We have several coffee shops on our little island (Anastasia), & altho I am not fond of chains this one has the true vibe of Aloha Spirit. Very cute decor & merch, cozy inside seating and outside walkup window. The BEST feature that far outshines all our other coffee cafés is the shady large outside deck, away from street noise and perfect for the kiddos to play. My barrista was new and unforunately put too much milk in my 100% Kona coffee -- even though I asked for a TINY BIT of milk, so I can't comment on the coffee as I couldn't really taste it. More importantly she offered to make me another cup which is true ALOHA Spirit. It was late in the day so I'll return & BUY another cup straight up to evaluate the Kona. The lattes & creamy specials look good, but as a former Hawaiian resident I like KONA. My oreo cookie chocolate mousse bar was absolutely delicious with deep dark chocolate flavor, a crunchy crust & very creamy center topped with cookie crumbles. I look forward to returning as I notice a menu of great sandwich/breakfast options.

Stopped in finally and was so glad I did. I ordered the three waves latte it was coconut and macadamia so good and not sweet! Hard to come by. I dashed it with cinnamon. It was a perfect final touch. The lemonade was able to get jazzed up with the blue color minus the energy as it was for a kiddo. We also got a turtle kick it was great as well total for 3 drinks and a coffee cake was $19 not bad pretty standard. Great spot, good service, spacious and comfy seating.

As I strolled through the front door, I was immediately greeted with a cheerful "Aloha"...and just like that, I knew I wasn't in a regular coffee shop. I had entered Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, where the beans are fresh, the vibes are tropical, and the caffeine hits like a vacation you didn't have to book PTO for. The shop feels like a mini island escape, complete with surfboards, bold Hawaiian colors, and just enough beach energy to make you forget your inbox exists. Be sure to read the story about the donkeys that help harvest the beans (yes, actual donkey; so iconic) and check out the photo of the local donkey that Bad Ass Coffee proudly sponsors. Because nothing says "good coffee karma" like supporting a hardworking donkey Pro tip: grab your drink and head straight to the outdoor deck as it's the perfect spot to sip, relax, and pretend you're somewhere between Maui and "I'll answer emails later." This is a new, locally run business on the island, so do yourself a favor and give them a shot at earning your business. Worst case scenario? You're over-caffeinated and happy. Best case? You've found your new go-to coffee spot.

Great place and great atmosphere. They do special events so must come back for those. Great back patio in shade with parking, so nice. Coffee is so smooth and it's Hawaiian which is less acidic. So nice. Next time we will get the peaberry Hawaiian coffee. More expensive but amazing flavor. Gwen, now a favorite young woman, who served us and told the history of the company. So funny about the donkey. You must ask about the story of the donkey. I won't spoil it by telling you here. There is also a painted mural on the patio. They also support the local light house of St. Augustine.

Coffee ice cubes! Genius. There is a wide selection of signature drinks. The outdoor space is calm and shady. Top marks.

Definitely different flavors the tamale was different from the mexican tamales that I am used to. It was still good instead of masa it tasted like cornmeal and ham steak cubes instead of shredded pork. Different but still good. My daughter loved her dish the yuca and the sauce. Service was great, kind, friendly, and prompt. Music was so chill I loved it. Cafe cubano was perfect! Tasted original

This is an adorable cafe in a very unremarkable shopping center. I had never really noticed it…read morebefore but a friend suggested we meet here. The restaurant has tables but also some comfy chairs in the center. It is sparkling clean. I did not see the restroom. The owner greeted us promptly and gave us great service. The food was delicious. I ordered the salad and sandwich combo. The turkey and brie sandwich was on such fresh crusty bread. The combination of flavors with the fig spread and cheese plus the other ingredients had a terrific flavor profile. I also had a half salad with the dates and goat cheese. Bonus is all dressing comes on the side. You don't have to ask. My friend had the caprese sandwich. The portions are large. What you see on the plates is what we took home. I will definitely be back here soon.
