This is not what I would call Mediterranean at all. I tried to stomach the hummus first (not sure what it was made from ?). Then of course Tazizki and that was even more questionable. That said I thought I'll At least I'll try the Falafel.... All and all it ended with horrific FOOD POISONING and only ate a 1/4 of what I ordered. This place is so gross !!!! Don't even attempt. We stopped in last month after a drive to Joshua Tree National Park. This is a small little place in a strip mall but I must say it was the best meal we had during our trip to Palm Springs. This place has exceptional food!!! We have eaten here 4 times now, and enjoyed many of the menu items. A Personal favorite is the falalfal plate. They are the most light and tender I have ever had. The lamb shawarma wrap is also a fantastic...along with the fries with sumac seasoning, is a must. The hidden gems are the ice tea with mint and lemonade with orange blossom water. So refreshing!!! This place has a Cute small corner to eat in the restaurant as well as delivery or to go. Lastly, these owner opererators are some of the nicest people I've met. Gracious and kind always. Great find! Found this place on yelp while passing through on our way back home from the holidays. Took our order to go since we had our dogs. Fast friendly service and the food was excellent! We ordered the chicken shawarma, gyro wrap, dolma/ stuffed grape leaves, and two iced teas (aromatic and sweetened with honey...fantastic flavor). Was ordering the baclava, that was on the house! My husband and I stopped here by way of finding it via Yelp. The location is a small shop that has a table with a few seats and two window seats. The man behind the counter promptly greeted us in a very friendly manner. We both ordered the vegetarian plate. It was a lot of food for us, which was wonderful because we were so hungry! It consisted of five falafel, pita bread, rice, hummus and a salad. We also received a side of tahini and balsamic dressing. The food did not taste good at all. The chicken shawarma's favored a burrito instead and the kabob plates tasted so bad. I was even disappointed with the pita bread and hummus. First time trying this, I believe it just opened. Chicken Shawarma had a great flavor. I didn't realize it would come wrapped in a tortilla but it was still good. Garlic sauce was thicker than I like. Falafel was a bit dry but very tasty, just had to dip it in tahini sauce which was great. My husband liked his kabob wrap. The mint lemonade was good but a tad too sweet for me. Just personal taste. Great prices & service! I ordered online & when I arrived, it was ready on their takeout shelf. It's no frills atmosphere and small menu (fewer items always means higher quality) means you get your food quickly and professionally without fuss, and this is food that has to be eaten to be believed. I had an incredible chicken shawarma wrap with a perfect balance of pickle and roasted garlic sauce. My partner has a shawarma platter with a generous amount of rice, hummus, a salad, and all the chicken perfectly laid out so that the rice absorbs the flavor. Do yourself a favor and try the Moroccan mint tea. Basically: if you love Mediterranean food, come here asap. If you haven't tried much, make this your first experience.
