I love that I know what I'm putting in my body is healthy, nutritious and good for and it still tastes so amazing. It has so much flavor and pizazz but I can eat it with no guilt. Their coffee is good and I really enjoyed their Avocado toast with salad. Coffee and smoothies are also good. It can get loud. Staff are super nice, welcoming and informed. organic locally sourced and delicious sweet potato quinoa veggie burger was the best veg burger ive had and for 6.75 it was completely worth it. comes with a little side salad with black beans i had to try some of the hot food so i sampled the chicken and bean dish with yellow coconut rice and red beat salad. everything tasted so fresh. the rice was awesome. great bold coconut flavor. the chicken dish could of used something to give it more of a bold flavor it needed a kick to it, but it was tender and good. all the food looked and smelled great. the dessert section was very appealing but im working on a 6 pack so i try to stay away :) The server at the counter Maylene was very friendly. This place deserves more Yelping! I discovered their excellent and filling Indian and breakfast burritos at the Irvington farmer's market, and then decided one day to pay a visit across the bridge. It was a very rewarding experience. Most of the selections were delicious, with great vegetarian options and interesting, very flavorful blends of ingredients. The people working there were very friendly, offered us free samples before we ordered, and made helpful recommendations. It seems like a place run by folks who really care about what they're doing. Nice space, too! This will definitely put me out $5 (for the Tappan Zee toll) on a more regular basis. read more

The atmosphere is relaxed cafe an perfect if you're not looking for a restaurant/waitstaff vibe. I also had a morning glory muffin and the ginger tea. (perfect for those cold days ahead!) Muffin was great and the tea was real strong ginger goodness with exciting spices like cloves. My friend got a huevos rancheros burrito and it looked good. I havent even been out of the store for 10 minutes, i took a bite of this thing and decided I had to call and give my compliments to the chef/ owner, as well as their super friendly staff!!! I got the kale pecan burger to go. When I unwrapped it in the car, it looked like the most delicious fast food burger. The taste was also quite good with a whole grain bun and cheddar cheese. This place is so, so wonderful and just keeps getting better with age. A lot more hot varieties to choose from these days and everything is consistently delicious. I always snag a few refrigerated items as well (sweet potato quinoa burger and sriracha brussels sprouts are especially delish!) SO many GF options! Also, I dropped my credit card in there recently and the staff was sure to keep it safe and snug behind the counter for 24-hours--everyone is always warm and attentive! Haven't been into the new market yet, but will check it out when I'm not running around looking for a quick, healthy bite on the go. I have a business across the street from True Food and I eat there 5 days a week. Pam is an amazing chef and while I usually pick and choose from the same 5 or 6 menu items that are my favorites, they are all delicious. My favorite is the burrito rancheros or the cheeseburger which is seriously the best cheeseburger I've ever had in my life. I say this to my assistant every time one is oozing all over my face at lunch time lol. Another reviewer said he compares every other place he eats to True Food and honestly I do the same thing. With all the great places to eat in Nyack, now when I go to a chain restaurant its so unappetizing I can't believe people actually eat at them. read more

This is such a wonderful place. I love everything about it. The food is amazing. They use local organic produce. They make their own version of bulletproof coffee (which is amazing coffee blended with grassfed butter and coconut oil). Their food was flavorful and not boring, and being a newly minted vegetarian this helps... A LOT. When I was told to become one for health reasons, my first thought was,"vegetarian food doesn't taste good." But this place DOES NOT SUCK. Not including the amazing and ingenious aray of gluten free baked goods and the quinoa chocolate cupcake stole my heart. Who would think to put Quinoa in a cupcake? It was moist rich and divine. Another home run is the butternut squash in coconut curry; rich, filling, and never ever boring. I almost given up dining out due to the restrictions, but this is a shining star for me. The ambiance is very plain and does not hint at the culinary excellence that can be found there. I had a sampler plate of curried sweet potatoes, beans and coconut rice. The Intrepid eater had a ruben sandwich but after tasting the sweet potatoes, had to order some. It was all very fresh and well cooked.
