There was only 1 server for all the tables, so I'm not sure if they were just under staffed and having a hard time, but you only get one chance at a first impression and this was not a good one. Everything seemed normal at the time, but later that day I became extremely ill. I have since been diagnosed with food poisoning, and more than 48 hours later I am still dealing with the symptoms. Based on the timing of my illness and my medical evaluation, I believe this meal was the source of my food poisoning. This experience has been physically exhausting and has completely changed my confidence in eating here. Food safety should always be a top priority, and unfortunately my experience has left me very concerned. I sincerely hope the restaurant reviews its food handling and preparation practices so no one else has to go through what I've experienced. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend dining here.

It was a cool place, had some green beer, and it was a good date overall although it was a bit crowded and noisy, but it was St. Patty's Day. Staff was nice as I recall. Afterward, made the long drive back home and late a late bite at like Wendy's close to home at like 11 o'clock at night as I might've had a big and/or late lunch that day. Perhaps, we split an appetizer, but there wasn't any seating, we were standing the whole time some of which at the bar, would've been tough to eat here. Overall, Ten Oaks Tavern was a solid bar, which I'd return if I was ever over here.
