these folks are like if raising cane's was good…read more phenomenal fried chicken, well-spiced and juicy. sauces are complex without being unfocused: cluck sauce is peppery and tangy, buffalo is hot, vinegar and slightly sweet in the right way; the jalapeño ketchup is a must-have, balancing its two parts with a lovely smokiness. i got tots with my fingers and they were both crispy & moist. you can tell they're not cutting corners on their ingredients. tl;dr easily the best fried chicken fingers this baton rouge kiddo has ever had

The place was small and cozy like. So we decided to dine in. I love the fact that everything is cooked to order, hot and fresh. I was skeptical because they had no lemon pepper seasoning. I know I know there are other flavors and I've tried plenty. I just always go back to good ol faithful lemon pepper. So we ordered the medium party pack. Which consisted of wings and tenders, and basket of loaded fries. Kenn got a Dr. pepper to go with it all. We heard the sauces were bomb. We got classic range, honey chipotle bbq, blue cheese dressings. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves... the chicken was crispy like I like it and the tenders oh my was delicious. We will be back.

I haven't been here in apparently four years. At least that was my last review…read more I was looking for a place to eat and drove through the Lowry area and this establishment caught my eye. As usual it feels like a neighborhood bar and grill as most of the patrons seemed to know the bartenders. They have a large mural of Lowry when it was an army base in their back room as well. Surprisingly they have a full bar. Even with the large ice cubes for the old fashioned. I had an Italian sub and ceaser salad while there. Both were good and to go i bought a pizza to have later at home. Once home I couldn't resist but to tear into the pizza and of course it was good like I remember. Best of all they give a military discount.

The toppings are fresh and tasty. I am from NJ and do not like spicy Italian food, but Denver residents seem to love it. Walter's is within walking distance of my house, and I would be there every week if I could get a pizza with delicious marinara sauce with no spice. I also would love to take my family, but they don't care for spicy pizza either, especially the young kids. I have worked with Ken, the manager, and he is very nice and helpful. I have spoken to the owner years ago about the spicy sauce, and he told me that "everyone" loves it. Well, not everyone! The service is always fast and efficient. The staff is kind and helpful. I love the indoor seating. There is a bar area, a back room, and a main dining area with plenty of seating. There is also an outdoor patio. Parking is plentiful on the street or in the back parking lot. The noise level has never been a problem when trying to speak with your fellow diners. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. I would give Walter's 5 STARS if they had a choice of non-spicy and spicy sauce, just like they have a choice of crusts. PLEASE!!!!

My new favorite barbecue spot in Denver! Was lucky enough to…read morestumble on this while walking around near a friend's apartment in Englewood, Denver has all these cool little pockets where it's very suburban and then all of a sudden you'll have a small corner with a few shops and restaurants and giving it a lovely walkable vibe. I could tell this place was going to be good because it was packed out at 11:30 AM on a Saturday. We decided to stop by and most people were ordering very large orders for takeout, but they have a good number of tables both inside and outside. The food takes a while to come, but that just means that it is all freshly prepared, and the staff are so nice and even give free samples. I went with the Kids meal brisket with the Potato salad and added a Sweet potato with the candied pecan butter. I seriously have no words -- all of these things were so delicious, and the amount of meat that you get even with the kids meal is more than enough to fill me up, especially with the rich sweet potato and potato salad on the side. I will be back as soon as I can, their hours are limited, and the drive is a little out of the central Denver area, but it is so worth it

That was missing here, the first indication that all would not go well. I soldiered on anyway, and ordered the 2 meat plate, pulled pork and brisket, with an extra rib bone and collard greens and beans for sides. The brisket and pork were both dry and had no smoke flavor. The rib was so small (an end piece) that they gave me 2; they were both overcooked and had very little meat on them. The sides were the only good part of this meal, but sides do not great barbecue make, hence the 2 stars. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pitmaster visited our table and took our criticism with good grace, even offering to replace our food to see if they could do better, but I was done. I won't be returning.
