This is one of San Pedro's best kept secrets. Affordable, friendly, fresh, wholesome foods with great servers and staff and reasonably priced alcoholic beverages. Think Cafe was an experiance like none I had ever had before. The food was EXCELLENT, the service was suberp, the overall ambience was enjoyable relaxing. I highly reccommend this restuarant to anyone looking for a pleasant outting. I had the special of the night when I was there last week, a Prime flank steak, stuffed with scallions and mushrooms. One of the greatest places for dinner in town. (Haven't tried breakfast or lunch yet) The owner/chef does an excellent job. He is innovative, likes to create new specials, does an awesome job on fish, pasta and meat. I'm not giving five stars as my biggest gripe is their dinner bread. For the price point, they should serve bread that is on par with La Brea bread. The soft tasteless french bread is really a bummer. I also don't appreciate the $15 corkage fee. Every now and then I have a special bottle I want to drink from my wine cellar, and if I don't feel like cooking dinner I might want to bring it along. At least the restaurant is getting the food business. I would like the owner to contemplate lowering the fee or not charging at all. Overall, one of my favorite places in town. read more

The atmosphere is very good on a Saturday Evening. They have a live band which is nice. I know it's the taste of the food that keeps people coming back. I have been there twice and so far so good! I enjoy Think cafe quite a bit. Their selection of creative and different menu items always refreshes my taste buds. Most of the time I am satisfied with the freshness of ingredients and service. The Think cafe has a nice outdoor seating area which is great on the warm days. Breakfast is my favorite to sit down with a coffee and a frittata. I gave this cafe a 4/5 because there are a few items on the menu which i think may be a little overpriced, but those are few and far in between. I ordered the grilled rib eye steak which turned out to be a ridiculously thin piece of meat you'd find on the breakfast menu at Dennys. I'm not kidding when I say this so called steak was about 3/8s of an inch thick. If you can't offer a decent, simple steak, take it off of the menu. Go elsewhere. read more

We were so excited to try this restaurant. The place was very clean and had lots of good seating. The food was just so so; I had Shrimp Scampi with 4 large shrimp, the shrimp was dry and over cooked and tasted like they forgot to clean the grill after breakfast service; but the pasta was really good. Mine dinner was $19.00. My husband got the shrimp "special" and again dry and over cooked and tasted like egg. This special was only 4 jumbo shrimp over mashed potatoes and was $30.00 very pricey for where we live. Not a great value. Soup was very good though. Too many good, casual and reasonably priced places to choose from down here, wish this was one of them. read more

first off, when my boyfriend and i read the menu we couldnt wait to order something, eat, and come back again already to try something else. thats how excited about just reading the menu we got! its nice to have a menu with assorted fare thats not 5 pages long and all over the place with too many options. think cafe is very reasonable wallet wise considering the quality of what you receive. i ordered the french beef dip (not the exactly what its called but i cant remember). the meat was tender and juicy, and the dip was awesome. I was even dipping my fries in it! we will certainly return...hopefully for breakfast or dinner (we had lunch this time). read more

This place has good food so that's the cool part about my review .. my friend got me to Start coming here because it's close to my work. It was good for a while, but I got the feel, once you're a familiar face, they take you for granted. Went there a couple weeks ago, Wendy was my waitress and she is the reason I will probably never go back.. she wasn't attentive, she was very rude and moody.. I felt so uncomfortable with her to the point where I just couldn't leave her a tip because I thought my experience with her was just awful. Nice find in San Pedro. Not sure I belong in a joint called Think Cafe but went for lunch after a visit to Cabrillo marina and glad I did. It's right next to the court house so as long as you can stand eating with lots of lawyers I think you'll enjoy this spot. Nice casual atmosphere inside and patio seating as well. I had the Cuban sandwich which was one of 3 specials of the day and I was impressed with it. It was an excellent pressed Cuban pork sandwich with lots of flavor and better than most of the Cubanos I've had at Cuban joints. I thought I'd try their pea salad side which was a pleasant surprise mixed with onions and bacon bits, very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient and parking's a breeze in the lot. Was wandering down the now very desolate and slightly sad 6th St in San Pedro and came upon this cafe a few blocks away. Walking in I wasn't expecting the amazing service my friend and I ended up enjoying. Our server Wendy was responsive and kept her eyes on us in a very subtle, not creepy manner. She knew exactly when to come up and ask us if we needed anything! Also when she overheard my friend and I were sharing our dishes she split them evenly amongst us so we wouldn't have to pick off of the others plate. It was really nice of her! No issues splitting the check either. We definitely obnoxiously over tipped because of her great service. Enough about that, the food itself was pretty damn great too! We got the goat cheese & macadamia nut salad and that was absolutely amazing. The sandwich we shared was refreshing and the baguette it was on wasn't the kind that hurt the roof of your mouth like Lee's. I went there on a Saturday after attending a birthday party for a lady who was turning 100 and was so impressed by the food and the service that I just had to go back. My friend and I shared the best calamari we have ever tasted - so fresh it must have just come out of the water.
