Put this place at the top of our list when visiting Telluride! Great vibe, banging music, stellar service, and the food was off the hook. Yes, it's loud in here but it's the vibe! It's a small location so make a reservation. It's a cocktail forward joint so be prepared to down some delicious, unique drinks. Food has Asian influence and is delish. Highly recommend the shaved Brussels- super crispy and tasty, probably some of the best I've ever had. Broccolini was perfectly cooked and the mojo verde was superb. The skewers were on point as well. We shared a bunch of plates, drank some drinks, made friends with the table near us, took a shot ski with them, and closed down the place. Recommend for a good time and to leave with a full belly!

I always feel my most creative self when I have a cocktail and some duck buns at There Bar. They don't have a Dj. They just have exceptional taste in music and it always makes the vibe just that little bit extra.

This was the best night!! Small but inviting venue! Food was amazing!! Had the shaved Brussels to start followed by the duck bun- which was outstanding!! We also shared the tiger prawn skewers and he wagu skewers - both delicious !! Followed by a festive shots - ski!!

There is a must if you visit telluride. I came back after visiting a couple of years ago and it was how I remembered it. It's a super small space so a reservation is a must if you want to secure a table. The favorite of the night were the ribs. They were super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff were super friendly and really engaged with all the customers. The only thing I would say is missing is they have no dessert menu.

Our third visit (first was right after it opened to much fanfare) to There just wasn't what we'd hoped. And maybe that's on us - maybe we've aged out. Same staff I remember, or nice-enough fellas who looked so much the same as the past ones as to be fungible. The room is the same as always: tiny, tight, mostly a bar with some small tables. There's now an outside patio area, as well. There is cocktail-forward and they're good at those. The food has always been very good (if kinda skimpy for the not-skimpy pricing) in the past but this visit . . . well, nothing on the menu really grabbed us - and so we actually walked away from our dinner reservations after only having a drink each. Very unlike us but - why buy expensive food that doesn't sound good and that you have reason to believe won't fill you up? Another part of the reason, though, was that it was just so bloody loud - I had a 12" mohawk in '84, so I'm okay with hardcore. But blaring . . . and at suppertime? Maybe I should have asked to be seated outside. Or maybe it's just past my bedtime . . . now where's my Metamucil?

This place was really good. We went with a party of eight and everyone ordered different things, everything was absolutely delicious, including the drinks which were unique. They also give you popcorn. That is super delicious. We would definitely go back if we're in the area again. Everyone was raving about the brussels sprouts!

I was told by a local that for bar bites you cannot go wrong. I'm glad I listened. This is BEST bar in Telluride. The drinks are impeccable. I loved the steakhouse martini - proper delicious. A super treat was the beef tongue and kimchi lettuce wraps. Fantastic! The skewers were exceptional. The aji sauce was a spicy compliment to the shrimp. The waygu was good (as expected) and the scallops stole the show. Not a five because the service was good but casual. Nothing wrong with being a chef's dream for snacks and cocktails!

This place was our favorite to go to in Telluride. Very cozy and casual. Some might say its small but it was perfectly intimate. The servers/bartenders were amazing. Made us tourists feel like locals which was very comforting. Definitely get reservations piror but they are very nice and accommodating if you walk in and if they have space. Drinks were great and had a great time during happy hour. Highly recommended!

If you can eat at one place in telluride make it there. The bar drinks were amazing and the food outstanding. Having a disco ball and a shot ski, you wouldn't expect the food to be as good as it was. The wagyu was cooked perfectly and the hand salad was unlike any salad I've ever tried. We were so glad we shared so many different dishes. We made a reservation which I highly recommend and were able to sit early. This is definitely our favorite place in Telluride.

There was our ultimate favorite dinner in town! We loved the concept of shareable dishes for the whole group to share. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The place is fairly small and it is quite difficult to get a reservation at prime time. Everyday the only reservations open were 5pm and 9pm. They only do reservations on Tock. We started with cocktails, trying the Grapefruit, Lychee, Aviation. Each cocktails were delicious! The Lychee martini was my absolute favorite, I liked it so much I had to order it twice! We ordered several dishes for the table to share, every single dish was amazing! The spicy duck buns were among the favorites along with the wagyu steak. We really wanted to try more dishes but we got so full! The food was so great we really wanted to come back the next day but all reservations were taken. The whole experience was great, definitely worth the price! There will be on our list the next time we return to Telluride!

I called the restaurant about 5 days prior to my Rez and they were able to accommodate adding two to my party. An already great start to my experience without stepping foot into the restaurant. The exterior and interior of the building are way cute but holy cow did the food shine here. My friend and I shared the French onion soup, the steak tartare, and the filet mignon entree. Literally all 10s. I would say don't skip the soup or the filet. The soup was so rich with flavor and honestly might be the best rendition I've ever had. The filet had this amazingly rich sauce and it was paired with bites of lobster. I haven't stopped thinking about it. The steak tartare was also so good. I've never had it before so it's hard to compare but I really enjoyed it! Our server was attentive and so knowledgeable about the food and drinks. I think his name is Bruce but might be wrong about that. I would say snag a reservation if you can cause this place is not to be missed. A well deserved 5 stars!

Turned out we had reservations on one of the last nights they are open before the Festival starts. They apparently are sold out during that entire festival to a large publishing company. Steven, our server, was accommodating and professional. The ambiance was small and intimate. It wasn't inexpensive, but worth very penny. I would go back in a heartbeat. Next time. One of the biggest perks is that dogs are welcome inside as long as they're on a leash, which was a huge plus for us traveling with Luna. I ordered the peach vodka slushy, and it was delicious--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The bartender was incredibly friendly, helped us choose our drinks, and took the time to chat with us for a bit. Based on his recommendation, we even ended up buying a bottle of bourbon to take home. They don't serve food, but they do have small bags of chips available if you want a quick snack while enjoying your drink. We also learned that Telluride allows open containers in designated areas, so you can take your drink to go if you purchase it from a participating establishment, which was a fun bonus. The décor is warm and inviting, and the overall atmosphere made us want to stay longer. Excellent drinks, outstanding service, and a dog-friendly environment--highly recommend stopping in if you're visiting Telluride!

The gondola ride and panoramic mountain views are breathtaking and were, without question, the highlight of our evening. Unfortunately, the dining experience itself didn't live up to the reputation or the price. Our dinner for two, including gratuity, was approximately $325, and we expected the level of food, service, and attention to detail that comes with a premier fine-dining restaurant. The meal started with promise. The lump crab corn soup was creamy and flavorful, but despite its name, there was barely any lump crab. I found myself searching for it throughout the bowl. It was enjoyable, but I expected much more considering the description and the caliber of the restaurant. The hamachi crudo was also underwhelming. While it was beautifully presented, the flavors were forgettable and lacked the freshness and balance we expected. My boyfriend summed it up best when he said he wouldn't even rank it as "okay." Unfortunately, the entrées never reached the "wow" factor that so many reviews led us to expect. My Dayboat Alaskan Halibut was slightly dry, and while the fish was well seasoned, the accompaniments were so tangy that they completely overpowered the delicate flavor of the fish. My boyfriend's Pan Seared Elk Sirloin was cooked beautifully, but the purée served alongside it simply wasn't very good and didn't complement the meat. Neither entrée left us saying, "We'd come back just to order that again," which is exactly the feeling I hope to have after spending over $300 on dinner. Dessert was enjoyable, but it wasn't enough to change our overall impression. My boyfriend's Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake was the better of the two desserts, while my seasonal peach tart was pleasant but not particularly memorable. Like the rest of the meal, both desserts were beautifully presented, but the flavors didn't leave a lasting impression. The service also lacked the attention to detail expected at a restaurant of this caliber. Our server never brushed the crumbs from our table between courses, and although I had clearly noted on our reservation that we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, no one ever acknowledged it with a simple "Happy Birthday." We weren't expecting a complimentary dessert or special treatment, but recognizing a special occasion is a thoughtful touch that many fine-dining restaurants consistently provide. The atmosphere was also disappointing. I understand Telluride embraces a relaxed mountain culture, but guests were dining in flip-flops, which took away from what should have felt like a special-occasion dining experience. Even more concerning, the woman seated next to us was vaping inside the restaurant. It became bothersome enough that I finally got up and politely asked her to stop myself. I was surprised that the staff never noticed or addressed it. Guests should never have to intervene in that situation. Overall, we left feeling that we paid for the incredible location and views more than the food or service. The scenery is unquestionably five stars, but the dining experience simply didn't justify the price. Allred's has a five-star view, but in our experience, the food, service, and overall atmosphere fell well short of the reputation that brought us there.
