking forward to that, but in this day, it is what must be done... read more

I had an issue after purchasing a used v60 wagon whereas a tow cover was missing and I told the Ops Mgr about it and he took care of getting it replaced, painted, and mailed it to my residence. All I had to do was pop it in and good as new!! Thanks so much for doing this and I really like the service and time you spent with me while getting this issue resolved. I had a beautiful 2013 XC60 with 50,000 miles. Brought it in for an oil change & new tires. They talked me into a transmission flush. I arrived at 8am. At 5pm my car was not ready although they told me to come get it. Waited until 8pm. The car was so out of alignment/ balance I stopped on the way home, parked it & called an Uber. Next day went to bring it back & wouldn't go into gear. Final went into drive & once back "oops, we forgot to refill the transmission fluid". I ended up at Disney Car Care who charged $59 to fix the alignment they never got correct. Car was clicking and chugging after the tranny issue, and I ended up buying a new XC60. Mine was fully paid off & I loved it before this crap dealer destroyed it. Do NOT use this dealer. I bought from Borton in MN & happily drive 2 days for service to avoid these horrible techs! read more

So i took my s40 in because it wouldn't start and I was told that it had to do with something with the brakes. Then I was told well I think that you need a new starter. Then it was a timing belt, and the list grew from there. They told me that I needed $11,000 in essential repairs. I said that I only paid $2000 for the car and would buy a new car before putting that kind of money into this. They are charging me 2400 for a car that still will not start because I refused to have a 1200 starter installed. This is a very sketchy place and they do not disclose the information until it's too late! I highly recommend NOT using this place. read more

The Volvo Store of Orlando is as good as it could possible get--when it comes to a car buying experience. This is a 10/10 dealership--period. We recently purchased an XC-40, and our salesman was Tim Cook. Frankly, Tim is an absolute rock-star salesman to the Nth Degree. He knows the cars inside and out, is as honest a gentleman as you will ever come across, and has communications skills that are unmatched in any business line. In the end--Tim is a Pro's Pro--best way I can describe him. Furthermore, every person within this staff was professional, courteous, and knew their jobs. From finance, to billing, to scheduling maintenance, training of the entire vehicle--and dealer processes--this entire experience was stellar. Had a 10:30am Appointment for a oil change. Waited two hours and texted Mike with no response. Waited 15 more minutes then went to desk was informed this takes about 2 hours. Texted Mike again after about 15 more minutes still no answer After 1pm I asked to speak with the Service Manager he went to the back and shortly afterwards I got my car. Purchased a new Volvo from dealer in Tampa as opposed to Winterpark, as they had better selection and pricing. Yesterday our fuel cap refused to open. We drove to Winterpark , they were so unhelpful. One of the sales guys actually admitted , they would have helped us by giving us a loaner car, whilst our car was dealt with in service the next day, had we purchased with them! We assumed as a Volvo dealer, they would have helped. This was not the case. We contacted Volvo, the representative had no luck with the dealers. After 50 minutes, the manager finally came out to us and assisted us. Lesson learned. Will take our servicing elsewhere , and would not recommend this dealership. read more

They simply sent out a mass email on 2/11/2011 asking anyone to write a positive review. Two years ago, my wife and I had the worst car shopping experience. Thanks to the Volvo Store, we have a new story! We walked into the trailer serving as the office and were greeted by the receptionist who took the time to talk us through the upcoming changes to the dealership. She then passed us off to the next 'salesman' who was up. Up for what, I don't know, but certainly not helping us. Never introduced himself, asked for our names, or anything except which vehicle we were interested (the XC60 and 90.) So, we get the 60, go for a quick drive. And he pulls out his phone and starts playing on it. My wife (who was driving) asks where we should go, as we're not from the area. He says, turn here. She has to ask, left or right. He says, either way. Super helpful! He proceeds to talk about features, (I can tell you how many USB ports it has now,) and how great the stereo is. Which he then turns on 11. That's cool, I don't need hearing. We get into the XC90 next, and the fun begins in earnest. My wife accidentally hit the headrest button, so I get knocked in the head. Which is fine, she doesn't know the car. He asks why she likes the 90, she says because of the roominess. He says no one buys the 90, everyone buys the 60. She says I need the space. He says people buy the 60. Fantastic sales technique! As the salesman is asking what she doesn't like about the car, she points out visibility, he says you can drop the headrests, she says she did by accident and hit my husband, he continues to talk about it, I say please don't push it, and he presses the button anyway. I get knocked again on the back of the head. I say, you just hit me in the head with the headrest, and he says nothing, no apology. After that, I was done. She realized it, returned the car, and that was that. No follow up, never asked for our info, and the Volvo Store will not be getting our business. And my head still hurts. read more

I just had a GREAT service experience provided by Tim Estler who is a service technician at The Volvo Store. I currently drive a Volvo Cross Country Wagon and one of the headlights recently went out. Upon reading the owner's manual in the car, the diagrams led me to believe that the installation would be a breeze. After purchasing the bulb myself, I opened up my hood to find that the manual drastically understated the ease of access to the Low Beam bulb that I was intending to replace. Tim had previously been recommended to me as a contact at the Volvo Store, and done basic maintenance on my car in the past. When I called him with my concern, he kindly mentioned that there were just a few crucial steps and techniques that I needed to be aware of in order to complete the installation. That's right, he TALKED me through it for a little over 10 minutes and helped get me around all the components that stood in my way. Tim was polite, knew EVERY piece of equipment that I needed to touch in order to access and replace this bulb (without even being there), and most importantly didn't insist that I bring my car in for this routine repair. He was friendly and willing to help, and even offered me a "way to go" when it was all over. Thanks for the great service, Tim, and thanks for the complimentary pat on the back. I leased an s60 at Volvo North Miami with no problem, and since had to move to Orlando/Winter Park, and a project kept me in Vero Beach and Palm Beach, most inconveniently, and I was over miles. I am moving abroad was trying to figure out the best course of action. The entire team at Volvo Winter Park was incredibly rude. At a loss and a greater inconvenience, I will be buying it from North Miami Volvo, and leaving it in Winter Park. It should not matter where one returns a product or buys a product, customer service as part of a franchise, especially purporting themselves as family run establishment, should be friendly, or uniform, or at the very least on brand. It is definitely not a sexy transaction nor one in which a sales agent would be particularly excited to work on, however it would have been someplace where I would get the car serviced when I return to Winter Park, where the car will be, and the franchise and family loses money. I love my Volvo but the options were presented to me in such a way, that I most certainly will be driving to North Miami or a third party for service, rather than that location. This was my reply to our local dealer in Winter Park after receiving a 3-year Happy Anniversary e-mail (which was 9/27) Hello! Just wanted to let you know we sold our 2011 Volvo C30 last weekend on Sunday 9/22 We purchased a fully loaded Infiniti G37 Sport Coupe (and I was in shorts and a T-shirt, my wife was in jeans and t-shirt and sandals) We got sick and tired with all the issues and dreaded putting up with the poor service, unprofessional attitudes of service personnel, having to lose 1/2 day to take the car in, then another 1/2 day taking the vehicle back to actually have it worked on. (this happened TWICE to us, once with suspension issues, second with a Fog light bulb that we had called ahead of time to get replaced) Most recent was the HVAC intermittently working and HVAC fan had a mind of its own, changing speeds at random I will NEVER forget my FIRST service visit, where the service greeter, who raised his voice and CURSED at me for being an idiot and a moron for having a 3M clear Bra on the car and how I wasted my money and then adding about the K&N drop in filter that will damage my vehicle since HIS K&N filter caused over $2000 in damage to his throttle body on his Honda minivan. Being an engineer, teaching nuclear engineering, nuclear plant theory, operation and all supporting systems including HVAC theory, operation, turbines, gasoline engines, etc. I could have EASILY set this gentlemen straight with his error in thinking. But I preferred to be a better person and keep my mouth shut. Based n his vocabulary and use of 4 and 5 letter words, I would likely have been a loss. Issues with vehicle: 1. Left Front suspension (service bulletin, thought we could have right side done at same time. When leaving dealership with left side repair complete, had same issue with right... had to bring it back AGAIN) 2. Right Front suspension 3. Left front tire: (Made thumping noise after tire rotated @7500 miles. After 6 tries to fix, we finally purchased a new tire to resolve) 4. Fog light Bulb (bulb not in stock in store even though I called a week ahead of time, I could have changed it myself) 5. Fuel Pump 6. Fuel Pump Relay 7. Ignition switch 8. HVAC system (never took the vehicle in, traded it in. Let the next person fight with dealer with it) 9. HVAC Fan I performed the 37,500 service myself and changed the oil and filter myself with Mobil One because the thought of coming into your dealership again. I am an engineer making a six figure salary. When I came in dressed in a shirt and tie, I was treated well and with respect. When I came in shorts and t-shirt, I was treated like a low life. I purposely dressed down. The gentlemen at the parts counter acts like a stuck up snob when I asked about available accessories. (maybe because I was in shorts) I had no problem buying $800 of accessories from Ocala Volvo though. They were very happy to take my money! I purchased a Volvo this month and I can say that it was about as pleasant as buying a car can be. Joseph Thomas was my sales associate and he was very pleasant, up front, informative, and easy going. Seems like a real stand-up fella. He even set us straight on how to use our kids' car seat. Embarassing as hell, but we were doing something incorrectly and we are very grateful to be set straight. As for service, I haven't had to deal with that yet. I am currently serving with the military overseas and I came to Orlando for a work conference. My husband and I are both planning on purchasing Volvo's though the overseas military deal before we come back to the states next year, so I decided to take this opportunity to take a Volvo for a test drive. First, I told the salesmen about the car I was interested in and he acted like I couldn't afford it. Second, when I asked to test drive the V60, he told me that he only had 3 salesman on the floor and didn't have time to let me drive it. Let's just say I'm stationed far East overseas and won't have the opportunity to give the Volvo a test drive. This was my shot and the salesman dismissed me. Scott and I are extremely pleased with our experience purchasing our second XC 90 with Tim Cook at the Volvo store. To put it simply, the Volvo Store's customer service and professionalism is top notch. It is rare to see a dealership retain its employees for many years. This familiarity made the sale enjoyable and comfortable for our family. Initially, we were a bit nervous car shopping during COVID 19. Fortunately for us, Tim worked with us intently over the phone before we made the two hour drive to Orlando. When we arrived, Tim had all of the cars that we were interested in ready to show. It was also helpful that they had a plentiful selection of cars, and up to date stock specifications online. The Volvo Store had what we wanted and more. Tim definitely knows his product and took time to explain the features of each car. He even had a USB with great music to play on the Bowers and Wilkins stereo. Additionally, the sales process was seamless and timely, which was a great help since we had our two children along. Scott and I were satisfied with the great incentives and fair price for our trade. Upon entering the clean, new building, we were pleased to see that all of the employees donned masks and were taking appropriate precautions to keep us safe. The process of signing our paperwork was also efficient. We were happy to have the option of purchasing a 10 year extended warranty, since we plan to pass the car to our son down the road. I was looking to purchase a vehicle while still being caught in covid-19 quarantine in Panama. I felt that I had found the right vehicle and contacted the internet managers. We worked together back and forth, and reached a deal on the vehicle. I was having issues with their financing forms online but I was arriving in Orlando Monday afternoon and figured that I could get everything completed online or at the dealership on Tuesday. As soon as we got settled in our hotel I checked email to find three messages, 2 from the dealership to say oops we sold the car by mistake, and 1 from Volvo customer service to make sure that the dealership was taking care of me. Needless to say, I replied to all 3, not rudely but to definitely express my unhappiness over how unprofessional this was, couldn't they have just put a pending sale sign on the vehicle? Got back 3 'oh we are so sorry, it sometimes happens but we are very customer service oriented ' blah, blah, blah. I was in management in retail, customer service, and sales for almost 40 years; when I or my team messed up yes we apologized, but we also tried to make things right. I know that this was a great vehicle and it would go quickly, that's why I jumped on it. I also know that they don't have another one like it or in the same price range. But what really ticks me off is they made no effort to try and work out something. They were just 'sorry, these things happen in the car business '. Not really a great response. Unless you reek with old Winter Park money don't waste your time with this third rate dealership. I was forewarned the staff was rude but they took it to a whole other level. Do to a new grandbaby my wife wanted to get rid of her Volvo C70 for a small cross over she could put a car seat in. She didn't even want a Volvo because they where too big but I showed her CX40 and she liked it. So, off to Winter Park to look at one and lo and behold they don't have a single one to look at. Seems Volvo started running their mouth before they but their factories in gear and they are rare as hen's teeth. ( according to Winter Park Volvo ) Well after doing a car search I find out Winter Park Volvo is actually the only dealership in a major metropolitan area within a two hundred mile radius that doesn't have one which speaks volumes of what Volvo actually thinks of their dealership. So off to Daytona to look at one where we were treated superbly. Only problem was they didn't have what we wanted. They said it would take four to six months to get it in if we bought at a dealership and six to nine months if we ordered it online. My wife being the loyal customer said if we had to order it and wait she wanted buy it at Winter Park so back to Winter Park we go. I tried to call for two days to figure out how to purchase a vehicle that far out and what to do with my trade in. No one would even call me back! I finally got in touch with one of their sales managers and when I mentioned a trade in I suddenly felt like I was in the old "Seinfeld the Soup Nazi" skit. He got rude, crude and said he would call me back. Never heard from him. Bought a Volvo from Jacksonville the next day. Seriously! unless you wreak from old Winter Park money stay away from these people read more

So much wrong with our latest experience I can barely tell it all. Brought in car to be serviced. No one greeted me. I had to go into the office, and no one acknowledges me. Finally, someone walks through. And offers to help. It was lunch hour and service dept.closes down over lunch. This is the third time we've been there for service, and it's been that way each time, not just over lunch. We had an appointment to talk about buying a new car. Turns out the salesman we needed to talk to was sick, out for 5 days, but no one bothered to let us know. Since we wanted to set up overseas delivery, no one else could really help us in any way but talk about the cars. I knew as much about the car as the salesman. It took over 2 and 1/2 hours for an oil change that cost $90. Decided not to buy another Volvo. read more

Horrible service! I would never step another foot into this location. I drive to Clearwater just to get service on my Volvo because it is THAT bad. Let's see.. First off when you walk in not one out of the sometimes 5 people greet you. They either are texting or standing looking at the computer screen completely ignoring the fact you walked in. Most dealers will greet you under the service drive thru. Even when they do greet you it's like your bothering them. They charge a lot more then any other Volvo dealers I have visited. For instance Volvo of Clearwater charges $30 for an oil change, they charge $100. Also takes forever to do anything to your car and no updates on what's going on as you're waiting for hours. It's a shame this is the only dealer in Orlando. Which is why you don't see many new Volvos in the area and why they get away with the horrible service. Not to mention the new cars they do have in stock are all over priced and not a good selection at all. Just don't go here it will be worth it to drive to another dealer, I promise. read more

Customer service is not a priority. I bought a new S90 that is now vibrating anytime I go faster than 10 miles and safety is a major issues especially when on the freeway at faster speeds. I was told that the soonest they can schedule an appointment is 2 weeks away (called on 10/2, appointment is 10/20). Exactly how much money do I have to pay for a car to get any kind of respect. $35,000 wasnt enough I have complained about noise under hood at every oil change and even left it over night a couple of days. They dont hear it but everybody that gets in my car does. I dont know any dealership even when you dont spend a lot for car that they dont wash your car when in for service. Same excuse everytime , they are shocked that wasnt done and if you want to wait another 30 minutes they will get right on it. I bought my 2004 Volvo V70 elsewhere. Whenever I take my car in to The Volvo Store everyone has been very kind and helpful. Tim Estler took time to explain the hows and whys of some work I had done and reassured me which I really appreciated. I have been in a couple of times since to attend to warning messages coming up on the dashboard, top ups, bulb failure. There is always someone there to take care of me straight away and I don't ever feel I am going to be charged unnecessarily - just the opposite - and it is always done with a good grace. read more

So I buy an absolutely pristine '07 S80 with 95k miles on it. Unbelievable the condition it is in. The owner had the original records dating back to about 13,000 miles with almost all the service work done by The Volvo Store. On my second day of ownership I replace the key fob battery and evidently it loses the program. I call the Volvo Store figuring previous owner must have been happy. They tell me it will cost $132 just to bring the car in and $88 to program the fob. So $220 plus tax plus any shop fees, etc they might charge. Thinking that's outrageous, I call Volvo in Bellevue WA where I used to live years ago. (Bellevue is an upscale suburb of Seattle. Both are expensive.) They say bring in the car and all keys because they all have to be reprogrammed. (Does that mean Volvo Store would charge me another $88 for my other fob that they did not mention?) Total cost $70!!! Meanwhile not being able to get hold of the service dept.to ask if the program being lost when changing batteries is a common occurrence I left a message. Today passes and no return call from them. Go to them for anything? I think NOT. read more

I will never do business with them! Usually I don't trust online review 100%, but I learn a lesson that I really should trust the negative reviews about this dealer, and never go to them. I was seriously planning to buy a 2013 XC90, but they made me to rethink if I really want to be a volvo owner. I made a quote online from them but NO ONE ever replied. It it wierd because you usually get quotes and cals from sales quickly, and yes other dealers did, but these guys, they proved that they just don't want to do business. I still decided to stop by in person and I called 1 day before my visit to make an appointment because I wanted to make sure when I come in there is someone to serve me. I arrived on time, with my check book because I will buy it immediately if we can make a deal. And 5 minutes later the sales came to me saying give them a couple of minutes and if he cannot be with me he would find someone else, which sounds good, but I WAS SO WRONG. After 45 min, a guy who seems more senior came to me and said he promised someone will helping me in a few minutes, and this time another guy did came, but after asking me some random questions he disappeared again, promising me he'll be back in "a few minutes", but he never showed up before I left. I waited more than 1 hour 30 minutes, without anyone even giving me a brocher or something, not to mention showing me the car I am interested. read more
