So the food is always good here . So glad you decided to rebuild after the tornado. But there was a group of 5 of us that came in on a Monday night. About 2 weeks ago. Margarett was our waitress and it might have been an off day for her but OMG. We had to get up and get her 3 times to get a drink order. Periodically had to get her for refills. Then waited for the check final went to the register and told her to put it on one bill. Did not have the time too wait for her to divide that up. So just an FYI Margaret needs to step it up a bit. This place deserves ZERO stars. This random man came up to my friend asking for her ID, after already being asked and served a margarita from the waitress. (Practically DRANK half of the drink) When my 23 year old friend asked him who he was, then he introduced himself as the manager, and was inspecting her out of state ID and was telling her she needs to get a Texas ID practically demanding her to get one. After going back and forth about her ID he just told her to leave. Let not forget us having to shoo the fruit flies away from the drinks. We were the only group of people there, obviously there was a reason why this place was empty on a Saturday night. The manager there needs to get some type of training on customer service because he clearly is not educated on other forms of ID's. Save yourself a trip and DO NOT come here. read more

Great ambience. Casual, friendly. Came here alone for lunch, and was really impressed by the unique interior, abundance of employees and quality of food. This place has its stuff together. I was a little hesitant at first looking at the exterior driving by from a distance. Know you will be pleasantly surprised once you get close and come inside. I am not sure why this is under Turkish food. This is a working man's bar that has drink specials and a pretty good fried food menu. If you are not into that, they do have good sized salads. It is a sport's bar. The food is very reasonably priced. There is a daily special. I have been here about a dozen times. I am not sure that it is a place that one would bring his wife or date to. However, it is good place for the guys or the gals if they get past the testerone running around here. The waitresses are kind of friendly in a mischievous way. There is an outside drinking and eating area. It is a place that bikers are welcome which is fine. The place is a watering hole because there are many construction type of individuals that eat and drink here. Parking can be tight. It is a pretty large length from one end of the building to the other. The building is narrow and the bar is pretty long. It does get crowded. I kind of like the place. The restrooms are kind of a disaster. However, this is a bar first and not a place of formal dining or linen service. read more

I'm not much for eating sandwiches when I'm out, but my friend Leland suggested this place and he has good tastes. I had a hot chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich had a huge half breast of chicken and a generous portion of flavored fries. I noticed that other guests plates were also over flowing. The taste was spot on wonderful. I was very full when I left. The place itself looks like a sports bar and is kind of dark on the inside making it hard to read the menu. But the service was good. read more

Never been here before and thought about it a second before I did. Just stopped in to get some nachos. Service was ok wasn't expecting much and didn't get much. Had to ask if they had nachos cause the menu has a ton of stuff crammed on it. After getting real short answers to my questions I ordered one chicken and one combo to go. Waited about 25 minutes for my nachos. Got back to the office and got one chicken and one steak. I will have to say that the steak was a little undercooked for my taste the nachos were pretty good. An adorable dive restaurant in an under-trod neighborhood. I've been here three times. I've had the fried catfish, the tilapia, grilled shrimp, sandwiches, and soups. Everything on the menu is under $15 and the portions are ample for what little you pay. The make their poor waitresses wear black tank tops and tiny jean cutoffs, like a low-rent Hooters. But hey, this is Texas. Don't question it. They are all incredibly sweet, and the service is lightning-quick. The atmosphere and people-watching are hilarious--their soundtrack (Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lorde, etc.) suggests they're trying to appeal to a young crowd, yet everyone here is decidedly much older. As in haggard and chain-smoking. It's in a blue-collar section of North Dallas, so if you sit outside on the front patio (which I highly recommend if it's warm), you can watch the parade of giant pickup trucks go by. My co-workers and I went to the Wild turkey for lunch. I went to use the restroom upon arrival and everything was wet and smelled of bleach. There was 4 of us and we order 3 hamburger plates amongst the three of us. It took 30 minutes for us to get our food with only 4 other ppl in the place. When the food finally came the burgers were not cooked correctly. We didnt want to wait another 30 minutes for fresh ones. Upon arriving back to work a co-worker noticed I had white stuff all over my back side. The water on everything in the restroom was in fact bleach and bleached out the back of my jacket, pants and shirt. I called the Mgr. (Owner?) to inform him of this. He put the phone to one side and yelled at someone in another language it sounded and them returned to the phone and said they had not used bleach in the bathrooms today. And that I should come in so he can see my clothes and then maybe they will come to a conclusion. Completely unsympathetic to him ruining my clothes. I then informed the Mgr. (Owner?), the entire place smelled like Bleach & a dirty mop bucket. I will NEVER go there again and I will inform all of my co-workers to stay away as well. read more

Owner rolando has absolutely no idea how to run a business or treat his employees. Rats run around in the crossbeams above the tables and bar/food prep area and he doesn't seem to mind the company. Customers are treated as a piece of green paper and not a patron. All he cares about is the check total and no care for well being of servers or condition of customers. Many times I heard him say keep serving them drinks even if they are too drunk. As long as they will pay. This place is a joke. read more

man I missed this place, back in the old days, we would hang out at this location for a beer or two with amazing oyster promotion now the place is kinda slowed down but we were in the neighborhood to try some catfish and beer. server was super nice, got everything and more for us to enjoy our visit. nacho cheese isn't something that I'd order again just because I really don't like hard cheese. I like the hot runny cheesy nachos with jalepeno if you know what I mean. they were using the cheese that went cold too fast and stuck to nacho fast. the catfish poboy was good, not amazing but good maybe because I was super hungry. Drink specials are the only thing you need to go there for. FOOD used to be really good for a dive bar, but something changed. We got nachos with "fajita beef" and it was more like saw dust flavored beef. The cheese was burned onto the chips (literally BURNED, BROWN) It was $12 for that plate of sadness. The food used to be a drawing point for us, but not anymore. I won't eat there again. GROSS. Waitress and staff were on point and super sweet and nice. The FOOD spoiled it for us. They apparently changed owners and you CAN TELL they did, it is $hit. I feel for the staff there, hope they go get better jobs somewhere else, the food is running people off. YUCK read more

This little hidden gem is close to work so although I was a bit hesitant to venture in because it looks a bit red-neck... it was actually not and alot of fun. The staff is friendly although not well versed in their drink selections (we are all in the restaurant business and thought they needed alot of training) but they are cute and sweet. There was a diverse crowd but it was not loud or rowdy. There is a decent food menu and games to play and a smokers patio outside so something for everybody. The restrooms were well stocked and clean (huge plus). I think it's a great place to go grab a drink when you get off work or don't want to get dressed up. read more

Crab was good service was nice but the gumbo is no good. I had one taste and asked the waitress to please take it away. She smiled and said no problem would you line something else. Nope I said.. My boyfriend loved this place. It was a little loud for me but otherwise I can't complain. I had fajita steak nachos--yummy--while he had (and inhaled) a ribeye. The armadillo eggs were better than I expected too. Waitstaff was prompt, polite, and responsive to the point of leaving a pitcher of tea on our table because my guy was so thirsty. The atmosphere is great for date night and groups of friends hanging out, and they have outdoor seating which is probably great when not in the middle of summer. Food was good for the price and portionings. The service was good. The gumbo was good with large seafood portions in it. The nachos were a little bland, too much lettuce like a salad and the cheese was cheddar which hardens when cooled. The fajitas tasted good, the meat was a little chewy. I come here when I'm too lazy to drive to Addison since I live down Walnut Hill. Food is meh. Fortunately beer is cold, but don't expect to find any craft beers despite the demand from the transitioning neighborhood nearby like mine. Their menu is stuck in the 80s. I bet that if they allowed their cooks to make the Mexican food options on their menu to their liking things would improve. It would be a good start. I would certainly come here more often. Rustic cabin decor adds charm to the place. Hoping complacency with their menu will change. I don't intend to sell my house anytime soon. read more
