Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. The Thirsty Tavern I stopped by The Thirsty Tavern while on a business trip and was drawn in by its local flair. The place has a cozy, small-town vibe with a mix of locals hanging out at the bar. As the evening went on, it got busier, mostly with more locals arriving, which added to the lively atmosphere. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, which I appreciated. For starters, I ordered the fried calamari. It came out hot and was served with a tangy tomato sauce and a wedge of lemon. Unfortunately, the calamari was a bit on the chewy side and didn't have the crispiness I was hoping for. For my main dish, I chose the Thirty's Triple Sauté--a hearty combination of sausage, chicken, and shrimp over a bed of rice with onions, peppers, and a flavorful sauce. While the taste was spot-on, the dish arrived so piping hot that it burned my mouth, and I had to wait a long time for it to cool down. By the time I could really enjoy it, the delay had put a damper on the experience. Overall, The Thirsty Tavern had some positives: friendly service, a great local vibe, and decent flavors. But the execution of the dishes left something to be desired. If I'm in the area again, I'd probably look for a different spot. read more

And the owner is an alcoholic with no regard for his own business!!! He is his own down fall for his business and the better business bureau will be notified of this!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! EVER!!!! My friends and I go to Thirstys several times a month. Their Sunday pasta specials are what bring us there. They give you four choices and you can eat as much as you want. The food is very good. Their salad with Romaine lettuce,olives, onions, etc along with great salad dressings is a great choice. I prefer the house salad with real crumbled blue cheese and Catalina dressing is tops. My adult daughter and I were there for dinner on July 2nd. We started with Margaritas which were reasonably priced and well mixed. For dinner, I had the ahi tuna; she had the shrimp with pesto. I asked for rare seared tuna, and it was cooked perfectly. My daughter, who can be quite critical, loved the pesto sauce on her pasta and shrimp. Branchburg's version of Cheers. If you want to go where everyone knows your name, and have a good meal, Thirsty's is the place. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced, and the service is great. Been going for over 15 years now. Meg & Dee are the best. We sit at the bar every other Saturday and I usually get French Onion Soup Cheese well done and a burger. Lisa gets either a burger or salad. Meg and Dee have been there each over 25 years!!!! So you know it's great when you sit down and know everyone at the bar. Phil the owner is usually pretty friendly as well. I don't think in over 300 visits there that I have had one bad experience. read more

I went here a couple of days ago and it was amazing I got the amazing fish and chips my little girl got chicken and said that she loved it my oldest got pork-roll (taylor ham) and she also said that is was great and then we got the clams I loved them but my kids just said that they are ok.
