First, this place is too loud. I know that the low ceiling and cement walls bounce the sound back but there has to be a fix. I had to literally yell across the table to be heard. Second, when we walked in no one acknowledged us despite walking past us several times. There is no sign saying wait to be seated or seat yourself. A fellow patron finally helped us out by pointing out an empty table. Third, our waitress disappeared for periods of time. Not good if you want refills or your check. Fourth, the food was okay but not spectacular. I liked my hamburger but my husband ended up getting sick from his Philly steak sandwich. So basically this place is going to have to change a lot of things for us to come back. I'm a huge supporter of locally owned businesses but only when they put forth a decent effort. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to. This place is everything my wife and I look for in a bar/grill. We have 2 kids, 7 and 2. They have high top high chairs, which is a a huge plus. We can sit anywhere in the restaurant. Plenty of TVs to watch the game, good beer selection, and the food....great. Do your self a favor and order the Tachos. Phenomenal. Burger is high quality, and super fresh. We're from Chicago in for a hockey tournament and this place made us feel like we're at our favorite local watering hole. Love it! read more

Had the loaded tater tots. They were made from scratch and amazing! Also had buffalo wings that were very good, a classic wing just like they should be, and the house made ranch dressing is delicious. We went to the win because we saw a segment on fox 17 promoting it and because I grew up in jenison and thought it would be fun to go back and see the old neighborhood. The bartender was very nice and had a great personality and the bloody Mary I got was very good and the bottle beer was cold that's the only positive things I can say. The service was painfully slow we almost left before we got started but my girl urged me to be patient (she would later regret that) we decided to get the Philly GRander the menu reads it's shaved ribeye steak with grilled onions and chedder. What we got was hands down the worst Philly if not anything I've ever gotten at a restaurant it was ground hamberger with barely a piece of onion to be found and was bland needless to say we had a couple bites and left never to return. read more

We were looking for a new place to try and happened to see this in our way through town. The food was amazing, not overly priced and our server was wonderful; very sweet and attentive. Our food came out hot and fresh. We got a Gouda melt and a liberty dip with feta dip for an appetizer. There is also a great selection of local brews on tap! I have heard that The Win had great food, so it was on my list when coming home to Michigan to visit. Finally got there. The food was excellent! We had the loaded tots, oh my word! Seriously good. We also had the fried pickle fries and the honey BBQ wings, excellent as well. Sat outside on the patio, nice place to enjoy the great weather. After I had left the restaurant I couldn't find my credit card, so I went back. Here is where The Wins costumer service ethic kicked in big time. Tad looked for my card personally, and then he showed me his security footage. Yep, my card had been return me, but didn't put it in my purse. That could have been the end of it, but Tad kept going, changing the camera view we watched me leave and then go out of sight. Hard to see if I had it in my hand. Once again, this could have been the end of Tads help. But, no, he said let's look in the parking lot. And there it was, on the ground where I had parked. We've heard great things about this place and tried for the first time. Due to the pandemic we ordered and used the curbside pickup. It was hard to get through on the phone but right when I was about it quit I got through. We ordered 4 different burgers and one of their pork sandwiches. Family reviews were good to great. I had the Bacon Jan burger and it was delicious. There was one big problem which knocked a star off but could of easily knocked 2 off. 2 of the burgers I requested as "very well done" and they were still slightly pink. I'm surprised they still ate them. Then on a picky teen's burger it was suppose to be cheese burger only ketchup and it had pickles, lettuce, onion on it. Easy to pick off but those with picky kids will know this caused more hassle than there should of been. The food was excellent anyway and we'll give them another chance. read more

Came for lunch with my family, has normal bar food type menu, apps, sandwiches and burgers. I had the OG cheesesteak sandwich. VERY GOOD! One of the best cheesesteaks I've had, highly recommend it. My wife went with a burger and was very happy with it too. Kids had a salad and chicken fingers without complaint. Reason for three stars is the service was a bit slow. There was only one server and bartender, during the lunch hour so we had to wait a couple times. Would recommend trying it out if you are looking for something better than the chain stuff in the Jenison/Hudsonville/Grandville areas. read more

Everything was really bland. The beef on the nachos was dried out, dark and gross. The waitress was really slow. The staff was friendly and we were seated right away, despite it being a busy Friday night. Just moved to the area and tried the WIN out on the recommendation of the locals we have met. The food is pretty good... got the philly... it had way more steak than the poor bun could handle... I am not complaining here, it was awesome, steak was seasoned just enough to bring out the flavor and not overpower, and the cheese sauce was awesome on top, the closest thing I've had sense I had an actual philly in philly... got the fries to go with it and they were great, awesome side kick to the leftover steak and cheese that came out of my sandwich... will be back to try another menu item :) read more

I want to like The Win, I really do. I've been twice-right after opening and again two weeks ago. I really have no complaints about the food, although it's not awesome either. On this last trip I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. It appeared to be basic romaine, a few croutons, chicken, and a sprinkling of store-bought grated Parmesan cheese. I've seen and eaten much better. But the noise continues to be a real problem. Despite the noise panels it's still too loud. My husband and I had to shout across the table so I moved closer. I still had to lean in to hear anything he said. Our waitress was in a hurry, but efficient. She definitely knew people at other tables near us because her demeanor changed when she moved to them. In sum, as excited as we were about The Win, nothing about it is good enough to bring us back. read more

We are an out of state Navy family with veteran friends local to Jenison. Every time we come out here, The Win is a must. The food and service are outstanding. Even with a full house, they gave us, a party of 9, outstanding service. The owners walk around and ensure guest satisfaction, they help bus tables and absolutely demonstrate the love and pride they have for their establishment. The servers are were on point making sure our drinks were refilled. They were perfectly attentive but not over bearing. We had a small hiccup with an order, and the owners themselves jumped all over it to rectify everything and demonstrate the outstanding service model that they stand behind. We LOVE The Win however the other night we went there for dinner and I have a few concerns . . . . first, the Coors Light that I ordered was not cold and had a funky taste . . . not very tasty! My significant other saw pictures of the Philly Cheese from the Win posted online and really wanted to try it out. We went for the first time on a Sunday night, there were only a few people there and service was fantastic. They have the BEST Sprite! We had the Philly GRander which was good and the Pie Holes which were also fantastic. We decided to go back about a week later on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was busy, but that was to be expected. This time we ordered the Philly GRander again and the BavariWin Pretzel. My SO added Banana Peppers to the Philly and also asked for a side of Ranch and a side of the Wins red sauce. Our take on the Wins red sauce was that it was basically glorified ketchup. We get our food and the bun on the Philly was a bit stale, and the pretzel was quite burnt and hard. It was difficult to chew the crust so we pulled the majority of the middle out and just ate that. When we received the bill we looked and it was a bit more than we expected. We look it over and got charged for EVERYTHING. Yes, I understand and expect to get charged for everything however I didn't expect the charges to be that significant, I guess you could say. For two pops, a pretzel and a sub it was almost $40. Maybe it's just me however I was not expecting it to be that much. I saw the fries had a $2 up-charge, but so did adding the banana peppers. Also, it was $.50 each for the ranch and the Wins red sauce, and if you asked for another side of either one, that was another charge. Our waitress was good and we of course paid without a fuss and didn't allow her tip to suffer, just didn't think the prices reflected the actual food all that well. read more

I have been to Win twice, once with family members and once with a friend, both in the afternoon. This past Friday I was there from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. The service was very good and the food was as well. No complaints there. As for the other customers, near 3 pm the horseshoe bar was filled with guys, doing shots, being loud, profanity. I think they knew each other. The waitress looked nervous. My first thought was, "Drinking shots at 3 pm, egging each other on, is trouble. Don't these people in Jenison know how to drink? Apparently not!" I know the history in Jenison, and no bars. I am not a conservative person about bar behavior, but I think Win needs to figure out what kind of establishment they are. If I had walked in there with family for dinner at that time, I would have walked out. There were no families in the tavern, just the guys at bar. Just fyi. read more

Nachos with lettuce, onion and tomato was sub-par....I could have made it at my house with my sprinkle cheese too! The Pulled Pork Sammy is utterly DISGUSTING! If they didn't add the cole slaw, pickles AND mustard on top of the Pulled Pork it would be better. On top of that, I had to salt my own potato chips...REALLY? This "bar and grille" needs to have better quality food for me to come back! read more

I loved it! Simple menu of appetizers and burgers. Not to pricey at all. Great service, both the manager and both of the owners stopped to make sure we were enjoying everything. It was a touch loud but nothing unreasonable during another michigan state loss. Definitely not a place for little kids and that's why I'll be going back.
