Stopped here for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised! The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to try their signature beverages, Yerba Mate which I personally liked all of them! Their vegetable soup is like what your mom used to make and their steamed sandwiches are unusual sounding, but the Reuben I had was very good! I loved the interior of the restaurant and especially liked watching the beautiful dumb waiter bringing food from the main floor to upstairs. Great Hamburg find

Firstly, it is impressively clean inside this establishment. Like, extraordinarily clean. The floors, the fixtures, everywhere you'd expect to see dust or evidence of cooking/eating, there is none. The building, outside and inside, is absolutely beautiful. We were asked if we'd been in before (we had not,) and we were offered samples of each of their signature cold drinks. Each one was delicious, it was hard to choose, but we decided on the hibiscus deli cooler and iced dandy blend. The sandwiches are made on fresh, store baked bread, and served warm. They were also delicious. The gentlemen/ staff we encountered were each very friendly, polite, and welcoming.

They have a 2nd floor which can accommodate a large group.

What a sweet surprise walking up the stairs to this beautiful restaurant in Hamburg. We were met by a veteran staff and given a brief history of the yellow deli. We sampled some teas and a turkey stew. The food was very well prepared and delicious and even though we didn't have room for dessert, there was quite a selection. The yellow deli serves as best that they can, the freshest of ingredients and flavorful as well. A must go to in Hamburg NY, a place where you are greeted by comforts of home.

I found The Yellow Deli in Hamburg, NY on Christmas Day 2024 and I'm here again on Christmas Day 2025. My wife had died three months earlier and after visiting her grave at the cemetery in Hamburg I was looking for a coffee shop to relax around noon. The only place open was The Yellow Deli at 327 Buffalo Street and the second I walked in I knew I was in the right place. Being a deeply spiritual person I was intrigued by this line on the cover of their menu, "We serve the fruit of the Spirit. Why not ask?" So I did and I was beyond overwhelmed by the people who operate this amazing restaurant at cafe and by their Christian beliefs. I love their story and what they stand for. The Fresh Green Mate was to die for and it was so good I purchased a brick and use it nearly day. The Bristol Fillet with the wild Alaskan Sslmon was the best as were their soups, which I have every time I visit. It's a great restaurant, kitchen staff is superb and the people are top quality. I have and will continue to return.

I grew up in Southern California and went to the Yellow Deli in my hometown very frequently in my college years. And to my surprise, they opened this new location recently, and I was ecstatic! Wonderful team, very friendly, all staff was greeting me as they passed by. My waitress did a wonderful job, even let me sit at their trademark chair on the bar! Food was marvelous, reminded me of the same great taste from my younger years! Deli Rose is a great taste of great meats and fresh vegis on homemade bread and fresh chips. And their chili hit the spot on a cold winter day! Absolutely would be coming back more often! If you haven't seen this place before, highly recommend it! Especially during the spring/summer days when their patio is open!

The owners of the restaurant aside, I have to say this is a pretty wonderful little deli. The inside is made entirely of wood and feels like a fairy tale. Everything is really just so cute. All of their homemade drinks are really delicious. The food is also fantastic. I recommend the deli rose, village gobbler, and Buffalo blazer. All have been delicious. The muffins with a daily featured flavor are really tasty too.

She brought my bag over and had a cup for coffee. She let me to the coffee station & I had the coffee of the day. I normally don't drink flavored coffee but it was real good, a nutty and creamy flavor combined. My bag had a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and slice of blueberry crumble pie. For those who have never been, there's two entry points; the front (from the street), is wheelchair friendly, while the back (from the parking lot) has some stairs. There are two single bathrooms available in this place. If you're dining in, you can order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table. Regardless you need to order at the counter anyway. They always have a great selection of baked goods and coffee, plus specialty drinks on rotation. They offer light breakfast and lunch if you don't want just a coffee and pastry. They sell gifts and ground/bean coffee along with flavored syrups. For this particular trip, I ventured in to get lavender syrup (Torani). I treated myself to a specialty rotating drink (Hansel and Gretel frozen coffee - frozen coffee with gingerbread and white chocolate). I also purchased a blueberry muffin and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin (also a rotation dessert specialty). All were excellent, as par for course here. I don't hear at all but speak well, so the kind lady at the front grabbed a pad and writing utensil to communicate with me, which was very helpful and so we both were on the same page. It was very appreciated. Another reason I love this place, they're so accommodating

They…read morehave a menu filled with variety (but not overwhelming), plenty of different dining areas, and I especially love sitting outside in the summertime. The service was superb. Christina was one of the kindest, most genuine waitresses I've had in a long time. Their kids' menu prices have to be the same as they were at least five years ago, just $5, including a drink and a side. You really can't beat that! I was torn between their corned beef and chicken fingers, so I secured that I could get a finger from a shared meal and then ordered the Mother Superior. I substituted grilled sourdough since I'm not a fan of Kimmelweck seeds. This sandwich was loaded with tender corned beef and absolutely delicious with the melty Swiss, creamy Russian dressing, and lightly cooked red onions. We also ordered Combo #2 to share, which has several Buffalo favorites: chicken fingers, wings, beef on weck, and waffle fries. It was a LOT of food for a very reasonable price. My boys said the wings were amazing and perfectly crispy. There were plenty of waffle fries to share, and the chicken tenders were nice and crispy too. The kids loved their meals: mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and chicken tenders. The fries were just okay, but when you have a vessels of blue cheese and a salt grinder on the table, you know they're going to be just fine. And then there's dessert... Very smart marketing to have a display of their homemade desserts right on the table! Our waitress mentioned that everything is made by their pastry chef, so of course we had to order a couple. We went with the pistachio cheesecake and peanut butter pie. The peanut butter pie was so smooth and creamy, and the kids loved the cookie crust and puddle of chocolate sauce. One of them actually said it was too much peanut butter. I had no idea there was such a thing! The pistachio cheesecake had a cake bottom with a thick, rich layer of cheesecake on top. We really liked the addition of lemon, it added a nice freshness to balance everything out. I absolutely love this spot and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food, a great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Oh, and there's a popcorn machine in the bar area, which the kids made approximately 17 trips to.

We were the only ones in the room so it was great to be as loud as we wanted without disturbing anyone. They have a large parking lot but it can be easy to miss since it's by one of the roundabout's. I had the Beef on Weck wrap. Asked our waitress about it since it's been a while since I was there. She said it was one of the newer items and is very popular. The beef is wrapped in a flour tortilla with provolone, creamy horseradish, salt & caraway seeds & finished in a panini press. It comes with chips and a pickle but I upgraded to fries. My choices were straight cut, waffle or sweet potato so I opted for waffle fries. I would definitely order it again. Everyone enjoyed their food, too busy talking to take pics but some of their options were the beer cheddar soup, corned beef quesadilla, burger, chicken sandwich, roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes & gravy. Their rye bread is baked in-house and you can purchase it just like one of my friends did.
