[3.75 Stars] Following an excellent dinner at Parker's Garage we drove to The Woohoo for dessert. Offering several grilled and fried meals, and specializing in made-to-order ice cream sandwiches, we came for simple cups of Woohoo's homemade ice cream. "Simple," however unjustly characterizes both the rich consistency of their product, and the range of off-beat ice cream flavors offered. Signage proclaimed that a Clam Chowder flavored ice cream is annually offered at the LBI Chowder Fest. For our visit the selection included avocado pistachio, cannoli, cold-brewed coffee and brown butter pecan. At $4.95 for a generous two-scoop cone or cup, the prices are a value. I found the mouth-feel of Woohoo ice cream to be consistent with premium ice cream, but the flavoring to be cloyingly sweet (the brown butter pecan, in particular). Each flavor sampled was clearly identifiable as what it was listed. The Woohoo occupies a fairly small shack and while it has a few tables, seems to do more of a take-out trade. Counter service won't win any speed records, but isn't unreasonably slow. A fun stop. read more

For our annual trip to LBI, we decided to hit as many of the "hot spots" for ice cream as we could.  While not our favorite, The Woohoo was really good.  The servers were all friendly and nice.  The flavors change every day and they have MANY. However, so many of their flavors are uncommon and it took 3 days until we found a daily variety that we liked. (Actually we had a hard time choosing since most of their 12+ choices sounded great on this particular visit). The peanut butter s'mores was amazing.  Andes was also very good.  The Chocolate pb cookie was a neat variety and the Twix was also delicious. read more

Just returned from a family tasting. We also each created our own ice cream flavor to take home. The owners are are knowledgeable and personable. High volume cream, all natural ingredients. Highly recommended for your beach experience. read more

Had a pretty cool environment and very colorful. Counter service with pleasant. Food was pretty good. Only complaint was the prices being very high. For a milkshake it was $13 and change and the burgers started at $9 plus fries and a drink. Definitely a neat place to visit on vacation. read more

Rip off of ice cream if I ever heard one. To get a cone of soft serve there is a forced up charge of $3 per cone. They claim it's a service issue to use a cone that every other ice cream parlor uses around the world. read more

Surprisingly good food - albeit very simple menu. Good in a pinch. Ice cream is very good as all reviews indicate. Interesting options and combinations. Has parking too which is helpful in this part of beach haven. Can be a bit expensive but a good choice for great desserts. read more

I think the Crabzilla might be the best burger I've ever eaten. Hot dogs are the perfect hot dogs. It would be tough to top them. The ice cream is amazing with all homemade flavors that are always changing. Some vegan choices and the shakes are great as well. The only complaint is that with all of the high quality non steroid chicken they don't have a chicken tender for kids on the menu. I would give 4.5 stars because of this but went with 5 anyway. Other than that everything is amazing and I go every time we are on the island. And it's BYOB. read more

Horrible experience. The girl working was very rude and told my family to "hurry up" while ordering. We ordered LARGE cups of ice cream and got ONE scoop each - you could see more empty space than ice cream in the cup. It's such a shame, the ice cream is really good, but the workers, portion sizes, and overly expensive prices are not worth it. read more

What a bunch of freaking thieves. So we order two soft serve cones with sprinkles and then notice a surcharge for $6, $3 for each waffle cone. I stop the girl and tell her that i do not want a waffle cone but just a standard cone. She states that they do not have those. As she states it, another associate walks by with the standard cone. I state that i want that cone. The manager comes over and starts with this whole bs speech about how they only do soft serve in waffle cones for some bs customer service experience. I felt sorry for the kid who was clearly being forced to do this by some thriving owners. It's not like I've never ordered an ice cream cone before. Shame on you. read more

Should be called the Boo Hoo. The pictures online are deceiving. The portions are absurdly tiny and you're essentially paying astronomical pricing for frozen chicken nuggets and burgers. Went here strictly because of the reviews on yelp and that they claim to be the only place in LBI to hand make ice cream on premises. As others have posted, they only serve about 12 ice cream flavors. I went for the coffee flavor and added Belgium chocolate chunks to it. Easily the best coffee ice cream I have ever had. I was the only one to order from my family, but barely got any because everyone wanted a bite. The ice cream was not to sweet, and there was a hint of cinnamon to bring out the coffee flavor. Any ice cream that doesn't make you thirsty afterwards is a winner in my book. Highly recommend for ice cream read more

BEST ICE CREAM IN LBI !!!!!! We went here almost every day of our two week stay in LBI. We loved trying all their different flavors! We even emailed them and had them make our favorite flavor around 4th of July! The owner and the workers are so kind and helpful to their customers. Everything here is amazing! I got the froconut a bunch of times too and i love it! You'd never expect it to be dairy free. Their hard ice creams are all so creamy and delicious! Parking lot is very tight!! Ice cream is home made but website displays an extreme variety of flavors. Only 12 daily though, and more of the plain flavors. Vegan and gluten free froconut soft serve for those with allergies. 6 people paid $28 for ice cream, so not a bad price either! read more

The beach and ice cream are basically synonymous and even though there are so many options on LBI, The WooHoo stands out among the best. It's an unassuming little walk up window on the south side of the island with a bunch of different wooden signs showing the menu items. I ordered the "Ice Cream for Breakfast"...but for lunch...and I would actually come back again for dinner it was so delicious. Dined at The Woo Hoo twice during my visit to LBI. A great beach lunch spot with a varied menu. Tried the homemade chili dog, Coney style on my first visit - it was so good I has to come back and get it again. Great tasting dog and some of the best chili I've had on a hot dog outside of the Philadelphia region. Fries were fresh cut and delicious. pricing was slightly on the higher side, but the food was so tasty I was not bothered. Docked one star for the woman at the counter being rude on both visits and no vinegar for the fresh cut fries! When asking the same woman about having vinegar available, she replied "Oh, right customers have been asking for that...". Wouldn't that mean you should have some available? Other than those two issues, this an almost perfectly executed outdoor hot dog & burger joint worth checking out more than once. Edit:. Food change is 2017, chili dog is completely different, not near as good. Was told by girl at counter that the 2016 chef moved on. Way too big and weirdly sweet, the chili has pineapple in it, apparently. They did add the vinegar in for fries, but gotta dock a star for ruining such a fantastic dog. What a shame. read more

Another visit here and it still remains the best ice cream on LBI I have tasted and I have visited now 5 different places. This sits on the southern end of LBI in Beach Haven and may not look like much and the parking is not the greatest but they make their ice cream in small batches daily which evidently makes all the difference in taste. This is the creamiest and best tasting ice cream and the creations are great. They may not have a ton of flavors but what they have is all tasty and clever. Plus they serve some quirky food concoctions and shakes as well. Plenty of seating and even a clown to do face painting and balloons for the kids. Love it every time I am down at LBI! read more

LOVE their ice cream! On a summer night you can easily find a line down through their parking lot for good reason. This place has fun and changing flavors with funky names. You'll definitely have to ask the staff what's in the flavors but they know their stuff and don't mind explaining. For homemade ice cream with good portions, their pricing is not bad either! If you have allergies they seem to be very accommodating. I've never had their actual food here, but will definitely try it next time we're down in Beach Haven! read more

Seasonal. Really good home made ice cream...probably the best on LBI. Divey setting not easily noticed on the south end of town. Order at the window. Food is reasonably priced and ranges from ok to very good. Good size portions. Great place for a quick snack. Limited seating ... all outside. Free parking. Definitely worth visiting. read more

This place was close to my rental, so I had to stop. They offer really unique and creative items and the ice cream is delicious. I liked the dairy-free soft serve option that tasted like coconut. We also tried some of the hard ice cream and that was equally delicious. I was able to sample the soft serve prior to ordering and the staff were pleasant and helpful. They have a nice area with picnic tables to sit and enjoy your food. We didn't order any food, but the food menu had some interesting options - I wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

We came early for lunch. Probably one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had. And my son loved his hot dog - I tried a piece, it was really good - It's home made, so don't expect the slimy salty packaged stuff you would get in a package.
