This was a wonderful find. We enjoyed a corner table by the fireplace, high top with a peekaboo view of the river. Beautiful Floor to ceiling windows. They've got a great appetizer and wine list for you to choose from the music was perfect. The service was great. We had such a wonderful time, sitting, watching people watching the city Gorgeous space. Great for couples or families and private events.

Went for their rooftop party. It was a whole thing. VIP line we paid for, all the things. Found out later, they were not letting people in after a certain time because it was packed. Get the VIP entry, don't go too late. The rooftop view was nice. Party was live. People dancing and having a good time. They have a brick pizza oven with a chef just making pizzas to order. The pizza was sooooo good. I'm not big on pizza, but it's Chicago. If I am eating pizza, I love a good pizza crust. Theirs was fluffy and perfect. They had so many specialty pizzas to choose from, I couldn't decide. But they all looked good. I had the lobster tacos as well. Those were really good and fresh. Really glad we went to this day party. I don't party in my own city, but I'll party on vacation, and it was a good time.

My wife and I enjoyed 2 nights at theWit. The room was very spacious and maybe the largest hotel bathroom we have ever had and the 2 large windows made it even better. The location was a block from the river walk and to our stop for the Hop On Hop Off bus. The staff was attentive and made you feel welcome. Our breakfast was very good and offered a diverse menu. I would strongly recommend this hotel and the only complaint was the $85 per day for parking.

Pretty dismal experience. Theme of our stay was LATE. Arrived at 4:00 on the dot for checkin. However we had to sit in the lobby for 20 minutes because our room was not ready. So we sat there watching dozens of people get metal detected before going to the rooftop. So we were LATE to where we needed to go. Ordered $100 of room service. It was LATE so I called to cancel. Lady on the phone was rude, told me no and hung up on me mid sentence. I wasn't able to eat my share because well, it was LATE. Wife said her food simply wasn't good regardless. Something as simple as butter and jelly for the toast wasn't provided. Arrived back between meetings. Stood out front and in the lobby for over 15 minutes to try and give my keys to the valet attendant. No one was anywhere to be found. Wouldn't answer calls from the front desk. They finally took my keys then some dude chased me down saying they can't keep them and I have to keep waiting. Oh this made me LATE to my next meeting. $89 a day for poor performance was not worth it. I would 100% suggest parking yourself or a block over at London house. They always have 4+ attendants. Help with luggage and doors etc. oh and it's CHEAPER. We appreciated the room upgrade. The room itself was okay. It wouldn't get below 71 degrees and got upwards of 76 degrees during the day. Even with the shades closed. For as much as we spent, I would expect a lot more. Rooms were fine, but the service, in all aspects was not.

Modern, trendy boutique hotel that is in a great location for exploring the city on foot or going to the Chicago theater for a show. Great customer service, and there is a rooftop bar that serves good drinks. Would stay here again for the location and clean rooms.

Located in the theater district in downtown Chicago, the Wit is a great place to stay for dining entertainment and exploring the Loop. From the O'Hara airport I took the blue line train to downtown getting off at Clark/Lake St station. From there The Wit was a quick 10 minute walk. My room offered sn amazing viewing of the skyscrapers and glimpse of the river. My room was quiet at night even with the "L" train rumbling below. The hotel has an amazing rooftop bar offering a great view to the South and West loop. Drink and food prices were average for a downtown establishment ranging from $10 for beers and $20 for cocktails. There is another restaurant and bar located on the ground floor level also offering elevated pub food in a dimly lit atmosphere. Drink prices were similar to the rooftop ranging from $10-20. In the morning coffee and tea is located in the lobby for hotel guests. Overall I had a brief but nice stay at The Wit, and look forward to staying again in the future. Enjoy!!!

I was so disappointed in this hotel. This was out of our normal price range but I thought the location was wonderful and it is. The other disappointments were just too much. The expensive charge for the Val-let 86.00 I was told I'd be text them my room was ready. I was never text I just couldn't wait any long and came to the front desk to ask. One of the reasons I booked the hotel was for the roof top. We were told it was a private event ALL night. We were given many mixed directions. I felt they just didn't want US!!! Eventually after much complaining they let us up and again I don't think they wanted us. Many of the staff were not just unfriendly but almost rude. I did appreciate Erik from the Vallet. He was professional and welcoming. No coffee in the morning. It rang out and they were not going to refill it. The room was average. It was very overpriced for the service and amenities it did NOT provide. Don't stay here we noticed a lot more hotels that looked more accommodating

I truly enjoyed my stay here(room 2504). It was my birthday week, and Prince truly made it special. I want to emphasize that Prince is an asset to the property! His warm demeanor made me overlook the cons I faced. I was also able to meet the manager Lidiya, who also left a great impression. I can not say the same about the night auditors.. they def need a hospitality refresher because they were dead and rude. No personality besides the attitude and very dismissive. On the 14th a bald-headed black man and a heavy-set black woman who did not care to acknowledge my questions or conversation. Not only did I feel like I was talking to a brick wall but also that I was bothering their screen time. The other black lady who worked by herself on the 15th of Jan did not want to help me so much, she told the bellmen/valet guys to help me when I left my phone in my uber... I asked to use the front desk, and she told me, "to go over there"... I'm truly disgusted by the older women in Chicago but esp disgusted that Hilton hired these 3 people to represent their brand. Maybe it's my fault for thinking I was going to get southern hospitality. Anyway, If I was HR or the FOM, I would look into them. Restaurant is comfortable, clean, and spacious. They have a bfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Menu is decent. I loved that they had a different soup every day. Didn't try anything besides the lobster one and i loveeeed it. The ribs I bought... can't say the same for that. The slaw that came with is was also disgusting. I wouldn't call that slaw. Loveeed the peach on a platform. I seriously got that every day!!! Servers and the same host I seen every time I went to were sweethearts. I do wish I was able to dine at the rooftop but I wasn't there for the weekend. The small glimpse I did see was beautiful! Location is honestly perfect. Right next to walgreens, 7/11, Ross, Chic-fil-a, Giordan, a plaza that has many stores like nordstom, zara, Aritzia. AND LESS THAN A 4 min WALK FROM THE TRAIN STATION!!!! I'll def be back!

Great space; fun modern decor, especially light fixtures. Would be a perfect location for Chicago touristing. Aside from the decorating, pretty much a competent but bland corporate hotel experience.

Everything was up to par. The lady at the front. The gentleman at the elevators. The location. The restaurant there and of course the rooftop was fire

Better vibe during the day than evening, when the atmosphere is too club-like. Decent Old Fashioned.

theWit Chicago is an exceptionally nice Hilton branded hotel located right in the middle of everything in Chicago. We were able to walk to nearly all of the downtown attractions. The staff was very quick and friendly to handle any issues not that there was many.. The inside decor is absolutely gorgeous as well as the decor in the rooms. For me a nice long, warm shower is always appreciated at the end of the day and not once did I run out of hot water and it even got a little hot at times. theWit also has one of the nicest rooftop bars you can go to. It is divided into two sections, one more of a true lounge area overlooking the city and the other a sit down style with the bar relatively close to you. The night we were there there was a DJ playing music at just the right noise level for the crowd that was in there loud enough to give that party vibe, but not so loud that people were having to yell and not enjoy themselves. They also had some extremely tasty drinks up there. The only downside as with most downtown hotels in Chicago is $82 a night to valet.

For the team dinner, the staff decided on Roof on the Wit. At first glance, the restaurant looked nice and classy. The giant screens played animated scenes. The atmosphere felt like a high end club. For dinner some of us ordered sushi, pepperoni pizzas, salads and alcoholic beverages. I ordered an unsweetened ice tea. The sushi tasted delicious. My coworkers, managers and I went out to celebrate after a long day of training. We needed to relax. The only caveat came from the ventilation kept dripping water. So we moved to the center of the restaurant. At least the seating gave us more space allowed more circulation. Being the first time that I went there, I will probably go back to theWit.

Do they have a laundromat or laundry room for guest?

Is the Rooftop open year round?

I believe so. It has covered portions so one can step outside, gaze down towards the street w/o getting frozen :)

Can we just go to roof top for a night out or do have to book a room to have access to the roof top?

Dear Tony, Thank you for reaching out. ROOF on theWit is open to the public but we do highly…

While searching hilton.com for a hotel to stay at on the day of my birthday, Hampton Inn Majestic…read moreChicago Theatre District was the first to pop-up within Chicago. I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

Hampton Inn majestic will let you relive the Chicago fire!!!…read more Was not a fan of their elevators since they kept jumping from levels 6 and 7 and would randomly stop without being called. The last Hampton inn I got stuck in the elavator and had an off experience with getting help, so I chose to use the stairs. Upon using the stairs we were met with SEVERAL linen boxes blocking our only exit. They were all in different directions and could not be easily rolled out, especially when we were blocked behind them. Instead we had to parkour over it to escape. There was a valet driver sitting at the front and ignored us after I asked for help and continued to say she's just valet she can't do anything. These bins were there for well over an acceptable time, blocking the only stairs and fire safety exit but also for people that didn't enjoy their sketchy elevators. And again, pallets were there days later also blocking the ONLY emergency exit and stairwell exit. Completely unacceptable in a normal city let alone one with history of building fires. Exits should not be blocked and it's clear the building uses this space for "storage" often. Before the fire situation even happened, their breakfast situation was insane. Our first morning was on a Monday. Their service is until 10 am and around 9am we headed down for some fuel. By that time, the dining room was packed, the tiny buffet room was empty of food but packed with people who were waiting for tables, chairs and all of the food to be restocked. One woman was trying to run the whole operation while two men just stood behind the concierge desk and watched the shit show of breakfast service happen in front of them. Someone should have helped her get breakfast together. Even if it wasn't their job, in hospitality, their job as hotel manger or anyone who works in the hotel is to make sure the guest have a pleasant stay, not to look pretty sitting in front of the Hampton inn welcome to Chicago sign. Overall unorganized and not something nice to look at when you first walk into a hotel lobby, chaos. You would think the grievances would stop there. However we were then denied the benefits that we get as gold Hilton members. Previously at hiltons and Hilton branches we have been offered two bottles of water per room per day. Most of the time they would be offered upon check in (which they did not) and given daily throughout our stay. This time the concierge allowed my mom just to go grab them out of the fridge. The next day we did the same and the concierge Robyn gave me immediate backlash even after I said we were previously allowed to take them. She repeatedly said I was wrong and gave no hospitality to hear my side of the story. I didn't want to cause a scene and returned my water. She then slammed them onto our table as I was eating breakfast with my family. Definitely could have been better ways for her to deal with the problem and I did not appreciate the hostility coming from the concierge at 9 am. We were already all crammed at a small table because there are no seating arrangements easily accessible for families or even enough seats in the dining room. One star because housekeeping did great and my room was clean and refreshed when necessary (and because zero is not an option) Otherwise I would hope I never have to stay here again.

The staff were somewhat friendly until different things started to come up... 1st issue: Friday night the elevators completely stopped working. Big problem due to having a small infant and needing to get the stroller down. We were staying on the 10th floor. But an even bigger problem was that we started to notice floods of people come on our floor and notify us that there was not an exit even via the stairs!!!! My husband got on the phone with the front desk and the reply was "you are just going to have to wait for the elevator." This was completely unacceptable and UNSAFE- what if there was a fire? What if something dangerous was happening and we couldn't get out of the building? This itself would have landed this hotel at a 1-2 rating. The elevator issue didn't fill resolve itself for our whole stay- only 2/3 were in service and they took 5-10 minutes to show up each time. Seriously inconvenient. 2nd issue: they put one of our rooms (we had 3 groups) literally next to the pool. Kids were screaming their heads off beginning at 6:30am and it would carry on until 10pm. When SIL called down to the front desk she was told "sorry that's just how it is and it should quiet down soon." Again, completely unacceptable. We had young children and infants who needed to nap and go to bed early. 3rd issue: we asked for a late check out since our flight was later and we needed to get our baby to take a nap- after all of these issues they said they would extend it to 1:00, which was nice. We did then ask if it could be extended another hour and we were told it would cost $25. Fine... what was not fine was when there was banging on our door and someone walked in at 1:25pm to clean the room. It woke up our baby and completely defeated the purpose of us extending our late check out and paying the extra $25. 4th issue: apparently they don't clean the rooms unless you are staying for 3 or more nights? We didn't know about this and assumed we would get new towels since there is a sign in the bathroom saying "hang towels to reuse" or "if you would like new ones, place them on the floor". We needed new towels so we followed what it said and then were told our rooms wouldn't be cleaned or even checked to see if we needed new towels. Good things I will say: - very convenient area - provided a pack n play - Starbucks in the hotel - hotel room was clean Would have love for this stay to have been better since the Marriott is well known and usually a great place to stay.... but the lack of customer service makes it hard to want to book another room at a Marriott hotel.

How can you foreclose what I had totally paid for, and refused to grant my trips I guess I was supposed to leave my sick disabled mother and go take vacations. They didn't try to work with me. After a presentation by mannequin looking sales representatives with plastic smiles for 2 boring hours. We were led basically to what was a bull pen and sent sales representatives out who practically hunted you down and said please just listen to our package deals. I tried to say no, and when I asked for the way out they hedged and started the pitch with me standing there subjected to high-pressure, long sales pitches that they do not take "no" for an answer. My instinct told me not sign the contract but I am like hey maybe I can use a couple of vacation. I was harassed and flat out hustled me. They have all these hidden restrictions, if you call them they bounce you around like a basketball. I was trying to communicate the situation about my mother's illness and they just avoided me. Unfortunately, I found out customer service and experience that you receive at Hilton won't be the same as HGV promotional presentations. HGV's goal is to sell you on the timeshare package and use ANY excuse to renege despite. I used to love Hilton hotels but after this experience I will NEVER PATRONIZE the hotels again, and I advise no one else do so either unless you love your money stolen, and strategic ploys to undermine you and keep your money, they use high maintenance fees and another situation. They keep calling me telling me if I pay 199.00 I could rent my timeshares out for 17,000 to 25,000 because companies were willing to pay. If I don't have a time share why are they constantly call me to rent mine out. Also, why do I have to pay to rent out my timeshare??? IT IS ALL A SCAM to get your hard earned money to benefit thugs in suits getting rich off your money So I kept calling, they only answered when I complained about them to BBB. And I was told rather coldly, I couldn't get my money back nor go on any trips. So just took 2,000 dollars from me because of a situation that was totally unavailable and show no compassion, nor did they try to commit to the "excellent service" they provide. These promotional vacation packages have strict, rules that are not clear and when you try to get an understanding, they shut you down. and just a bunch of malarkey. I also found out Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) and Hilton hotels are affiliated. They use that HGV program to find more idiots for them to get richer. I don't care if these are two "separate " entities. Hilton allows them to use their name to lure people in. You can not tell me Hilton and HGV are cohorts in crime. If you let scammers use your name it's simple math both entities are scammers. I advise you to avoid both like I said unless you have free money to give away.

They have these robot bellhops, Leo and Cleo, that took me to my room and delivered extra towels and amenities right to my door. The best part? They sound like Ralph and Alice Cramdomln that just took a crash course in robotic hotel hospitality. You open the door and half expect the little brass canister to mutter about all the corporate wankers wandering around the lobby, but instead, it cracks a dry joke, hands off your delivery, and whirs back down the hall. It's genuinely hilarious and completely charming. The food level is outstanding too. Had an incredible slice of Quiche Lorraine paired with a crisp bottle of Sancerre. Flaky, rich, and balanced to perfection. No corner-cutting in the kitchen whatsoever, open kitchen to watch where the cooking magic comes from. It's stylish, clever, memorable, and has just the right amount of cynical humor built into the tech. Easily a full five stars, I'd come back in a heartbeat.

If you're able to splurge for club access at $200/person, you'll get to experience stunning city views, breakfast, afternoon tea, snacks, unlimited cocktails, and evening bites. We were also sent a bottle of wine and snacks to our room. I loved that they have a free spa area where you can use the sauna, heated stone loungers, and cold showers. The pool was stunning and we enjoyed swimming, just wish the hot tub was hotter as it was lukewarm. The room was great as well with a Nespresso machine and relaxing tub. Every time we stepped out of the room we would come back to a nice surprise, the room would be cleaned or they would leave the water and ice. Very attentive customer service here. Overall it was nice to live in luxury for the night, highly recommend if you're looking to splurge and relax! Hope I'll be able to stay again someday.

Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

We had forgotten something and asked to borrow it at the check-in desk, and they and security were super helpful and pleasant. The room was smallish but plenty big for our purposes. Two queen beds, comfy and clean. Decent-sized bathroom. Nothing big or fancy about any of it, but sleek and comfortable. Nice view of the city out a big window. Plenty of charging points. Very minimal free breakfast, but handy enough, with great staff there too. Caffeine and other sustenance to get you out the door. A bit expensive but, hey, heart of the city, and we came near some big events that surely drove the price up. I'd stay here again.
