The green tangerine is the Jeju cheonggyul thing, the unripe fruit picked before it sweetens, so you get a sharper, almost yuzu-adjacent bitterness instead of orange juice sweetness. That's the right call against matcha. Grassy tea, tart citrus, light sugar, actual carbonation that hadn't gone flat by the time I got to the bottom. The matcha stayed suspended too, which is harder than it sounds in soda water. Dried citrus wheel on top is a real garnish, not a sad afterthought. Staff were genuinely into it. I asked what grade of matcha they use and how it's built, and got straight answers with zero eye-rolling. Rare at a counter-service spot at 1410 Broadway, where most places are just moving the garment district lunch crowd through. It's eight bucks for a fizzy tea. That's steep, and the room is basically a lobby cafe with very little seating, so this is a grab-and-walk-to-Bryant-Park situation, not a linger. Still, if you're a tea person stuck in a coffee city, this is one of the better cold matcha drinks in Midtown right now. Better balanced than Kijitora's peach fizz, which leans sweet. Order it, skip the seating, don't expect quiet.

I have been recently suggested to visit the Third Rall Coffee. I can tell that their coffee is one of the best I ve ever tried. Additionally to the high quality of the coffee I was also amazed by the pictures they do for customers. I think it is particularly valuable when you can turn ur own business into something more than just a business. They turned it into a great a mix of a slight art and just a making of a money. The only one thing for downgrading is just a typical furniture inside. It is designed to make you unwilling to seat for a long there. Except of it, everything is great. I would recommend this place for lovers of a good coffee and a bit piece of an art. read more

This shop is an awesome place to grab a quick cup of coffee. No complaints about the coffee, the service was great. The baristas was friendly and helpful. The place is usually crowed with people and the seating are generally limited. They have a few little tables and seats at most 10 people. They also have pastries or sugared goodies for sale. They only accepts cash, which is a bummer. Other than that, I have enjoyed a cup of cappuccino with perfect blend, temperature, and foam. I would very much like to return here for more. read more

Teeny tiny coffee shop. Only been in twice and had iced latte both times, which was good. I'm no coffee connoisseur, but this place won my heart by being dog friendly. Brought in my little foster maltipoo, and when I asked if it was ok he was in there, the guy behind the counter was really nice about it. So rare in the city! Wouldn't recommend coming in with a bigger dog though bc the space is so tiny, and the place is generally pretty packed. But overall, love it and making it my go to neighborhood coffee shop! read more

Best espresso! I like mine extra strong and this place exceeded my expectations. And that is not easy to do. I am a coffee/espresso snob, o admit it. The place is small but i came for the caffeine not the decor. Don't know what third rail means, but i hope it isn't drug related. My drug of choice is caffeine. I'm all hopped up on it right now. I ordered the Cortado per the cashier's recommendation and it was very tasty. About two shots of espresso and an equivalent amount of milk (less than a flat white), a very nice kick and not too filing. I'd definitely recommend sipping it. The decoration of the store is pretty low-key and the fit a surprising amount of seating space into such a small store front. read more

I go here a lot in the summer when all I want is iced coffee, but once it gets colder I'll switch back to Joe's for hot drinks and their amazing cookies. I like strong coffee but hate when it tastes burnt (i.e. starbucks). Third rail makes the perfect brew. Minus one star because I'm not a big fan of the iced coffee and the small space is a little too cramped to be able to sit and enjoy a cup. But otherwise great spot. read more
