Fantastic service, delicious food, and a simple and inviting atmosphere. Me and my boyfriend wanted to have something light to eat and were also in the mood for bloody mary's and mimosa's. So I did what I usually do look on Yelp. And I came across this gem. Such a cute place. And the staff is very accommodating. I'm giving two stars because the food tasted great and the area was nice especially on the patio. Our waitress was friendly, albeit a little busy. However, I ended up getting severe food poisoning from my steak and eggs dish. I'm assuming the steak was the culprit as my friends both had eggs with no issues. I called this morning to let them know and was disappointed when the man who answered didn't seem to take me seriously and didn't even mention that they were going to investigate the issue. I feel unheard and I feel poorly for any other guests that may have to go through what I am currently. read more

Was in the area of San Pedro, and decided to grab a quick bite for dinner. We were curious about this place because we know that there are a few other "Think" Restaurants in town, and we figured the food must be good if they keep opening up new locations. First of all the service was great, no complaints there. We were also pleased with the generous helping of hot bread that we were able to enjoy while our entres were being prepared. I ended up ordering the seared ahi, with wasabi mashed potatos and garlic sauted spinach. The plate was quite beautiful when brought out.. a huge piece of fish on a giant mountain of potatos and the spinach resting atop, surrounded by a moat of orange roe. The food looked very fresh and the portions generous, I was excited to dive in. Unfortunately, I found the ahi to be prepared in a very strange way. It looked like it had been seared in olive oil so it was very crusty on the outside (kindof tough), and very flavorless. In fact, there was no seasoning whatsoever on the fish, or the mashed potatos (which were supposed to be wasabi laced).. I couldn't even tasted salt! The spinach, on the other hand was very well seasoned with garlic, unfortunately it was a bit mushy and overdone (which I could forgive, I still ate it and enjoyed it). The fiance ordered a simple hamburger, and he said it reminded him of a burger he could've gotten at Denny's.... just fine, but nothing great. Once we looked around, we found that everyone was a part of a much older retired looking age bracket, and it dawned on us that they all must find the bland flavors very delicious.... nothing wrong with that, just not our cup of tea. I like like boldly seasoned food, so I am sure I will not be giving this place another shot. All in all, we were pleased with the service, the food was fresh, and the helpings generous, but our tastebuds were underwelmed and quite bored.... a good restaurant just not for us. read more

Very cute Lil cafe tucked in amongst office bldgs holds alot of charm. My friend had a veggie dish and I had whitefish tacos and a chopped fruit bowl. The best part was the company! I missed seeing Mayzina so we sat and ate and talked and I ate again lol so they revised the bill and we went outside and sat on a bench and talked two more hrs. Need to improve their breakfast. There bacon is terrible, taste like it was pre-frozen or maybe just cheap bacon. Hashbrowns bland, they could offer something a little more tasty like home fries with onions and bell peppers. Restaurant is pleasant with good service and cooks. This is a great place for an upscale yet reasonable breakfast or lunch. Easy to get in to and good quality food in a cool setting.

First off the bread is amazing! Service is always good (everytime we have gone). Had the fish and chips....super yummy. Not alot of batter and they use sanddaps! Fresh spinach (instead of French fries). I love the house salad that goes with the meal and the house dressing is amazing. We sat outside. Overall I like this restaurant however every time I come with family the waiters are always mad about something that doesn't apply to doing their job . I understand sometimes you have a long day but that doesn't allow you to be rude when a customer asks for something . It makes the whole experience garbage even if the food is good. I was back in San Pedro this week and checked out the Think Cafe for lunch. Everytime I am faced with a new, unfamiliar menu, I want to order it all. But then I didn't want to order anything basic like a salad though they do have quite a few interesting looking ones. I decided to get the ribeye sandwich except I later discovered the ribeye which is listed under the sandwiches, was not in fact served as a sandwich. They do have a dip if you want that. The steak is just a steak. I asked for it to be medium rare. It came served with cucumber and tomato slices, a drizzle of thick balsamic sauce and some bleu cheese and sliced red onions. It was pretty spiffy looking and not too expensive. My dining companions seemed to enjoyed their meals. I thought my steak was fine. Service was nice considering some of our table arrived in various intervals. Our drinks were refilled constantly. Located on 5th in an office building, they have some parking but the lot was very full when I arrived. I ended up parking in a nearby metered lot. read more

Good food, fast. I got the turkey club and he got the pancakes with a side of bacon. Can't go wrong with bacon at breakfast/lunch, and their bacon was perfectly cooked and thick-cut. I also decided to try the pea salad, because I had never heard of such a thing, and although probably not the healthiest, it was super yummy. Only complaint is that some guy dropped an entire glass of ice water all over himself (and had a good sense of humor about it), but the water and ice went everywhere, right near the front entrance. Instead of cleaning up the mess so that people wouldn't slip and fall on the way in and out (as we were doing), there were about three or four staff joking with the guy. read more

Great brunch spot in a quaint spot located by the port. Had a full bar and tv located all around so nice place to hang out and watch the game. Today came in early for brunch and enjoy a great meal after my workout with the family. They had an outdoor seating area so we opted to enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather. The menu contained many great entrees and appetizers and my hunger was overwhelming. I opted for the meat lovers omelette with an order of French toast, the kids had pancakes and eggs. Our waitress was quick and accommodating and since my kids are picky I was able to ask for angel hair pasta for my one year old. What a place, being able to order off menu was truly a blessing. Great timing since both were a little restless, even making a special smoothie to calm the nerves. Service too was quick and seam less. Watching others order and receive their meals threw me off, when it came to our order they were out within minutes and periodically checked in throughout the duration of our meal. My sister loves this place, but I was a little wary because I had an okay but nothing special experience at Think Bistro. I was pleasantly surprised. Went for an engagement dinner. Parking at a meter was easy and free because it wasn't on the clock, score one. Had the choice of a few items, including chicken piccata and a ribeye steak. I am a huge steak fan, but an even bigger chicken piccata fan so went for the chicken, husband went for the steak. Starter was either soup or a salad. I went for the salad, my husband the soup. Can't for the life of me remember what kind of soup it was, only remember it as being really good and having fresh pepper on it. Held the feta cheese on the salad and enjoyed the balsamic vinegarette. Bread kept flowing out, and this is so dangerous! Nice and fluffy and a total dinner killer because you can fill up on it if you're not careful. Chicken piccata was delicious and generous. Two HUGE chicken breast pieces with a side of vegetables. Steak was well cooked and of a decent tenderness and very reasonably priced. Service was great. There were over 20 of us, more than was originally planned, and they quickly rearranged the room to fit everyone. They kept a good eye on the party, and quickly refilled drinks. My husband and I went here for dinner about 8pm (they close at 9). The place has a cozy atmosphere and the staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Unfortunately, we felt a bit rushed towards the end. As soon as we finished something, they removed it. I get it--you want to go home--but let me finish chewing! Damn... My husband ordered the french dip. He said the au jus was a little bland but the beef was tender and delicious. I had the chicken piccata. The chicken is served on a bed of assorted sauteed veggies (now THAT I liked). But that was it. No starch. I felt it was missing something to sop the sauce up with. It was a different presentation than what I'm used to but it was fine. The lemon in the piccata was a bit overwhelming though. I'm a little on the fence about this place. Didn't dislike it but didn't like it enough to say for sure I'm coming back. Excellent customer service, up and beyond most places (5 stars) beverage glasses were always kept filled, bread basket was graciously refilled with freshly baked bread. Portion sizes for the Benedict and potatoes were perfect. I asked for a side of jalapeño chili, and the waitress said ,"no problem, would you like them grilled or sliced?" I said both. Again, no problem. She suggested the potatoes au gratin, which were disappointing because they lack flavor. I added a little salt and the potatoes magically jumped up a notch. read more

Always a great meal. I do not like bacon but I love their bacon. Love their clam chowder, love their salads and pasta. Love it all. I have taken a bunch of friends there and we all enjoy it. Only problem is...twice we have gone there but they were closed for a private party. This was before they expanded (patio) and we are talking about in the last maybe 8 years. Service is great. Nick and I went to Think Cafe for dinner tonight. Once again the good was really good. Nick had the Chicken Marsala and said it was perfectly seasoned. He took half of it home for breakfast tomorrow. I have the Halibut and while it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the vegetables that it came with were the star of the meal! Really great end to a long day. We'll be back. read more

I really wanted to give this place 3 1/2 stars but I Rounded it to 4 stars. The music by Tom Ferjo,every Saturday evening is fantastic.That's why I like to go to this restaurant on Saturday nights.our appetizer for the table was fried calamari the dinners were roasted duck and Porkchop and sand dab,The fried calamari was definitely too greasy for my taste. The roasted duck was good and the sand dab was excellent I think that's their signature dish. Porkchop was okay little too salty for my taste. I'd like to try everybody's food since I'm writing a review.our waitress was Michelle and she was very good. The prices are very reasonable. I always try to rate the restaurant based on quality of food and the prices.this selection of wine is also very good.I will go back. read more

Went there to celebrate my mom's birthday, our reservation is for 6:30 for 17 people. At 10 minutes to 8 we had still not received any food. The night started off on a bad note when they didn't have enough menus the whole table, and their excuse being that there was another party in the other room. The waitress was actually the one that was communicating everything to us at no point did anyone from management come out and talk to the table to explain what was going on with our food or anything like that. When I went inside to ask for manager I was asked why I wanted to speak to a manager.!! Once i actually was able to speak to the owner, who did nothing except give me excuses as to why the food was late and why they weren't enough menus. And to top it all off she did not know that we were celebrating a birthday. Her response to the whole situation was and I quote" I'll take care of" it When the food finally arrives at the table more than an hour and a half after we sat down. We had asked for one of those salads be with no cheese when the plate got in front of the guest it was very obvious that they had put cheese on it and then remembered and picked it off as they were still cheese particles around the plate and on the salad. Also the food came in waves each course was drawn out some people getting their food and somebody else would get their food it didn't all come at once. To act all this the way that the manager" took care of us" was to give us 6 desserts for a table of 17. Unfortunately because of the lack of customer service the wait time the unprofessional way everything was handled we will not be coming to this restaurant again read more

We have held our banquet at the Think Cafe for several years now and they have always done an outstanding job. The wait staff is wonderful, attentive and very helpful. The food is excellent, comes out hot and is served with always plated with style. Considering they are serving 40 or so of us at one time, I consider that a very good job. The side room they have for banquets holds about 50 or so people and is a nice for smaller groups and the food is really very good. They have several menu options to choose from so you can get a price point that your group can handle. I would highly recommend the Think Cafe for any smaller club or group looking for a banquet restaurant facility for their group function. read more
