We sat at a table for awhile but finally asked the bartender to request our server. A server came over and said she would let our server know we were waiting. After 20 minutes we decided to move to seats at the bar. The bartenders are the reason for two stars. They were so nice and were constantly checking on their customers. The confusing part is that you can't order food from the bartenders. So we had to wait for a server....ugghhhh! The funny (well, not so funny) part is the server comes over and asks if we were sitting at a table for awhile....when we said yes she said was busy eating her chicken tenders and didn't know that was her section. Just completely laughed it off. So now we were stuck sitting at the bar and still had her as a server. It turned out ok though. Just a confusing process having to pay two separate checks. Then we couldn't use our casino coupons or comps for the drinks. We had to pay with our credit card. The food was ok. The peel n eat shrimp were the best in taste and value. I attended the HQ2 Beachclub at Ocean Casino Resort with a group of friends to see Afrojack. The…read moreevent ran from 11 AM to 6 PM, and we arrived around 12:30 PM. The first issue was simply finding the venue. Coming from the self-parking garage, there was very little signage directing guests to the Beachclub. We eventually found our way by following another group headed there, but better directions and signs would make a huge difference. The biggest problem, however, was the security screening. My friends and I carefully reviewed the venue rules beforehand and followed the bag and dress code requirements. Despite that, security went through our belongings in an extremely invasive manner. They opened wallets, flipped through personal items, and thoroughly searched small bags that were well within the approved size limits. They were looking at how much money and credit cards I had! When I questioned why they were looking through things like my wallet, noting that even airport security doesn't typically inspect belongings that way, the response I received was rude and dismissive. The entire interaction felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily intrusive. Once inside, it became clear that unless you're planning to spend hundreds of dollars on bottle service, there aren't many places where you can simply sit, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Shortly after we found seats, we were approached and made to feel unwelcome unless we were spending money. The overall vibe felt very pretentious and exclusive rather than welcoming. What made this even more frustrating was the inconsistency in enforcement. The venue rules clearly state that smoking is prohibited, yet multiple people were openly smoking throughout the event while numerous security staff stood nearby and did nothing. Meanwhile, security had spent so much effort scrutinizing our belongings at the entrance. It gave the impression that certain guests were being targeted while others were allowed to ignore the rules. Exiting the venue was also confusing. We attempted to leave through the same area where we entered and followed visible exit signs, only to be told to turn around and walk all the way to the opposite side of the venue. Once again, clearer signage would help avoid unnecessary confusion. To be fair, the bathrooms were clean throughout the day, and there were attendants making sure they stayed that way. The bartenders were also friendly and professional. I was only drinking water, and every time I ordered one, they were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, those positives weren't enough to outweigh the overall experience. Between the confusing layout, invasive security procedures, inconsistent rule enforcement, and constant pressure to spend money, this venue simply isn't for me. No matter which DJ is performing, I won't be returning. I'd much rather attend events at venues in Philadelphia that offer a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

I didnt toss it on the floor because, well, there was a thousand dollar prize. While I was not interested, i figured, maybe i know someone who may be. One thing I can say, I forget sometimes about how when you are in a crowded room, people will drop your drinks...While partying, I bumped into a guy who looked kinda like me. It was my brother. As I'm rolling in the water, I see my husband head to what he called his oasis, Bungalow, because he was just standing under the hot sun holding my things while waiting for me. So we headed to this bar in the middle of the beach and they had a set-up of beach chairs that you could use as long as you were ordering drinks or food. Did I mention they are shaded chairs? So we sat down and a super-friendly waitress came by and took our orders. I saw they had Blueberry Margaritas and ordered immediately since I've never had heard of this beautiful phenomenon before. I love blueberries and this drink was perfect because it was made with real, fresh ones and it tasted so good. I ordered another one while my husband sipped on his beer and fell asleep. I then went to another chair that had no shade and got my tan on while listening to some Carribean music. It is a really great spot in Atlantic City to visit if you want some refreshing drinks and a place to hang out. The music isn't too loud so you can have a normal conversation and they have a pool for a small fee on weekdays, which we are definitely going to try out the next time we are in Atlantic City.
