The homemade Ice cream is very solid. I went here twice in the last week. I tried one of the homemade ice cream sandwiches and the watermelon float. The ice cream sandwich had delicious chocolate chip cookies and smooth vanilla ice cream. The watermelon float had somewhat of a strange after taste, almost like a watermelon rind taste. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. It's a nice place to bring your kids but only if you're planning on breaking your bank. I bought one milkshake and it was over 7 dollars. It wasn't even a decent size. Then I went back a few days later to give it another try. This time I got a cone. One scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream on a cake cone. First of all who has mint ice cream that's not mint green. I'm not about the white ice cream. It tasted like vanilla ice cream with bits of chocolate. Another thing, the cone was stale and gross. This place is incredible. In terms of allergy handling (I have celiac disease), this place is what I wish all other restaurants would be like. Top notch training and understanding that there is a difference between preferences and actual allergies. They took my concerns seriously and explained how they cook fries in a dedicated fryer and assured me that my burger would be celiac safe. The GF bun they use is the best I've ever had (I'll be asking them next time where they get them from - I'd like to stock up on them). As for food quality, the fries rival the bay village pizza shop fries and are amazing. The burger was just as incredible. I found this place on the Find Me Gluten Free app but I've driven by it hundreds of times not realizing they took such great care of allergies. Shaun K.  I did as you suggested and did a Google search on the topic.  I see your issue is more w/ yelp than my dissatisfaction with my pineapple float.  I still think it is a valuable tool by the many positive reviews you have posted. Yelp gives the consumer an idea of what they may like or not like.   As I explained earlier I did not say anything because the of the long line and heat.  That is my prerogative.  However, if you want to identify which employee made the mistake determine who was working at approximately 7pm when I made the purchase.  If you can't narrow it down I would suggest a simple training session with everyone working.  I assure you I am not a competitor or interested in sabotaging your business in any way shape or form. If I was interested in doing that I would have suggested going to one of the many other ice cream establishments on LBI.  I was simply pointing out I has a bad experience. However, as stated in my previous post, I wish you great success and applaud you for adapting your business model to these challenging times.  And to answer your question why my account only has one post is simple.  I recently obtained a new cell phone and lost some passwords and data. For some reason when I posted it generated a new account.  I did not realize it until you pointed it out.  I have posted numerous times on YELP.  I went back and reviewed them.  Most were positive and I believe that is helpful to the establishment.  Upon reflection I am glad I did not bring the mistake up in person.  I am amazed at the time and effort you are putting in to a simple criticism.  Who knows what your reaction would have been on a hot evening?   If you feel I am being mean that is your prerogative.  I know I was polite to your staff and made it a point to leave a generous tip as I always do, because I understand businesses are struggling.  Was is mean that I was patronizing your business w/ the intent of supporting the local economy?  I know we live in a "EVERYONE GETS A TROPHY" society but people can grow by at least listening to constructive criticism.   I learned something over 30 years ago from my limited experience as a young person working in restaurants during high school and college.  The boss who ran many successful pizza and dining establishments taught us "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!". Even if they are wrong,  make them happy and they will come back. DELICIOUS. The blackened fish sandwich was FANTASTIC and the ice cream was perfect. The sandwich had avocado and some kind of magical sauce on it. So fresh. And we had the brown butter pecan and cookies and cream ice cream. WooHoo is one of the few places on the island that makes their ice cream from scratch, and you can tell by the taste. Atmosphere is great. Love this place. Will be back tomorrow! PS: also had the WooHoo salad and that was very very good too! read more

My girlfriend got a crab cake sandwich from here and it made her VERY, VERY sick. Trust me - stick to the ice cream (which is mediocre). The crab smelled rotten which was confirmed by numerous people before we returned it. When I brought back the sandwich and asked for something else, or a refund, the manager told me that it wasn't possible that the sandwich made her sick because "they serve 100 crab cake sandwiches a day and it takes 15 hours for food poisoning to take effect." It was insulting how the situation was handled and I only hope they stopped serving spoiled crab. Thankfully we were refunded for the sandwich in the end. *more below - beware of WooHoo food* Yes, I will definitely take my business elsewhere, but I don't appreciate being called a liar by the manager. Don't be fooled by the looks, the food is excellent. I had the breakfast burger (double cheese burger with pork roll, bacon, and a fried egg) and the corn fritters with honey butter for dipping. We walked here for ice cream. My husband and I shared a kiddy cup of cinnamon toast crunch. My niece had a kiddy cup of Oreo with rainbow sprinkles and gummy bears. Saw this place last year on the way home and was excited to try it this year. Very kid friendly menu, and some "unique" options for their snacky hour. I ordered the BBQ broccoli bites, and my son got a scoop of vanilla. Ice cream was very creamy, and broccoli bites were a bit salty for my taste, but everyone is different.
